Foreign Soldiers/Spies Found In the CYS

Negotin, a small border town, had always been a tranquil and quiet place... That would soon change as residents of the small agricultural community began noticing things, things that originated from a formerly abandoned farm 'house' a few kilometres outside of the city.

More Negotin residents were on edge when six people moved into the city, claiming to be from the nearby town of Bor. It was rather odd, especially since most of the people in Negotin had relatives in Bor. Those relatives said no one had left the city in months and the population had remained steady. After deliberation, the mayor of Negotin called up the nation's military which then said it'd deploy some of its famous (to our nation) Black Berets, the most highly trained soldiers in the CYS.

Operations began at 0445 that morning...

Squad sergeant Miro Batez, a Black Beret operative from the industrial city of Nis, loaded his team aboard one of the Mi-8 Hoplite helicopters. It was him and the other six members of his team. Another two Hoplites were loaded up with one team each. Operational plans called for SH Alpha to deposit its team two kilometres from the town of Negotin. SH Bravo would follow suit and deposit its team two kilometres to the east of Negotin. SH Charlie would drop its team off eight kilometres south of Negotin, about three kilometres east of the farm house.

President Zoran Djindjic and his military advisors suspected possible foreign spies, as some high-level government officials were from Negotin and Bor or knew someone from the two cities. This operation would be of the utmost secrecy and capture the suspected spies and find out their nationality.

At 0636 in the morning, SH A and SH B deposited their teams at their designated drop-off points. SH C dropped its team off at the designated position about four minutes later.

Sergeant Batez waved the Mi-8 off before he crouched down, his AK-74U coming to his shoulder almost instinctively. His eyes traced the AK-74U's stamped receiver to its wooden forward stock then to the protruding silencer... He brought his cheek down to rest on the butt stock and glanced through the weapon's Kobra red-dot sight while simultaneously sliding down the weapon's 'safety', which wasn't much of a safety at all. He scanned his sector before muttering something into a mic strapped to his helmet. He received some muffled responses. His left hand dropped from the AK-74U and waved forward. Out of the corner of his eye he watched as Corporal Savo Zerec moved forward, his AKS-74U firmly pressed against his shoulder, the optical POSP scope pressed to his eye socket. A few metres away was Corporal Aladar Rozic, who carried with him an RPK squad machine gun which hung at his waist, he swung it from side to side as he waivered up to a position. Two more men, Corporal Rebaca and Corporal Savic, ran up in a tight formation, their AKS-74Us at the ready, each one starind down their rifle's barrel.

The sergeant turned his head to junior sergeant Drago Vidic, his executive sergeant. Batez jerked his head and Vidic complied, hopping up and running forward into the dense Yugoslavian woods.

The team slid through the woods, hopping from tree to tree and from bush to bush. Within minutes they could hear the morning noises of the Negotin residents, none of which knew they were coming. Residents of the city had given the military the location of the 'odd people', a building conveniently located near the woods.

Soon enough, the team moved up along the edges of the woods... Sergeant Batez spoke into his mic... "Zerec, Rozic, Rebaca. Move up along west side of house, stay in cover. Vidic, Savic, follow me. We'll move up along east."

Five responses came into his headset, he replied with a quiet "Go." Batez watched as Zerec led his team along the edge of the woods, circumventing the house. Batez turned and nodded to Savic before smoothly moving into the open with fluid movements. As he slowly moved, no one noticed him due to the slowness and fluidity of his movements. The other two followed before setting up positions behind carts, wooden barrels, any cover. Batez spoke into his mic, this time to the second team, which had inserted on the opposite end of Negotin. He affirmed his team was ready for the second team's movement. Batez's team would cover the second team.

--

The second team quietly slid through the urban setting of Negotin, their AK-74s raised and ready, Kobra's turned on and sighted in. The team halted across the street from the suspected spies home. A minute later and they filtered down the street before moving across and dissolving into the urban landscape again. They emerged near the home and encircled it. One team member near each window. Each soldier pulled out a tear gas grenade and pulled the pin, squeezing the handle before smashing the windows in with their elbows and lobbing the grenades in... Each soldier turned around and brought their AK-74s up to their shoulders firing a few rounds harmlessly into the side of the building. Each soldier than hopped back a few steps before moving to where team one was located. Team one then donned gas masks and quickly moved into position.

Zerec blew out the door lock with his SPAS-12 shotgun and kicked the door in. Batez's team moved in and filtered into the building, finding six men coughing, lying on the ground. The men quickly subdued the 'spies' and handcuffed them, shoving them out the door and into the dirt, a few receiving the butt-stocks of an AK-74 in their faces or backs. One of the soldiers had his boot firmly pressed into the small of the back of one of the prisoners. Batez called in for the URALs and UAZs waiting outside the town to move in and grab the prisoners.

Zerec and his team searched the house while Batez's team secured the prisoners. Numerous silenced assault rifles, explosives, armor, vests, and other military gear were found. However, no nationality is known as of yet.

--------

This same scene repeated itself outside the town where four more men were found in the farmhouse. Numerous weapons were found here as well including pistols, assault rifles, explosives, unmarked uniforms, and anti-tank weapons.

Zoran Djindjic released this statement today:

"To the nations of the world, especially to those who are interested in the developments in Yugoslavia. Today, we successfully apprehended seven foreign spies, all male. They were found with weapons and explosives, their intent was unknown although we believe they were either spies or terrorists hired by a foreign entity to conduct terrorism in the CYS. Our excellent intelligence and special forces services were able to apprehend the suspects before any damage could be wrought.

We demand to know who supported these foreigners. As of now, the suspects are being interrogated by CYS special forces."

The Head of SOT Forces Manager (Charles Sweltz) for this sector let out a slow sigh, then a string of swears,"Why the hell would our men make such a rookie mistake! For godsake, they were supposed to be finding a god-dang civilian that was tied to the mob. Ask the Head of Forces, Trade, and Civility what we should do. If we let them die, I wouldn't stand for it, but we can't make this public."

*Around 7 Minutes later*
HoF (Head of Forces) Jackson McAbb let out a nice slow breath of air, already a skilled diplomat and now Head of Trade and Forces it was his duty to allow a nation to know what had happened. Already he could see the outcome, send in the "Black Knights" or the SOT Advanced crew to get them out, and that would be bloody, even without gunshots. Only one problem, they were giving 9mm SA Pistols with 40 Clips a piece, nothing more, nothing less. How the hell did they recieve weapons, and were they still SOT. Only one thing for sure, ask if Turetelian Intel could ask a few question to the men face to face, see if they should be punished, and by whom.

"Charles, I will 'talk' to their government, see what I can do, but if all else fails, we will probably just leave them. I don't want maniac soldiers moving around, not 2 Col., 2 Lt. Col., 1 Major, 1 Capt., and 4 1st Lt.! My god, how could they all get caught! I'll tell you the results, have SOT-A Group-4 Ready for extraction!"

"Jackson, please get these men out..."

"How the hell did some of our best men get captured, if they are ours that is."
"Jackson calm down."
"Listen Thomas, you may be Head of Civility and you have every right to try and calm me, but you can not expect me to sit by and wait for a call that might not be returned. I can't help but wonder if it will!"
"Well war is always an option."
"War with a nation because 10 of our men were iddiots that got captured, my God No! I won't go to war without them trying to do it first. Besides I still want to know why they had all those "illegal" supplies. Besides, if they are in conjuction with terrorist, that is an instant death penalty, and by God I'll go over with a pistol myself and do it!"
"Well then Jack, you better wait!"

The CYS thanks the EUM for the invaluable intelligence. The area is now being scoured with special forces, paramilitary, police, and border security.

In related developments to the EUM disclosure, eleven more men were captured near the city of Majdanpek. They were unarmed but clearly foreigners, they will be interrogated and eventually tried for espionage and subversive acts against the state. They were captured after fifteen assorted electronics vehicles were positioned around the area, picking up all traffic on every frequency. Any encoded, mangled, or odd transmissions were checked out, eventually allowing CYS forces to capture the EUM spies.

OOC- I'm not sure if you officially informed us yet, but I'll act as though you did.

"I speak for myself and this entire nation when I ask why the hell do you have operatives in our nation? The operatives were found with uniforms, vests, armor, radios, assault rifles (including some CYS-marked weapons, most likely stolen), pistols, ammunition, explosives, and electronic devices.

We are willing to cooperate with Turetel in the event these men are rogue or terrorist funded. However, if they are found to have been under the command of Turetel, they will be put on trial for espionage, subversive activities, attempted terroristic activities, theft of property, burglary, and breaking and entering."

IC: Odds are they are terrorist funded or doing illegal operations, this is believed for the SOT Regional Manager was shot and killed by someone inside the base he was working at, also who was closely related and worked with the men, but that leaves us with one problem, a rouge and renegade 1-Star General whom is in the area that has not been found. His accounts have been seized and TSF members wish to cross into your nation and search for him in conjuction with you. It is recommend that you execute the 10 men you already have, as they are deemed "Terrorist" to the nation of Turetel now. Also let us give you a warning, a Turetelian Chopper was brought down in your coastal waters by one of our own men, he used a Ground to Air Missile, this shipment was drawn to your area by a SOS call, inside this craft is roughly 670,000 Dollars (USD) of advanced weapons and several outdated weapons, including 80 Clips per gun (average number of rounds is roughly 22). Also a large withdrawl was made from the General's Personal Bank (Also Seized) of nearly 44 Million USD (Cleaned it out, almost). With this he could buy roughly 78,500 M16-A2's with 30 Clips a piece. The nation of Turetel believes that terrorist are now in your nation. We can lend a hand with SOT-A and TSF Members.

The CYS thanks Turetel for the information on the activities in the CYS. Special operations and intelligence services are stepping up activities through-out the nation however, these operations are taking a severe toll on our small special forces and intel services groups. Our nation would gladly accept the forces provided by Turetel to assist in the apprehension of terrorist suspects.

Upon your recommendation, the CYS will publicly execute the terrorist-funded Turetel special forces in downtown Novi Sad. After a short trial, all the defendants were found guilty of all charges and sentenced to death.

Message to Yugoslavic Leader from Jackson McAbb

I am glad that you accept the aid of our Special Forces as well. We are also willing to pay damages and time that your men spent probing into the renegades. Another problem has occured, a Nuclear Warhead is missing from one of our bases that the General had access to. This could get ugly if we don't find him soon. The nuclear bomb has a small range of affect though (roughly 1.87 Sq. Miles). Even so, put into a city, it would have devastating effects. I am sending in 650 Men to help your forces out. The men are of Turetelian Special Forces and Special Operations Team Advanced. They are all known loyalist of Turetel and will not backstab unless ordered to do so. The TSF forces (350 men) will be under your direct control, and your higher ranking men. The SOT-A Forces on the other hand will be in contact with your men but be searching everywhere, and I mean everywhere for any clue as to where they might be. Also please be warned that we lost contact with a helicopter, again, but this time it willingly went down with 35 men in the ocean and to our knowledge rowed ashore, unarmed. Though the problem is the arms that we believe the General has purchased. If he has purchased anything wand supplied them then we have the start of SOT-A, CYS, and TSF Forces against Trained Rebels, Basic Trained Rebels, (NCO's of Turetel's Armed Forces) and some other nations people(s) or your own populace. Our best guess is that we might be in for a wild ride.

OOC: Alright.

IC: Balkan News Network: In breaking news, members of the Turetelian Common Party (Actually a small minority) has had clashes with the 2nd Marine Outfit near one of the nations many thousands of defence post. The Casualties for the combat are staggering, out of the small outfits 130 manned number, they lost 13 men and 18 wounded (most from a rocket attack and mortar round). Also the marines were forced to dig in and wait for the 3rd Infantry Platoon to assist (40 men). The rebels lost nearly 40 men and wounded 13 (captured). Intel reports that more attacks are likely. Most notable death was Rebel 2nd Lt. Jamison Jaks, a known Anarchist and possible terrorist.

Head of Forces Jackson McAbb today officially ceded the position of Head of Trade so that he may put all of his effort into this crisis. He also issued a public warning to police to be on the look-out. They responded by killing 7 Car Bombers and 2 Suicide Bombers.

SOT-A and SOT forces combed the country side and killed nearly 600 Rebels, and capturing a small 3. TSF Forces attacked from the air using the Balkan War Chopper to destroy 3 Safe Houses for Rebels.

It is not known at this time if the SOT/TSF forces knew of this Rebellion and were waiting to squash it or if they were got off their guard, for the first time in several years. This is BNN Official Reporter Karen Xil.
