The House of commons , and house of lords has recently passed a legislation saying it is legal for security forces to check mail and packages coming into the country. As of now, all packages and mail coming into the country are opened and resealed. Many groups are protesting against this blatant breaking of civil rights - however, Mark Brown has made it clear that this is a neccessary risk in such times of turbulence.

Also, it has become clear that Mark Brown has authorized a budget raise in the counter-terrorism department by 35%.

Tyrandis has had this policy in place since the founding of our nation.

The protestors were correct that our government were trying to repress civil rights... and were shot by the secret police.

Security > Civil Liberty

This has also been law in Celtayoshi for quite some time, although the protestors here had the good sense to keep it quiet.

Security of our nation is very important, civil liberties are less so.

The government of Aequatio has found it easier to not become the enemy of terrorist states and organizations rather than destroy the civil freedoms of our citizens. Lay low, it works!

True, but one must always have protection just in case. You never know when you might offend someone

You shouldn't be out to offend people though, being a big, powerful and friendly nation allows for a more peaceful and serene existance than an angry, offensive nation that is always under attack by terrorists.

I agree, I never try to offend anyone, but then again every once in a while something offensive is said, so, I feel it is best to protect my nation, and still try to be big, powerful and friendly.
