SUBSPACE - SHIVA WORLD STATION

This takes place Prior to the Feazanthian meeting

The new reactor was slowly being brought online, section b12 of the Shiva had been under minimal power for the past two weeks while the new reactor was being installed. This new and experimental design was a smaller temporal core that was designed for a larger energy output. All previous designs had been successful however no Shivan really knew if the power relays could handle the stress.

The huge hole left in the Shiva by the Kanuckistan missiles was now slowly being repaired, however the Imperium was now more distracted by a newer threat.

Containment Section A

Admiral Aken Bosch had passed away one hundred years ago, however the Shivans determined to keep the consciousness of this man alive copied it and then created a system to hold it intact, hence the birth of the nanite. Though each nanite is incapable of holding the consciousness of Admiral Bosch alone the Shivans designed the consciousness to be spread out between millions of Nanites effectively forming a brain. However the Shivans did not realise that Bosch now more warped than ever was now more twisted with the power that had been given to him. The Nanites (Bosch) designed to become the ultimate Shivan weapon had a slight flaw the Nanite system was controlled by Bosch and not the Shivans, so it was decided not to use the MK2 system which held the Bosch consciousness. So each nanite created was slowly deactivated resulting in the Bosch consciousness entering a hibernating state. So the Nanites came to be stored in a Science station in Section b12 of the world station.

The new reactor was now being brought online, everything was proceeding as planned until there was a huge energy spike. The reactors containment field unable to cope with the vast amounts of energy being generated failed. Huge energy spikes of plasma and electricity flew from the riveted reactor shell. Blasting through compartment after compartment the blast wave hit the nanite containment field causing it to collapse. Instantly the Nanites began to absorb the energy of the shockwave and they began to replicate millions of times. Within mere seconds the Nanites had begun to eat away at the hull of the world ship. Moving through section after section they were an unstoppable tide. Shivans fired their own plasma cannons at the destructive creatures however they were merely consumed by the tide of the mechanical monsters. Slowly but surely the Nanites were making their way to the outer hull of the Shiva, to subspace, to victory to the death of the Shivans. As multiple holes began to form in the black smooth hull of the Shiva the surrounding Shivan fleet opened fire upon the world station attempting to destroy the infesting plague. The Shivan beam cannons tearing at the hull of the now dieing ship only destroyed a minute part of the nanite collective. However the Shiva was now lost and with it Eight hundred million Shivans as well. As the Nanites reached fluidic space they began to spread and consume all matter. A wave of Nanites was spreading throughout subspace in every direction. It would only be a matter time before the other Shivan clans would be consumed.
The Nanites began to reach Shivan Ships and installations, grappling onto the hulls, they infested the ships, heading straight for computer cores and critical systems the Nanites slowly took control of each Shivan vessel from the IB clan Forming into larger creatures. The Nanites slowly took the shape of spidery creatures crawling their way through the Shivan ships the destroyed everything that came in their way.

Subspace was being consumed. Subspace was now Nanite space.

Tarenteor sat in his chair, looking on at the swarm of Nanites. On front of the ship, emong ten others in the fleet of 50 huge battleships, with fighters swarming around them, energy pulsed, as a brilliant flash of light suddenly ripped through the night, and anyone in the ships would immediately feel as though they were in an oven, as heat capable of melting sheets of steel came with the of light, as streams of particles ripped into the nanites and ships. Though they're too small to see with the naked eye, but at the speed they're traveling, they have the effect of bullets. Each ship releases thousands of these particles, to try and at least dent the flood of nanites, before three huge holes rip through space, and nebula-gas streams into space. Once the dust has cleared, the ships and wormhole are gone.

OOC: I'm making them now. Though, the PWC might be doing the trick. Massive heat and light, then thousands of little bullets! In an atmosphere, massive sonic boom too!

The vast emergency signal rippled from the Shiva throughout subspace, the vast swarm of Nanites began consuming the Shiva, eating away at the very fabric of its construction. Slowly the Nanites began to eat their way into the power cores releasing vast amounts of energy upon the microscopic foes. Escape pods and ships began evacuating the Shivans from the unaffected parts of the Shiva however the Nanites continued to grow and consume. The newest class of Shivan warship the Gargantuan entered the area of destruction it too began to attempt a mass evacuation however the Nanites were slowly making their way towards the vast war vessel. The flak cannons firing ass much as possible on conjunction with the micro missiles merely slowed the advance, within ten mere seconds of reaching orbit of the Shiva the gargantuan was under attack.

The Nanites began to eat away at the hull moving in towards the superstructure of the vessel, no longer in their smallest form the Nanites formed larger structures as they bonded together. The spider like creatures swarming down the corridors consumed every Shivan in their path until they hit the engineering section. Latching onto the command consoles and the computer cores the Nanites easily bypassed the security protocols and assumed control of the vessels systems.

As the Nanites began to consume everything the evacuation of subspace had begun.
