Colodia to annex Brazil following talks
(Following Earth II)
Following Brazil's victory in the 2004 Copa America Soccer games, Colodia has taken an interest in the large nation of Brazil. Not just for it's size, but for it's natural beauty.
Colodian government officials are trying to talk Brazil into joining the United States of Colodia by offering $50 billion dollars to the new state budget after being annexed, promising Colodian citizenship to all Brazilians, and an opportunity to become a part in one of the world's most advanced and oldest nation.
However, the Brazilian government is none too happy about giving up their independence to become another proud Colodian state. They demand 100 billion dollar budget, full citizenship, and for the government to keep their original positions.
Colodia warns the Brazilian government that, if they do not accept the gracious offer peacefully soon, invasion will be inevitable in the name of the advancement of Colodia.
After patiently waiting for Brazil to stop making ridiculous negotiation attempts with Colodia, President Pepper declares war on Brazil.
Colodian State, Colombia, will be heavily guarded by the South with the Army's 3rd National Defense. Even though the Army Generals doubt the 3rd National Defense will face many dangers. Seeing as how there is a rainforest...literally...RIGHT THERE IN THE MIDDLE of Colodian forces and Brazil.
Colodia's 1st Offensive Division will be prepared to be deployed, by the Navy, to the Southwestern Brazilian shoreline for an easier take-over of Brasilia, capitol of Brazil.
The 17th, 18th, and 20th Airborne will be assisting the 1st Offensive Division, but they will be deployed before them to weaken enemy defenses in order to allow the 1st Offensive to march toward Brasilia more efficiently.

Would the United States of Colodia be interested in leasing Transdormanian transport aircraft so as to facilitate an airborne invasion near Brasilia in order to rapidly defeat the Brazilians?
Would the United States of Colodia be interested in leasing Transdormanian transport aircraft so as to facilitate an airborne invasion near Brasilia in order to rapidly defeat the Brazilians?
hmm...yes we would. Expecting anything in return?

$3.5 million for leasing 24 aircraft for a month, $630,000, or the unit cost, for each aircraft you lose.
Although the cost is small, Colodia rejects your offer at the last moment. It would be a pity for such a large nation to need the assistance of others in order to take over Brazil.
The 17th, 18th, and 20th Airborne, consisting of 1,346 specially trained paratroopers who are ready to weaken enemy forces upon contact with the ground.
The Army's 1st Offensive Division, containing 24,000 infantry units, 50 tanks, 200 snipers, 100 special mission units, and 700 Army Leaders.
On July 31, 2004, at 2200, the 17th, 18th, and 20th Airborne landed upon the Southeastern beaches with no problems. That is, until, they met up with Brazilian infantry.
The Airborne units estimated 2,000 enemies at the fight, and was able to hold their ground for about 20 minutes, when they lost about 400 men and killed 200.
The call for the Navy to land the 1st Offensive Division was sent. And 10 minutes, and an extra 200 Airborne deaths later, 25,000 men and 50 tanks were landing at the Brazilian beach by means of Naval transports. Just in time before the Airborne lost the beach.
The Brazilian forces retreated back in order to regroup, most likely to strengthen their men as much as they can before we invade further.
The 1st Offensive Division made camp so as to supply themselves with nessecary fuel, water, and food for the march to Brasilia. Medical units began treating the wounded Airborne men and preparing to send them back to their base in Virginia.
Meanwhile, the 2nd and 3rd Offensive Divisions were called to prepare themselves to be deployed to Brazil. The two divisions containt 10,000 men each, and 30 tanks each. Totalling to a force nearly equal to the 1st Offensive Division.

I would be more than happy to help you in your conquest and split the land fifty/fifty afterward. I will take the northern half and you can take the southern half, after all it is a huge chunk of land. This deal would benefit you, because you would gain the major cities such as Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. I would like to remind you also that you have extensive claims elsewhere in Earth II.
The 1st Offensive Division, after being adequetly supplied with food, water, ammo, and rest, take off to venture deeper into Brazil. But not too far as they were given orders to wait for the 2nd and 3rd Offensive Divisions to get deeper into Brazilian territory.
Meanwhile, the 2nd and 3rd Offensive Divisions left Virginia Naval Port for a 3 day trip to Northern Brazil to keep the peace following the conquering of Brazil and to prevent reinforcements from meeting up with the 1st Offensive Division.

And, I hardley have any land in comparison to many others. Just a few Latin American nations, two states, and Colombia. Nothing compared to others.

In the Middle of the Brazilian Amazon
Paolo was on Observation duty. That baisically meant that he and one other guy had to look for Enemy soldiers. He got to look in the Observation post above the Canopy, to look for tanks and such. The other guy got Infantry spoting Duty. They were garding a camp of around 200 Brazilian Soldiers, armed with imported weaponshey were deadly accurate, but in the rainforest they could be heard for a mile. Thats why they were odered only to fire when only a few enemies were int eh area, or they risked getting shot. unfortunatly for Paolo, a large contingent of Colodia Paratroopers, maybe 400 of them, were just about to attack their posistion.
"Hey, see anything?" he said to the other observer. "Not yet, but i though i saw a " Ziipt! A bullet whizzed through his heart, and he tumbled 40 fee to the ground. "Sweet lord!", he cried, as he started sounding the Alarm "we're under attack! WE're under attack!" Unfortunatly, those wre the last words Paolo ever said. Once he finishd, a well aimed rocket blew him to kingdom COme.

The fifth fleet of the Navy of the Hibernian Trinity hovered above the waves just off the coast of Rio de Janeiro. The third fleet was several miles south of them, off the coast of Santos. They had been in position for nearly twenty minutes before the bay doors opened and dropships opened, filled with marines. The ships flew low over the waves, landing on the beautiful beaches of the magnificent city. The Catholic insignia on the ships and the troops were clearly visible, in an attempt to deter the mostly Catholic populus of the country. The ships unloaded their payloads of marines or vehicles. Several tanks and many Puma-class ATV's were dropped off for use by the troops. As the marines quickly formed ranks the vehicles rolled across the sand and onto the streets of the city. The marines followed closely behind.
From a beachside highrise Brazilian insurgents fired their weapons at the troops. A precise artillery round from the Steerpike destroyer, quelled any resistance from the building.
The troops moved quickly through the streets. The tanks pushed aside abandoned cars, left in fear of the invaders. The populus watched them from their homes, children stared wide-eyed clutching at their mother's skirts.
As one column rounded a corner a rocket-propelled grenade was launched at a tank, ripping through it's treads and forcing it to come to a grinding halt. The insurgents had set up a barricade of overturned cars, and they quickly opened fire on the troops. The tank swivelled its gun and launched a round into the center of the wall, bodies and carparts flew into the air. The forces behind the forerunning tank moved around it and through the hole, finishing off the last of the defenders.
OOC: Colodia, I've attached the map. I hope it's acceptable.
OOC: That's looking good. Just remember, I'll be headed to claim Equador after this.
IC:
The 2nd and 3rd Offensive Divisions make a hostile landing as they met up with Brazilian forces and a mix of anti-Colodian men and children hiding behind cars, trees, and buildings. But the 2nd and 3rd Offensive were trained for this, and held the beach until the tanks were deployed.
5 tanks got closer to the enemies, of about 300 men and children, and fired a round upon the ground they were on, just to scare them away. It succeded somewhat, and many children fled, which is what the Colodian Offensive Divisions wanted before killing the adults.
The tanks then used their gun turrets to fire upon the remaining enemies. It seemed that these men weren't ready to combat a tank.
Meanwhile, the 1st Offensive Division arrived at the gates of a small village of San Suave. (OOC: Lack of a better name...) The village of San Suave is 40 miles from the beach, and within the 50 mile limit the 1st Offensive Division was to wait until the 2nd and 3rd Divisions shoot and kill their way further into Brazil.
But San Suave, despite being a small village, had some stubborn civilian fighters. About 50, nothing much, but still a problem considering they barrackeded (sp....man that was a sad attempt) the whole city.
A tank mosied on it's way to shoot down a hole in the wall of the village, where 3 men were waiting for Colodians to come. That mere "hole" then became a gap in the wall. And the tank's gun turret took care of any extra fighters that came in to reinforce the gap.
Then about 200 Colodian infantry were sent in to take over the village. That gap in the wall then became a dozen Colodians getting into the village and shooting the fighters that they meet.
Then the tank decided that it wanted a part of the action too, and banged the huge entrance door to the village until it came crashing down upon the tank's...wheel thingies.
The village lost all hope when that door fell. Despite 2 Colodian deaths from the battle-for-the-village, the village fell to Colodia. And became a new rest stop for infantry.
---
The Colodian Special Forces, with 50 strong men, just arrived at the edge of a camp that was labeled "Colodian Interest" on the map back at their secret basecamp. They paratrooped here ahead of the Airborne at the Colodian Beach Invasion. And they've travelled all this way into enemy territory, under camoflauge and travelling by night all this time...for this one target. If they don't succeed with destroying these weapons, then too many Colodians will die. Colodians that could've taken over Brasilia.
But they were too slow in killing the observers, and the alarm was sounded.
"God dammit...what took ya Jerry?" The leader of the group, Lt. Plisken asked.
"Not my fault! He was moving too fast because George over there didn't want to wait for me to shoot at the same time as him!"
"Whatever, forget it. This isn't our job to argue, nor is it the time...ambush the Brazilians as they come out of their petty little camp to see who's attacking them.
And then they used their (OOC: uber 1337 omigod WTF...erm, sorry) skills in camoflauge to hind under the lush vegetation to get a good shot of Brazilians that come out of their camp, and to stay hidden in the mean time.
We condemn this act of imperialism. The Brazilians have a right to govern themselves. It should not be infringed upon.

It was around 2200 hours. Most of the guards were asleep, and the ones that were on duty looked as if they were on the brink of visiting Dreamland. This meant that they couldnt see the three shady walking in the shadows. Even a fully awake person would have problems seeing them. As the snuck past the guards, one of the alked up and slit their throats. The other two went to important targets. One of them went to the ammo Cache, the other went to were the vehicels were, sliting the guards' throats whiel they entered each area. The other one went to the power generator. After they had all planted their bombs, they ran like widmen. In 30 seconds that entire are would be a giant fireball. Unfortuantly for them, the guards that hadnt been killed saw them run, and shot them in the back with SMG's. That aroused the entire Depot. As the 30 or so men awoke, to their horror, to see the corpses of the guards, they realised what had happend. Unfortunatly, they were too late, the bombs exploded.

Attacks like this are occuring everywhere behind the advances of the two armies. While they do cause some damage to their soldiers and resupplyment, and cost the two gfovernments millions, and maybe even a billion dollars, they are more successful in creating fear. Some soldiers dont sleep at all during the night, too afraid of bombers. This makes them weak duing the day. Which leads to a weaker army.

What have past leaders that vowed bringing glory to Colodia give us? NOTHING!
They call us imperialists. They can call us whatever they like. It merely steers them away from the truth. We're peace-bringers. Ask any new nation that had come to Colodia if they are better off, they'll immediatly answer 'yes.' I ask you, is that the work of an imperialist nation?
Colodia...the war ahead is unlike previous wars we've fought. We're facing an enemy that establishes guerlla tactics and are using children to fight their war. Can we let a nation so cruel stand without our guidance to set them to the path of right? I SAY NAY!"
---
The Army Commander, aware of the bombings following the advancement of the three Offensive Divisions and the waryness of his soldiers, decided that this was the time to put all those movies he watched as a teen to good use. "Enemy at the Gates" would be a good reference, he thought.
In Enemy of the Gates, the Russian soldiers at Stalingrad were thining in numbers and were losing hopes of gaining back the city from the Nazis. However, one sniper was used to be a role model for all of the fighting soldiers. That sniper, the best in Stalingrad, shot around 10 high-priority German targets each day. You can imagine what kind of hope that gave Russians, who were pissing in their boots from fear. And it gave the Germans the fear the Russians previously had.
So, if the Army Commander could make a few role-models, pilots, sailors, soliders, any one will do....and get their name all throughout the fighting Colodian forces in Brazil...then maybe his Army will stand tall again and have the enthusiasm needed to win this war.
---
So, the Colodians soliders in Brazil listened to the newly established Colodian Military Radio in Eastern Brazil. It told them of a team of Colodian soliders, who single-handedly killed 100 Brazilians in the most glorious retreat ever. The story went, that a group of Colodian soldiers were sent in to snipe an important Brazilian Anti-Colodian Division Leader. But were soon found out by a Brazilian boy who happened to see them and reported them to the local Brazilian forces, about 100 of them. Well, what can you do but retreat?
So they retreated, but one man got shot in the leg. The team couldn't let this man get captured by the enemy, who knows what they'll do? So they fortified the area they were stuck at with a log and 6 machine guns. The oncoming Brazilians, still thinking the Colodians were running at a fast-pace, were running too fast to notice the fortress until the last minute. Sure, some Brazilians survived the first onslaught of bullets raining upon them, but they soon died after about 20 grenades.

The Brazilian Government has officially surrenered to the Invading forces.
