Occ- We don't allow women in sports, unless the reason they're holding the sports is for the "Fabus Junge" girls branch. So we won't be sending any women to the olympics.

Also note, we'll only be participating if you agree to our terms. If the Premier is present either to watch the games or to participate in them, his bodyguard division will accompany him. If he isn't present, then only 1 company of RG will be present to provide security for the other high officials that are seeking to compete.

Division of Special Republican Guard. Known as the “Curtis Fabus” Division. Drawn from those from the same hometown as Curtis Fabus. (18,000 Special Republican Guard Panzer Grenadiers, 1,000 T-98M Tanks, 2,250 BMP-3EA (Extra Armor)s, 400 G-6 155mm SPA, 300 SA-19 Mobile SAM, and assorted reconnaissance and light vehicles.) The entire Division is comprised of soldiers from the county the Premier is from (Neshoba County), they are tasked with guarding the Premier and the regime against any and all threats. The best Division in the Republican Guard, however they are geared mostly towards Internal Security such as guarding against coups, preventing army mutinies, and etc.


Boxing- Paul Stahlecker (Yes I know, he is the Foreign Minister)

5,000 meters (men) Premier Curtis Fabus (If his health improves, he has the CM record for running a mile in I think it was 2 minutes 23 seconds, he set the record in high school. He is still one of the swiftest runners in Mississippi)

400 meters (men), Colonel Herman von Thaller (assuming the guerillas release him)

About the men being sent.

General Fritz Witt (22) The Commander of the 30th RG Division “Fabus Junge”. Born in 1982 in Innsbruck, Austria.

Colonel Herman Von Thaller (35) The most well known and the greatest fighter ace in CM. Has 394 aerial kills to his credit and 618 kills if you include aircraft he’s destroyed that were on the ground (224). He is a dashing, daring, adventurous, and handsome “Fly boy”. He has taken part in the war in Egypt, Libya, and he flew aerial cover for the C-130s in the UWA operation. He also is the one who usually commands the squadron defending the Premier's private jet. His nickname is “Hans” (Nobody really remembers how he got his nickname, but he is friends with Hans Kaltenbrunner, and people always got them mixed up, so now people just call both of them Hans because it is easier) In one battle Thaller shot down 8 MiG-29s, 8 Mirage F1s, 4 F-16s, 4 F-14s and 112 MiG-21s. He is always in his custom F-16D that is painted to look like a threatening shark. His usual armament is 1000 rounds for the 20mm cannon, and 12 or 24 AIM-120 AA missiles.

Field Marshal Francisco "Chemical” Salazar (42) Commander of the 3rd Republican Guard Division “The Crusader’s Sword” Division. Born in 1962 in Portuguese controlled Angola, his family fled to Mississippi in 1975 when Portuguese rule ended in Angola. Portuguese. He got his nickname because over the years he has ordered or authorized virtually every major chemical weapons attack against guerillas, tribals, population centers of “undesirables”, etc. Ranked as the 2nd handsomest public figure in CM. CEO of Salazar Imperial Tobacco Inc. Duke of Jackson City. Married to a wife with a drinking problem, who likes to throw things at him. And he has a large number of children.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Paul Stahlecker (40) He is the minister of Foreign Affairs for CM. Very intelligent (IQ of 163). He stands out because he is 6’4 and is very imposing. Although the average male height in CM is 5’11. Rumor has it that when Eleanor Fabus was 19 and Stahlecker was 38, that the two had an affair, it is unclear if this actually occurred and if they are still seeing each other. He helps see to it that friendly foreign nations that need military and economy assistance get it. He also helps see to it that white guerilla armies are in communication with CM military forces. Very renowned for his racially offense remarks that he doesn't hesitate to make on live international TV and radio.

Premier Curtis Fabus (43) Head of state and government for Communist Mississippi. Also, he is the leader of the Revolutionary Right Party. American descended from English. Ranked as the 3rd handsomest public figure in CM. Richest man in CM due to that fact he takes 1% of all national taxes for himself, and he owns many companies. Spiritual leader of White Knights of Mississippi. CEO of Fabus Premium Tobacco Inc. Fabus Munitions Inc.

Seryown sends only those who it thinks have a strong chance of winning a medal.

-Susan Zuhac, happily engaged to Zack Dismon, hopes to win a silver medal at this year's Olympics after abandoning almost every other race over the last three years to prepare for this one, but understands that even her chances of getting a bronze medal are less than fifty-fifty. In any case, she intends to continue for many years to come. Her strongest event is the 5000, but she competes in the 800 meters as well.
-Zack Dismon is returning from a debilitating injury last year, before which he was considered a strong competitor for the Gold. He still has hopes of winning that medal in the 800 meters, where his lingering breathing problems won't come into as much play.
-Will Kan, a short distance runner for Seryown, expects a medal in one of his two longer races, but he considers the 100 meters to be mainly a warmup for the longer races.
-Edward Sammond is the true star of the Seryown team. His boxing style reminds most people of Muhammud Ali, with light feet carrying him far more than toughness. Amazing balance keeps him on his feet and surprising strength in his punches usually put his opponents on the ground in the first few rounds. He's a strong favorite for the gold medal despite relative inexperience.

OOC: CM, I've been reading a lot of your posts - you make a lot of them - and I think maybe you should try being willing to lose once in a while.

Err... a couple things, if you missed it - all of my competitors are medal hopefuls in the 800 men, 5000 women, 400 men, 200 men, and boxing - Seryown only sends the best of the best to the Olympics, only those who they thing have a good chance of winning medals. Especially Sammond, who is definitely the strongest member of the team.

The other thing is that the nation is called Seryown, not Seyown.

Will Kan of Seryown got off to a flying start, followed closely by Logissen of Halibris. But Kan slackened off at around 50 metres and Logissen and Mamel of Ersilia came through. Gonzalez of Camewot followed closely behind, and then Spiros Louis of Nazi Weaponized Virus. Coming in to the final quarter it was Logissen followed by Mamle and then Gonzalez. The Women's race was dominated by Paula Kobaki of Camewot, who finished well ahead of Acaleria and Smith to go into the final looking very good. Padgett also looked good with a late surge, but her poor start ruined her performance.

That the Choson People's Republic did not send any athletes to Athens is hardly surprising, as the nation has never once taken part in an international sporting bonanza of the sort. However, under Hotan's Kurosite Progress it had been hoped that the Republic may assemble a small team, focusing on gymnastic events. That it did not happen has been blamed by sources in DaKhiem upon the cultural bias of the supposedly inclusive spectacle, which appears to favour nations where a larger body type is prominent. There are few hammer-throwers, sprinters, or jumpers from a republic where the average man is barely five and a half foot tall, and weighs likely less than ten stone, and the women are significantly smaller again.

Triancia will send an equistarian team, and a Shooting team. It was debated that they should send men to other sports, as well, but it was decided that Triancia still needs work in most other areas. A full fledged team should be ready for the 2008 Olympics.

Enripta hopes that an IOC-like organization could be formed for the next olympics.

'cause I doubt that there is anyone in my nation who could meet that requiorment; over 90% ain't hunam and genetic or cybernetic modification is quite common. They're mainly health or quality-of-life related alternations, but it could constiture an unfair advantage.
