The EIK Newsworld anchor appears on the screen behind her desk in the news studio, her hair black tightly pulled back, her dark blue suit and white pressed dress shirt in impeccable order.

"This is Saskaio Ensaa and you are watching EIK Newsworld, live from Ehranasyla. The time is Eighteen Hundred. Here are the headlines."

She stops for a moment, as the teleprompter changes and new information comes up on the laptop before her.

She clears her throat. "I beg your pardon. We are recieving news of a breaking story from the Arayu district of the capital. An EMR train enroute to Central Station from Altasyla has apparently derailed and crashed into the support pillar of an overpass in the densely-populated area.

"We have no exact numbers on casualties, but based upon admittances to emergency rooms, there are 120 fatalities and 200 wounded at this time. Again, the train was an EMR Express Bullet Train - we are now being told train 27 - enroute from Altasyla to Ehranasyla. The train was travelling at a rate of speed of 300 kilometres per hour at the time of the derailment, according to an EMR spokesperson. Of course, the Bullet Train service was just inaugurated one week ago to much fanfare.

"A camera crew, I have been told is enroute to the crash site now.

"Now, I am being told that the Emergency Telephone Service is requesting that you do not used 098* to request information about victims. That is for emergencies only. They recommend that you inquire directly with hospitals. We will put up the hotlines in the next few moments.

"That's all the information we have at this time. Please stay with us as more developments become available. The time is now Eighteen Oh Two."

After a thorough investigation of the train, its data recorder, the tracks, and an innumerable number of factors, it has been determined that the train itself was in sound working order. Evidence found at the crash site points to sabotage.

We have reason to classify this as an act of terrorism and a full investigation is being launched. As of yet, no individual or organisation has claimed responsibility for this, but we would like the responsible party to know that we shall find them and prosecute them to the fullest extent of our laws.
