Enriched Uranium:

Uranium metal is very dense and heavy. Depleted uranium is used by some militaries as shielding to protect tanks, and also in parts of bullets and missiles, as it is extremely dense. The military also uses enriched uranium (more than natural levels of U-235) to power nuclear propelled navy ships and submarines, and in nuclear weapons. Fuel used for United States Navy reactors is typically highly enriched in U-235 (the exact values are classified information). In nuclear weapons uranium is also highly enriched, usually over 90% (again, the exact values are classified information).

Plutonium:

Plutonium is a key fissile component in modern nuclear weapons, due to its ease of fissioning and availability. The critical mass for an unreflected sphere of plutonium is 16 kg, but through the use of a neutron reflecting tamper the pit of plutonium in a fission bomb is reduced to 10 kg, which is a sphere with a diameter of 10 cm. Complete detonation of plutonium will produce an explosion of 20 kiloton per kilogram.

Plutonium could also be used to manufacture radiological weapons or as a (not particularly deadly) poison. The plutonium isotope 238Pu is an alpha emitter with a half life of 87 years. These characteristics make it well suited for electrical power generation for devices which must function without direct maintenance for timescales approximating a human life time. It is therefore used in RTGs such as those powering the Galileo and Cassini space probes; earlier versions of the same technology powered seismic experiments on the Apollo Moon missions.

Caesium:

Caesium is most notably used in atomic clocks, which are accurate to 5 seconds in 300 years. More recently this material has been used in Ion Propulsion system - The next Generation of Propulsion.

Its effects when coupled with an explosive device are unknown, but as it is a highly radioactive substance it is very difficult to produce in large quantities as it simply explodes when in contact with the air. However we have been able to produce relatively large quantities by using Electromagnets to keep the radiation at bay.

Radioactive element belongs to group 1 of the periodic table. Found in uranium and thorium ores. The 22 known isotopes are all radioactive with the most stable being Fr-223. Its existence was confirmed in 1939 by Marguerite Perey.

Centrifuge:

Atomic Bomb:

Fission bombs derive their power from nuclear fission, where heavy nuclei (uranium or plutonium) split into lighter elements when bombarded by neutrons (producing more neutrons which bombard other nuclei, triggering a chain reaction). These are historically called atom bombs or A-bombs, though this name is not precise due to the fact that chemical reactions release energy from atomic bonds and fusion is no less atomic than fission. Despite this possible confusion, the term atom bomb has still been generally accepted to refer specifically to nuclear weapons, and most commonly to pure fission devices.

MGM-134A Midgetman:

The Scowcroft Commission recommended the development of a new, lightweight missile carrying only one reentry vehicle. President Reagan authorized full-scale development of the Small ICBM (SICBM) in December 1986. SICBMs would be housed in mobile launchers based at widespread locations. When hostilities threatened, the launchers would drive out onto the roadways and scatter across the country. The program narrowly escaped termination in 1988 because of reduced funding. It achieved its first totally successful flight test on 18 April 1991, when a SICBM that had been cold-launched from a canister at Vandenberg AFB reached its target in the Kwajalein Test Range.

Davy Crockett Recoiless Rifle (Nuclear Delivery System):

The Davy Crockett was a tactical nuclear weapon that was deployed by the United States in West Germany from 1961-1971, during the Cold War. The smallest missile-launched nuclear weapon ever built, the Davy Crockett carried a variant of the W-54 fission warhead with a variable yield of 10-250 tons. Q Fever:

Human infection of Q Fever is usually be inhalation or ingestion of aerosol particles or by tick bite. However recent developments have turned it into a strain of Biological Weaponry. Humans are highly susceptible to the disease, but over half of infections are asymptomatic and it is rarely transmitted by person to person contact. When the organism does cause clinical symptoms, after a incubation period of 10 to 40 days it is marked by high fever, severe headache, myalgia, confusion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, generalized chest pains, and weight loss. Sarin or GB (O-Isopropyl methylphosphonofluoridate) is a nerve agent accidentally discovered by German scientists in 1938 while researching organophosphate pesticides. The name is an acronym of the discoverers. Sarin was produced by Nazi Germany during World War II but was never used.

Mustard gas is a chemical compound that was used as a chemical weapon in World War I. In pure form, it is a colourless, odourless, viscous liquid at room temperature and causes blistering of the skin. The name comes from impure mustard gas, which has an odour resembling mustard, garlic or horseradish. Other names include yperite, sulphur mustard, and Kampfstoff LOST or LOST gas.
