The New Renaissance of Dyelli Beybi

Dyelli Beybi

(OOC: For those of you who think I'm moving a bit too fast, I'm using NS fluid time at it's best to drag Dyelli Beybi kicking and screaming into the god-knows-what-but-it's-a-long-way-off century. I'm trying to do it gradually but at a pace which doesn't make me incredibly bored.)

Things were moving rapidly in Dyelli Beybi as the country was basically transformed overnight. Less than a year ago it had been a somewhat backward late 20th century Nation, now it was rapidly developing into something of far greater threat to the International Community.

While Dyelli Beybi had always been belligerent, and had been run by a string of homocidal maniacs, it had now aquired itself the weapons and defences to do some real damage.

At the heart of all the change were two gigantic AIs, purchased from Five Civilized Nations one of which was now co-ordinating the efforts of the secret police, while the other was tirelessly working with the engineers and scientists to develop fresh ideas from what they had purchased, as well as to upgrade Dyellian facilities to the point where they could produce the new technologies themselves.

While progress had been bumpy, it had come. There were now three shuttles moving technicians and dignitaries to the new space docks that had been purchased off of Al-Imvadjah, although they were still far from producing anything worthwhile.

On the ground, the AIs had provided an explosion of new electronic goods, with these flooding into the hands of the military and private citizens. There were new farming techniques, advances in robotics and mining and everything else under the sun.

Old military theories were also given a new lease of life. Captured vehicles from the war with Fasta Benj were studied, and whole new generations of cannon and armour had sprung into existence. These were being rapidly fitted to the ships and vehicles of the armed forces......

-----------------------------------------------

But all of this had a darker side, the Kriegsmarine were becoming cockier. Southern Klatch had always been a haven of Piracy, but now the State was doing more than turning a blind eye, it was actively supporting it, and now space was open to the Dyelli Beybians. A whole new frontier of rape, pillage and murder.

The High Chancellor of Dyelli Beybi stood on one of the viewing platforms for the docks. He was a big bull of a man. He had once fought against Dyelli Beybi, but had since risen to be it's ruler. He had been the first ruler in over 100 years of history not to have come to power in a bloodbath, and now as he stared out into space, he could imagine the possibilities...

"It's a brave new world out there Sir." it was the voice of Felix Dzerzhinsky. The head of the Cheka, and just about a permanent member of Eamon Collins, The High Chancellor's enterage.

"Oh yes." Collins gave a wide grin, "Full to the brim with money, power and glory. Just waiting for a people with the will to grasp it."

Good to hear my ally is becoming so evolved. North Germania would be very interested in acquiring information on some of your new found knowledge. Any price could be matched.

Dyelli Beybi is willing to open up it's research banks in an open co-operation plan with North Germania, provided of course they are willing to do the same.

OOC: Basically what Dyelli Beybi has built/bought/stolen are:
1)plasma propelled weaponry, ie extreme high velocity. It means their shells have longer ranges and kinetic rounds deal more damage.
2)New alloys and matrices for armour designed to make it harder and also to give a greater degree of heat conductance across the surface (ie make it harder to melt with an energy beam).
3)Basic powered armour, giving their troops better protection against most weapons as well as allowing them to carry more kit, while not restricting movement or making them stick out like a sore thumb.
4)Better electronics all round, especially in regards to automated machinery in the civilian sectors and better military computers and other electrical devices.
5)Improved robotics for the mining and manufacturing sectors.
6)Improved petrol driven engines for greater fuel efficiency.
7)Economical and safe shuttles to transport people to the new docks.

They are still having trouble with,
1)Supercavitating submarines
2)Building things in orbit
