We, the government of Nicaragua have decided to spend $1.1 billion military and $3.2 billion law enforcement, as well a $5 bilion donation to start a research program to breed a laboratory experiment. These will be used for law enforcement, as well as military, and will replace all soldiers and many policemen in the country. We will be working to produce 4 larvae which will reproduce asexually at a rate of 3 larvae per each existing larvae. They will spend 1 hour growing, 2 hours reproducing, and 22 hours fighting as soldiers, in which after they will die in either a peaceful death or a self-destruction. These creatures have roughly half the strength of a fully armed soldier, have a fast, close range attack, and can release a kamikaze egg at a range of 2000 feet to battle air (10 eggs) , cause damage to a large area (1 egg can kill 2 soldiers/melee), or quickly destroy tanks (5 eggs) and heavy units (4 eggs) in exchange for its life.

This is the initial research, the second stage will include an ability for them to burrow to lie in wait for enemy units and offer some protection from bombs, as well as splitting them into sub-races with different specialties

If the present-day riboswitches are of origin, then eukaryotes might possess RNA genetic switches that are descendent from the last common ancestor of modern cells. I see, we thank you. We shall respect your copyright laws and refrain from copying your genome troopers, but this will not stop us from modifying upon this orginal blueprint to creat our own, unique version. To Nukaragua, we have a question for you, what exactly do these things eat, and what mainetance is required to keep them fighting.

i have to say 22 hrs of combat usefullness is not very good. my genomes have a combat time of well till they die.

I think the 22 hours should be modified, but until then, perhaps it is best to bring plenty of the New Race's eggs into the warzone and let them pupate there.

i would like to see these things attack a fully armed, and equited genome soldier with a titianium infused skeleton(not that has anything to do with this. but just for kicks)

1 lbs of titianiums volume is triple that of the volume of 1 lbs of steel

OOC: Note that within a single day, 1 drone will become 531441, not including the ones that haven't died off yet (and only the first would have died by then). Furthermore, that kamikaze egg is deadly. I thought it was really cheap. I believe that the project might take a few NS years, so, say, 10 days (yay, NationStates!).
