How the Tahar Joblissan Government is Set Up:

The basic thing to remember when looking at Tahar Joblis is that things are organized logically... for Tahar Joblissans in a historical perspective, which means it makes very little sense to many outsiders. You are probably one of those outsiders who completely lacks any comprehension whatsoever, at least ICly. The fact that everything is officially budgeted in how many people and how long by project makes it no easier to account for it. Of course, the department of Finance re-releases [totally useless] budget figures in emuris weekly based on the current valuations of commodities, labor, and emuris in relation to one another, which are generally purely arbitrary. Obviously, I've skimped on detail here, but to put it very basically:

Ranks in Tahar Joblissan Military Command Structures:
A similar note of particular subdivision of the above with respect to military structure.

More often than not, the short title is used except in formal occasions. There is no particular division in the Tahar Joblissan armed forces between commissioned and noncommissioned personnel; there is a grade/seniority determinant within rank for unexpected chain of command issues. Recruits/trainees are not assigned a rank until completing training. The ranking system may seem extensive, but with only 17 distinguishable rank tiers in 10 general rank slots , it is actually more compact than many other ranking systems, and applies across all arms of the Tahar Joblissan military.

Positional Titles:
These titles are assigned independent of rank and based on immediate command structure position:
Captain refers to the commander of a naval vessel, regardless of size. It is no longer an actual rank, however.
Force Leader refers to the operational commander of a ground force.
Squadron Leader refers to the commander of an aerial squadron.
Wing Commander refers to the officer in charge of an entire operational unit of aircraft, mixed or homogenous, regardless of size.
