Occ- UWA, this ties in with the Firebase Fabus RP so I assumed you'd want in and would be involved as the terrorists would likely threaten you. But if you don't want in, just ignore this and accept my apologies. I should await your response, but I'm getting tired and I'd like to get this up asap. But if you accept, I say great!. If not, just ignore this and it will be between DPUO and CM only. But I'd like for both UWA and DPUO to be in on this. Don't worry, no nuclear war will occur.


This thread will be for the negotiations to avert nuclear war and for the RPing of what is taking place on the submarine.

Occ- DPUO and I have already agreed how this will go, so don't worry about nuclear strikes, they won't happen. And don't worry about war, won't happen. Most that is going to happen, some conventional missiles against a few dozen terrorist training camps in Libya and Western Sahara. CM will obviously not reply to the missiles because then we'd be admitting we back terror. But this will make for a good read. Enjoy all. Thank DPUO and CM for the good reading.


(Mladic) "Satellites had detected where the helicopter went down, and scout helicopters have confirmed he is alive but they unable to land due to weather conditions and the rooftops are crawling with zombies. We are asking for any Libyan WKM or other paramilitaries, you know whom you are, to move towards the intersection of 12th Curtis Lane and 18th Fabus Road. The Premier is on the roof of the office building for Salazar Imperial Tobacco."


Natalie: "Ah well. Maybe he is a lucky man."

Dad: "Maybe, maybe not. There'll be another day, and on that day he'll die." *He shrugs*

Natalie asked her father what he thought they meant by "other militants, you know whom you are."

Dad: "Oh, that’ll be this "Christian Martyrs Brigade" or some other load of crap. Been going round claiming to safeguard the White Christians."

Natalie asked her what was up with the CMB.

(Dad) "They go around killing the "unbelievers" and "infidels", those who aren't Christians and white. Terrorists to the bone. As a matter of fact we're busy supplying somebody fighting them."

It came over the radio then "A commerical airliner from NWV was shot down a few hours ago, the Christian Martyrs Brigade has claimed responsibility. Also authorities fear they have launched an anthrax attack in New Athens. The CMB has also calimed responsibility for the earlier bombings of 3 mosques in New Athens and the embassy bombing in Tunis which both occurred yesterday."

Natalie: "I see Curtis has been busy."

(Radio) "The group is believed to be backed by the Mississippian government, although no real evidence has been yet found. It has been confirmed by a confession extracted from a captured terrorist by the NWV that the group is active in Western Sahara. They are considered most active in Libya although there is no evidence for this. The group boasts a membership of over 200,000.

(Radio) "The group appears to be very well funded, organized, and led. They have conducted simultaneous suicide bombings around the world against different targets with military style precision."

Natalie: "That's because they are ex-military. Honestly, you should see some of the stuff I saw in there. Scary."

(Radio) "The United Nations believes that the group has over 500 training camps in 8 countries. They are also believed to have a budget of over 1 billion dollars."

(Pilot) "Landing on the Ivanov commencing. We're gonna cruise home, ladies and gents."

(Radio) "Thus far over 300,000 deaths have been attributed to the group's actions."

Dad: "Typical. No honour. Scum."

(Radio) "The group has pledged and I quote, "We will martyr ourselves until Christ deems the world ready for Him to return. He will only return when the unbelievers are dead. We will destroy the unbeliever and God will once again reign supreme over the Earth. If we must all die, so be it, we do not fear death, we welcome the chance to martyr ourselves for God." This group has been classed as possibly the most dangerous in the world."

Natalie: "They been at home yet?"

Dad: "Naw. Border's closed anyway, just in case."

(Radio) "Their seemingly unlimited budget, their organization, training, and their seemingly unlimited access to modern military weapons that are very hard for non-governmental powers to acquire, and their eagerness to be martyred, make this group very dangerous. They have vowed to bring terror and destruction against NWV and DPUO interests both internationally and in the nations themselves."

Dad: *Grim laugh* "They'll have to work hard. Nats, you gotta see the town. It's like we're at war again. People going around actually appreciating the value of the place, music coming out of speakers in workplaces, BTRs and troops around. Takes me back."

(Radio) This just in, the DPUO embassies in Tunisia, Rwanda, Mali, Somalia, and Ethiopia were simultaneously destroyed by suicide truck bombers. We now go live to Tunis." (Tunis radioman) "The number of dead is currently unknown. Oh, this is just, oh the humanity. I've never seen anything like this, such brutality." (Regains his composure) "Forgive me people, It's just I've never seen such sheer disregard for human life. This is disgusting."

(Radio) "Nobody has claimed responsibility for the embassy bombings against DPUO. However the CMB spiritual leader Bishop Herman Von Felben has stated, "This is crusade, we did not do it, it was probably other angry white Christians."

Natalie: "Oh god...why?"
Dad: "Because we don't believe in God. DOn't worry, from what I hear the Air Force will shortly scare them shitless."

(Radio) "It has been confirmed, Anthrax was used to attack NWV in New Athens. Over 100,000 are feared dead already."

Natalie: "How?"

Dad: "Ways and means. I don't know how for sure...oh look, here they go again. Ah well, we'll help seal NWV's borders."

(Radio) "5 of 6 terrorists arrested in the "Church of the Faithful of Christ", a cover for the Christian Martyrs Brigade, committed suicide by taking cyanide rather than risk being interrogated."

Dad: "Oh, shame. Should have burned them."

(Pilot) "OK, we're down. Hope you enjoyed the trip folks. I'm off to the mess deck."

(Radio) "Bishop Herman Von Felben, the spiritual leader of the CMB has declared that "DPUO must suffer for their attempts to destroy White Christian Civilization" there are rumors that Bishop Felben and the CMB are being aided by the CM Gov't, the CM gov't vehemently denies all these rumors and accusations."

(Radio) "Premier Fabus has been recovered from Fabus City and he and his bodyguard Captain Arthur Nelson are both expected to make full recoveries."

Dad: (Cackles) "Let them come. We're ready. Oh yes, we're ready." *He climbs from the Hind's passenger compartment awkwardly*

(The Radio goes to Felben’s voice) "This is an interruption of the regular broadcast, we have seized the radio station, we have nuclear devices and we will not hesitate to use them unless our demands are met. Our members aboard an Ohio SSBN somewhere in the world have hijacked the submarine and we will launch unless our demands are met."

(The radioman asks) "What are your demands? Who will you launch at?"

(Felben) "We want the immediate withdrawl of all DPUO and UWA support for the hogsweatian guerillas surrounding the 3 CM parachute Divisions in Firebase Fabus. We want them to permit the CM soldiers to leave the base in peace and return to CM. We want the immediate release of all of the over 2,000 pilots that have been shot down and captured attempting to help the base."

(Radioman) "Do you really have control of a nuclear submarine?"

(Felben) "Yes, the Mississippi Kriegs Marine MKM-25 Ohio SSBN. On routine patrols in an ocean that will remain nameless."

(Radioman) "How did you take control of the submarine?"

Dad: "Well I'll be damned. Guess we'll have to let the Navy have some fun. Rick will ejoy that."

(Felben) "20% of the ships crew were CMB, about 20% probably went along with them. The rest were probably restrained."

(Radioman) "Who will you launch them at? What will your targets be?"

(Felben) "All the major population centers of UWA and DPUO."

The radio change stations, it is Joseph Mladic, "Due to the threat that the terrorists will launch missiles, we must attempt to stop them certainly yes, but we must also be ready to stop an enemy strike against us, many nations erroneously believe we support the Christian Martyrs Brigade. If any nation fires a missile at CM, we will respond in kind." Mladic knows if the terrorists launch, CM will have to launch to try to neutralize the enemy before they can launch. He prays this is resolved.

(Mladic continued to speak) "I ask that the governments of UWA and DPUO do not act rash and that they allow us to resolve this problem in usual Mississippian fashion."

Natalie: "How the hell are you so calm?"

Dad: "What else is there to do? If they find the sub and sink her fine, and if they don't I die. I'm not a spring chicken any more Nats."

Onboard the Mississippi Kriegs Marine MKM-25 Ohio SSBN, the takover of the ship had gone over without major incident.

The captain was in his quarters and the XO was on duty at the time.

The MKM sergeant of the guard was sitting in his room that he shared with the corporal of the guards. (There are 9 marines on every submarine that has nuclear missiles)

Two privates walked to the room and said "It's time", they all cocked their pistols and moved out.


The entire marine guard was involved with the Christian Martyrs Brigade. The sgt and 3 privates went for the con, the corporal and 2 privates went for the captain in his quarters. The other 2 men went for the missile launch room. There were 42 crewmen onboard that were going to help, they had each been given a weapon of some sort of weapon that they got from the weapons officer who was also involved in the CMB. He had opened the weapons locked up and handed out 1911 .45 pistols, M-16A2s, and MP5A3s (The navy uses M-16A2s, 1911s, and MP5A3s)

The men all returned to their posts and quickly took control of all vital systems. The teams rushed to the crucial points throughout the submarine.

The captain was in his quarters and was startled when armed men burst through his door. He said, "What is the meaning of this!" They replied, "We are here to take this submarine over in the name of Christ and the those who will martyr themselves to do His deeds here on Earth. Praise the Lord!" The gunmen all replied, "Praise be to God!"

The captain was taken and along with about 12 others who were deemed most likely to cause problems, were locked in the officers mess. Two guards with MP5s were posted outside the door.

The XO, a one Donald Peterson who had joined the CMB a few weeks earlier, announced over the ship intercom, "This is XO Peterson here, I have relieved the captain of his command because God has ordered me to. All personnel are hereby to move around only in two man teams. We are going to get our soldiers out of Hogsweat alive and unharmed. We will not fail! God is great!"

The submarine was in the North Atlantic and was heading for the Sea or Murmansk. They planned to sit quietly in the waters right off of DPUO and continue to demand that DPUO and UWA use their clout with the guerillas to secure the release of all CM soldiers, particularly Colonel Herman Von Thaller, General Philippe Bon, and General Antonio Don Juan Miguel.

Prime Minister Doure made a brief statement today categorically denying the terrorists requests and repeating statements he has made throughout his career that "the Federation does not negotiate with terrorists, fascists, or oppressors of any stripe." He added that CM soldiers interred in Hogsweat would be released, as per the Geneve Convention, at the conclusion of the war or when Mississippi withdraws its combat troops, and not a day sooner.

Meanwhile, the WAN Valiant, the country's sole ASW destroyer (a Sovremmeny of the export variety) was searching the waters around the UWA night and day for sight of the hijacked submarine. It was joined by dozens of small patrol and torpedo boats canvassing the seas near Sao Tome and Principe and the deeper waters off the coast.

Guards at the embassy district in Freetown have been doubled, and road checkpoints have been established in the major cities. Gendarmie's of the national and local governments have been canvasing the country for citizens of Mississippian descent, who aren't allowed on Federation soil anyway.

Occ- Note this is all happening about 3 weeks before Firebase Fabus falls. Victoria is about to taken but most can see the battle is already lost. They are currently demanding all the soliders be allowed to leave the base unharmed. They also want the pilots released that were captured.


Occ- We'll advance in time rapidly so we can get to after the base falls and how it relates to this RP. These jumping back and forth in timelines and events happening here and there, it's all very confusing, yes?

3 weeks had passed and finally Firebase Fabus fell and with it fell the myth of Mississippian invincibility. Enemies in the 3rd world had always hesitated to battle the Mississippians, because the Mississippians had cultivated the idea that they were invincible and could not be stopped. That idea was now most likely forever smashed. It was as smashed as were the guns that Colonel Pacelli had assured would silence any enemy guns, it was as smashed as the hill forts that General Miguel had assured General Bon that they would hold out.

The DPUO and UWA naval forces had made no progress in tracking the submarine.


The Christian Martyrs Brigade had been stepping up attacks against all sorts of targets; mostly against people they called “white race traitors”.


Bishop Felben had been arrested by the CM government for his little escapade into the radio station when he took it over to announce his group’s demands. But somehow he managed to escape when the squad car taking him on a rural road was stopped by a band of well-armed men. Neither of the two sheriffs deputies was harmed. Sheriff of the rural county was asked why only 1 squad car had been assigned to handle such an important job as taking a high-risk prisoner to prison. The Sheriff replied, “A lot of deputies were at the beach or out camping with their families, it was a 3 day weekend you know.”


The demands had now changed, no longer could the defenders simply be allowed to walkout of the base. There was no base and there were no defenders. Now they were POWs, and the Christian Martyrs Brigade demanded that they all be released immediately. The CMB caught word that over 5,000 had been massacred right after the battle and that of the 29,000 men marched over 100 miles to the wretchedly inadequate camps, only 20,000 made it there alive. They were enraged and furious. They threatened to launch immediate strikes against their stated targets unless the POWs, including the officers and the captured pilots, and the nurses, doctors, and other staff, were all released and preparations made to get them back to CM within 36 hours.

The clock was ticking. 36 hours to release 20,000 soldiers, 2,000 pilots, and 400 doctors, nurses, orderlies, and other some civilian contractors. There was also the question of the 200 PMC (Private Military Corporation) operators that had been contracted to help on the engineering work of the base when the parachute units first jumped in. There were 149 of them still alive and they were also being held. The CMB demanded that they too be released.

The CMB also demanded the return of all the remains of the CM soldiers, be they intact bodies or pieces of bodies. In the words of Bishop Felben, who spoke shortly after he made his escape from police custody, “All CM soldiers must be buried on CM soil, not the soil of the unbeliever”

Occ- Just because they want CM soldiers released and sent back to CM doesn't mean they are a CM group. There have been instances of north african arabs or middle eastern arabs taking hostages to help arabs in another area. A crusade or jihad knows no boundaries.

More than 200 nuclear submarines headed out to see, some moving at flank speed, some barely crawling along. Tu-142Ms began patrolling incessantly every nearby ocean, saturating the area with sonobuoys. Surface ships stormed out to sea after them, lashing the waves with active sonar, their helicopters checking any and every contact. And off the coast, more than 300 corvettes, destroyers and diesel subs were each searching for their target. They would find it. Several times submarines reported anomalous countacts, close into the shoreline. These were duly noted, and helicopters sent to check, but bad weather hampered operations. The weather, however, was clearning slowly.

A Pilatus-class diesel submarine, moving quietly at three knots, began to approach the anomalous contact, her sonars reaching out to grasp the tiny volumes of radiated sound that the Ohio could not conceal.

All ships were ordered to immediately sink the sub if it was encountered.

Meanwhile, SSBNs patrolled quietly in the deepest waters they could find, their warheads locked in on CM's population centres, military bases, ports, everything.

On the ship, the XO had ordered the submarine to dive to maximum depth and maintain full silence. They were going to wait the 28 hours until the 36 hour deadline expired, they would then rise to communications depth and ascertain if their demands had been met. If not, they would rise to launch depth.


CM secret reply to DPUO:

From Acting Premier: Joseph Mladic, "We are not now nor have we ever been in league with terror groups, we are fully against terrorism. We think however that it would be for the best if we first attempted negotiations. We'll attempt to extend the deadline so you can have more time to meet their demands and get the POWs from whatever nation they want released, released. I don't even know what their demands are or who they might be working for. Rest assured we are sending every available ship to search for them. Note that most of our ships are on routine patrols and will be redirected to search for them."


DPUO- (In a hypnotic voice) "Go to MSN"


Occ- Note, CM has approximately 5 billion gallons of nerve agents, 1 billion gallons of blister agents, and 2 billion gallons of biological agents. Most of the acquisitions were made on the authority of a one Field Marshal Francisco Salazar.

OOC: Not much good to you when I can turn you into a glass crater. And besides, who says I ain't got a big stockpile? I just haven't bothered declaring it.

IC: We will not negotiate with these creatures. The vessel will be hunted and destroyed. You will aid us or face the consequences.

Bishop Felben announced that, "The infidels of DPUO and UWA have approximately 27 hours to comply with our demands and use their influence to get the brave white soldiers who fought in Hogsweat out of the brutal captivity they are surely facing."


DPUO intelligence intercepted chatter that CM nuclear forces and SDI were on full standby, and that CM naval units were scattering all throughout the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans. They were also steaming a few towards the sea of Murmansk. It appeared CM was desperately attempting to find the submarine but was also preparing for a possible DPUO strike against CM.

CM reiterated via the international news, Joseph Mladic said, "Read my lips, we do not support terror, we never have supported terror, and we never will support terror!"

We have evidence to suggest otherwise! We also have positions of several training camps in your occupied territories. If you do not support terror their presence is to say the least of note. And your SDI had better be very very capable, Fabus, if you are going to stop our entire nuclear arsenal. You will aid us in prosecuting the sub - which the Navy informs me they mave have acquired, or you will face the consequences. We will prove to you our determination within the hour.

Acting on the intelligence they had, a squadron of Tu-160s loaded with 4 AS-15 ASMs each had left their airbase in the south 6 hours before. They now approached their target, alunched their missile paylaods from a range of more than 2,000Km at treetop height, and headed for home.

Mladic- Secret message to DPUO Leader "We will attempt to talk the submarine into surrendering. Remember that it is our property and there are sailors onboard who do not support the terrorists. We will first attempt to talk them down, then perhaps we will send divers to retake the submarine. Allow us to try our methods first."

We will supply you with the location of the vessel. You have 2 hours to attempt to talk them out of launching or we will sink the ship and pay the costs of it plus compensation to the non-CMB crew.

Mladic messaged the DPUO leader, "The submarine apparently will not rise to communications depth for about 26 hours and 58 minutes, if at which time they learn their demands have not been met, they will rise to launch depth. I will attempt to send a submarine to communicate with them."



The MKM SS-302 Los Angeles Class Submarine was heading full speed for the location of the MKM SSBN-25.

Ka-27Bs from a Kiev-II danced around the location of the submarine, while beneath them the Pilatus-class K-697 waited for a firing order, her electric motors running at minimum power. All if would take was one false move by the MKM-25 for her to die.

The MKM-25 Ohio SSBN began to rise, it appeared to most watching her that she was rising to communications depth.


(Occ- She is indeed rising to communications depth)

The Pilatus readied her torpedoes, flooding tubes and opening muzzle doors. Above her, the helicopters prepared to release their torpedoes and depth charges.

The DPUO ships intercepted radio communications from the sub, they were asking, "Before we dove out of communications depth, we heard the premier was hurt bad, is he alive?"

"He will live. You will not. If you even consider opening your missile hatches, we will sink your ship."

Joseph Mladic sent a one sentence message to the submarine, "The Premier implores you to surface and end this situation peacefully."


The DPUO ships intercepted the message. The submarine began to rise, then about 20 seconds later it broke through the surface of the water. CM naval vessels were about 12 miles away and began to steam towards it to guide it back to a CM naval base in Western Sahara.

The submarined asked, "Have our demands been met?"

"Your demands have not. We will fire on your submarine if you open fire. We do not negotiate with terrorists."

The Pilatus was scarcely 1,000 metres from the Ohio now, astern of her, the torpedoes primed in their tubes.

A Ka-27 carrying a pair of 1,000 Kg bombs hovered above the submarine's missile hatches, waiting to drop its' load.

"Your demands have not. We will fire on your submarine if you open fire. We do not negotiate with terrorists."

The Pilatus was scarcely 1,000 metres from the Ohio now, astern of her, the torpedoes primed in their tubes.


The XO was talking into the radio, "Why have they not been met?"

He would cover the radio with his hand and talk to his crew, "What should we do."

The DPUO operatives listening in thought they could hear, "Lets kill them sir, destroy the infidels!" The XO replied, "No, we won't start a war."

The XO then spoke to the DPUO ships, "We want our demands met, it doesn't matter what you do to us, while your entire navy and air force were busy looking for us, the real plan was being put into action. We were just a distraction. Why do you think we surfaced so easily."

"Then in that case we have no reason to be keeping you alive." The Pilatus loosed a single torpedo at the Ohio's stern.

OOC: You'll have a very very hard job to get anything into the country, CM, unless you're gonna bore a tunnel using teaspoons.

The submarine fired counter-measures and the torpedo was destroyed. Then her missile tubes began to open. The XO said via a radio message, "Another move like that and we will fire missiles. We are going to turn this ship back over to the CM crew, we are going to close the tubes, and it will sail for the nearest CM naval base."


CM naval ships had by now arrived on scene. 12 Destroyers, 4 LA submarines, and 7 Frigates, along with 1 battleship.


They told the DPUO naval forces, "If you dare fire another torpedo at that submarine, we'll blast you out of the water. We're going to board her and remove the CMB members to the battleship to be placed in the brig."

Occ- Dangit, DPUO, get on msn fer a while.

"You have 5 minutes to remove all CMB members from that ship or the next torpedo will be a nuclear torpedo. We are not risking the destruction of our nation for the sake of you. CMB, this is your final warning. Leave the vessel now or you will be destroyed."

The battleship launched about 12 small boats and the CMB members all began to come out of the hatch and started to sit down on the deck. The XO walked out, in plain sight of everybody, he drew his pistol, and shot himself in the temple. His body fell into the Sea of Murmansk and the waves took him under.

The small boats pulled alongside the submarine and the CMB members all got into them, they were kept under the close watch of CM marine guards armed with 12 gauge shotguns or MP5A3s.


The admiral on the battleship told the DPUO, "That is every CMB from the submarine, we are leaving now."
