OOC Post: Questions about roleplaying

Anyway, I’ve got a few questions about (surprise!) roleplaying.
1. About how much can you produce in a day? Furthermore, if no one has a production right to an item, how do you get one? How much do you have to pay for raw materials?

2. How does game time sync up with real time? To what scale? Is there even one, or can I just make it up?

1.)In answer to your first question, you have to pay nothing for production rights for military stuff that exists in RL. Everyone has production rights for RL existent stuff. Generally, you will say that your nation has enough raw materials. You don't buy them, you get them from your nation. As Hack said,NS isn't an RTS. There isn't a set time build or anything. just try to be realistic or someone will call godmod.

2.) Generally, you can make yours up. Noone really minds, you can switch. In RPing, usually you use fluent time, but if your not involved in RPs I usually say 1 day = 1 year.

I hoped that helped!

1) People generally don't worry about raw materials and aren't fussy about them, rough, rough approximations are good enough. The only production you really have to worry about is military production, and that goes by year and depends on the size of your industry (factor in population and economy...)

2) It's fluid time. Usually accepted are 1 year NS = 1 week, although some people use 1 year = 1 month ... That's a rough guide for your budget calculations and production; in roleplay, time is much more fluid and depends on the roleplay...but doesn't match up to that scale.

Hey, you asked, that's something! :P

I know this question exposes me as a true "newbie", but I have seen references to RL. Is this the same as roleplaying ("RP") or does it mean something different? Thanks for helping.
