Slaves taken by Commorargh [Open RP]

Commorargh

The humans were herded into the crusier. Picked out from the nations on Terra, they would be sent to Commorargh, perhaps to "act" in the huge gladiatorial combats that graced the city every day. Perhaps for manual labour, even for twisted experients in dark dungeons. It was best not to ponder.

The slaves were dressed in rags, the best clothing they would get. Most would be adorned in loinclothes and shackles, made to walk at the very whim of their masters. This was a good catch, 600 destined for Commorargh's pleasure. 600 guards crammed them into the ship, the lack of air killing some.

The craft would not depart for another 12 hours. The Dark Eldar would ransack the shrines and wooden padogas of the village. After the spoils had been took, they would Lance the area, leaving no trace of the village, but for scorched ground. It was such, that the Dark Eldar gathered their slaves, leaving a few to lament their losses and tell the surrounding authorities-if any. The jungle would prevent anbody from finding the site for years, even decades.

So they thought...

OOC:
I need a nation to discover the site before we leave. And, if possible, take the slaves back.....

Yevgeny Haton Daspronodov, a biologist from the University of Haton flew in a rented helicopter over the wilderness. There was a small village about 3 miles away from which he occasionally based his camp for expeditions out into the jungle. "It's right over this ridge." He said, pointing to a large ridge in front of them. The helicopter increased altitude and granted a very wide view of the area. Yevgeny looked down into the clearing where the village was, and there was nothing. "What the... Holy shit!"

"What the hell is going on..." Yevgeny pulled his rifle out from behind him. He then took out his camera and took some pictures while the pilot radioed back to the university, their coordinates and what he saw.

Wao-tsung sat at his desk in the high Hoch mountains in Yoboland.
A messenger came in from the monks. He was dressed in the fine green robes of a monk and was adorned by many medals across his chest.
"aah Mr ling what can I do for you?"
"my lord, an issue of most importance has been intercepted by our under cover operatives working in and arround Commoragh."
"let me see.." Ling punched up a view screen of the horrendous acts of slavery and combat, wrecking every human rights alw imaginable. "my gosh that is bad... in Yobs name we must act! Issue an official warning to Commoragh and let us pray to Yob that those innocents can be saved and turned to see the light of Yob!"

"A clone backup wouldn't be a bad idea," Jorian Tovius said, staring past one of his military advisors and off into space. Leaning far back into his chair, he continued, "Never know when one might come in handy."

The comm came on in the room and a disembodied voice said, "Red Silk in progress. Repeat, Red Silk in progress."

Jorian's eyes popped wide open and he immediately sat back in the upright, sitting position before launching himself to his feet. With a quick look at the other man in his office, he dashed off toward the communications room. The sound of shoes slapping the hallway behind him indicated that General Korell was not far behind.

"Where is she? What's happening?" Jorian almost barked as he burst into the comms center.

"Sir!" the officer on duty snapped to attention and saluted. "The last transponder signal we received originated here in these jungles," she showed him the digital map of the village and explained in more detail where it was.

"What happened?" Jorian asked again.

"Sensor readouts of that area from that timeframe indicate a large, unidentified craft in the area. Hundreds of armed personnel exited the craft, and soon thereafter, the surrounding region was depleted of humanoid lifesigns," answered the officer.

"Sensors detecting a new signal," a technician in the room reported.

Jorian, Korell, and the other officer moved over to where the technician sat, monitoring the sensors.

Jorian looked at the console readouts. "What is it?"

"A helicopter has entered the area. The technology is far inferior to the unidentified craft that is there. They don't appear to be from the same people."

Jorian slammed his fist on the back of the technician's chair and moved briskly over to comm unit attached to the wall. Activating it, he spoke, "Tovius to Avrek."

A few heartbeats passed before the response came in: "Avrek here."

"Prepare a century. We have a Red Silk in progress. I want to know what happened to my sister and who did it. Once Jorelle is retrieved, I want the one responsible for this to be punished."

"Yes, sir."

Within minutes, the rapid response contubernal of the 15th Century, 6th Legion was in the air and screaming toward the last known location of Jorelle Tovius, sister of Jorian Tovius, at velocities that would tear unshielded aircrafts apart. The sonic dampeners nullified any sonic booms that would otherwise have occured, and the active camouflage tried to mask any visual indications of its presence in the air. Tried being the keyword, as anyone paying close enough attention to the skies would surely notice a disturbance from such a fast-moving vehicle.

By the time the rest of the 15th Century was prepped to launch from Rhinara, the rapid response team was already approaching the isolated jungles. The pilot slowed way down and entered active stealth mode.

Jorelle Tovius, known to the rest of the world only as Silk the mercenary, came to these villages to take a break from the rest of the high-tech civilizations, but the technological world was destined to follow her wherever she went. She was knocked unconscious when she resisted the Commorargh soldiers, forced into rags and crammed into a slave ship where the air was heavy with the stench of sweat.

A child next to her was crying out for his mother. She placed a palm gently against one of the boy's cheeks, wincing slightly as the action agitated the shoulder wound that one of the guards gave her when she tried to fight them. She said to young kid, "We'll find your mom in a little while. And I'll make sure these mean people won't ever do this to you again, okay?"

She was unaware of the virtually undetectable transponder implanted in her by order of her younger brother and of the fact that the calvary was on the way. But despite that, she was determined to make these people pay for what they were doing to her, to this little boy, and to all the other innocent villagers here.

The rapid response runabout glided in silently, staying some distance away from the helicopter and moving at a slow speed to minimize the distortion from the active camouflage. When no discernible danger was detected within the village, the runabout floated down for a vertical landing and eight of the ten soldiers exited the craft, garbed in all-black power suits with no identifying features. Once all eight have exited, the hatch closed and the two still in the runabout piloted it back up to check out the location of where the cruiser was detected.

All the orders were given before the eight soldiers exited the craft, and so there was nothing left to do but to execute them. Half of them dispersed to form a perimeter patrol while the other four carefully entered the village in pairs. One of these pairs approached the dead body, looking around cautiously and scanning the various spectrums on their visors to find anything that may not have been noticeable by sight alone.

"Recognize the symbol?" one asked the other of the Dark Eldar rune.

"Negative," said the other.

The first looked around. "Report," he said into the group's internal comm system.

"Patrol One, clear."

"Patrol Two, clear."

"Patrol Three, clear."

"Patrol Four, clear."

"Explorer Two, clear. Nothing but pillage and burn here."

He then contacted the runabout and asked the same of them.

The runabout crept up on where the sensors indicated the cruiser to be...

"Hold on that, Runabout," the leader said as the pilot started the response. He then faced the newcomer and kept his own huge rifle pointed away from the man. "A hostile entered the vicinity and assaulted the village," he said over the external speakers. "Judging from the lack of corpses, it would appear that the hostile took the villagers captive."

The other two soldiers in the village took cover behind some carbonized rubble and watched the newcomer from their hidden position, ready to respond with any necessary force should he too prove to be hostile.

"Patrol Two here," the internal comm started up, silent to anyone not wearing the power suit. "I have detected another lifesign among the trees. Pursuing."

"Understood," the leader replied over the internal comms, then switched back to the external speakers to continue talking with Yevgeny. But then an abrupt shout emanated from the woods, and he looked in the direction of it.

"Patrol Three here," came the internal comm again. "The target has been stunned and apprehended. She appears to be a native."

The leader sighed. Yevgeny was sure to have heard the scream as well.

"One of my men apprehended a possible native," the soldier explained to Yevgeny. "The native was likely surprised."

The two soldiers and Yevgeny made their way to the edge of the clearing, where two other soldiers stood, one of whom was holding on to the frightened villager to keep her from running away.

"We're not here to hurt you," the leader said to her in an attempt to calm her down, despite the fact that she was surrounded by four soldiers dressed in black power suits from head to toe and carrying large firearms. "Now, who did this and where did they go?"

"Stay here, okay?" Jorelle asked the crying child. She then began forcing her way through the mass of people and toward the hatch, where hopefully she could do something, anything to bring an end to this. Perhaps there were some guards down here...
