Veritasean Imperial Navy Training

Unum Veritas
29-07-2004, 17:11
The Unum Veritas' Imperial Navy will be conducting training workups in the Indian Ocean for the next few NS weeks. The exercises will be close to the location of Doujin's Conference on Naval Warfare, but will not interfere in any way except to provide extra security should it be needed. The exercises will take place off of any commercial shipping lanes to avoid unnecessary accidents. We encourage other nations to make all attempts to keep their military and civilian aircraft and ships away from the training. Involved in this excercise, named Operation Surge Forth, will be two full Armadas. The two separate groups will be involved in numerous scenarios, including a mock invasion and an at-sea conflict. The presence of both Armadas will give Unum Veritas a total of 12 aircraft carriers in the vicinity; however, this is not meant to appear as a hostile act and we would like to reiterate that we are taking every possible precaution to avoid run-ins with foreign nationals. Thank you for your understanding.

(OOC:   Unum Veritas, you do realize you're going to force other people to move ships into the area just in case right?)

That doesn't force anyone to move anything into the water.

There is a large exlusion zone being set up due to the conference, only OMP vessels will be allowed within it.

The McLeodian navy, currently unable to assist in the civil war, wonders if it would be possible to help train our crews alongside the Veritasean's, and if so, whether a group of two CPGs and a CBG would be able to join in the training exercise. If not, please respond.

1) Kamatian waters run very close to the Indian Ocean, be careful.
2) Kamatian fleets will be setting up targets for target practice that some of out newer ships will be using in order to train gun crews and optimize settings on weaponry. Our targets are blue and gold, do your best not to fire upon them.
3) We will be doing speed runs with the new Lancer Mk III battleship. It is also in blue and gold.

We do not know how far away from your training exercises we are, but do not shoot anything blue and gold, lol. Our fleet has also made an effort to schedule the training exercises there for added security of the Doujin conference.

Kamata, the Veritasean Imperial Navy will be enforcing the Eastern border of the exclusion zone in addition to performing its training. We will do our absolute best to not interfere with your ships.

McLeod03, we can't allow any foreign officers to observe this exercise or other ships to help out. It is strictly Veritasean this time; however, we would be interested in a future joint-training exercise if you'd like.

FCN: We do not mean to try to get people to move their ships as well...only to warn them of our actions.

In fact, we would highly suggest that other nations do not move their ships into the area, particularly not into the maritime exclusion zone.
