Official Statement of the Empire of the Lightning Star

The Army of the Lightning Star has invaded Mozambique. Landing at the Capital of Maputo at 5:30 A.M. local time, the soldiers have begun their invasion. The soldiers are fiercely fighting in the Streets, but obviosly they have the upper hand! The Lightning Star has lost over 200 men, but the Enemy death toll is nearly 1,000. Most of the City is untouched by the Fighting, but the Government installations are under heavy assault. We expect the city to fall by 3:00 P.M. local time, and it is 2:00 P.M. now. The Rest of the country should be weak without its rulers, but there may be an insurgency.

OOC: This is using Earth II, no one claimed it so i guess i can. Plus im not actually using Real time, so 3:00 is ina bout 3 minutes :).

The invading soldiers are

3,000 Imperial Shock Troopers.
20,000 Regular Infantrymen
5,000 Pakistani Infantry
1,000 Mozambiquen Auxilary infantry

The invading Airforce is:

50 Fighter bombers taking off from bases in Pakistan (i own it in Earth II)
200 Pakistani Fighter Escorts.

The Navy:

15 Battleships
20 cruisers
1 aircraft carriers
20 troop transports.

CM will give you friendly advice, I mean this only to help you.

1) If you make your posts look like you took the time to properly write them, people will probably agree with most of what you say.

2) If you invade a nation and annex it 2 minutes later, nobody will listen. Drag this out for a few dozen posts, make it interesting. Or perhaps you can win a quick victory but then there is a long insurgency against your occupation.

I think for somebody your size to have that many battleships and other ships, it might be bordering on being considered a godmod.

Also you don't need anywhere near 300 troop transports for the size of the force you're moving in. There are some troop ships that can hold upwards of 5,000 soldiers.

Thanks for your help, i think i did tput a little bit to many carriers, but i have recievbed like 40 billion dollars in aid from my allies :)

Oh, and i havent annexed it yet, im going to, but i havent even finished it off! ive only taken the capital!

AFter 10 hours of fierce fighting, the Capital of Maputo has fallen. Over 500 allied servicmen have lost their lives, but around 1,500 Mozambiquens have been killed. Our army is pushing forward to try and reach the Limpopo River, but on the way our forces are coming increasingly havy assault. It seems that most of the Army was outside of the Capital, and that some of the forward units have engaged our forces. our Estimate say that maybe 10,000 Mozambiquens have engaged our army. While this isnt enough to destroy our force, it might slow us down long enough for the Rest of their army to attack. the people are also fightning us, and a few have some weapons left over from their Civil War.

On one of the Imperial Armies L.A.V.'s.

Steve couldnt believe his bad luck. First he was sent to some back-water country where he was stuck in the middle of a war between slavers, then he was drafted into the army and had to fight on the Barren Wastelands of the ruins of New Sirius. Then he was sent to PAkistan to guard some airfield, and then he was put on a boat to come here. THEN, for crying out loud, he was sent into battle against some Mozamfreakis or whatever they are called. Then he was sent on some convoy to go advance to some stupid river. And the thing was, his company was at the front of the advance. At least he was spared having to fight the Mozambigiwigi army or whatever it was called. they decided to attack the middle, where it was easier to attack. Smart little buggers... "At least its night" he thought to himself. "I doubt those guys want to attack us at 11:30 at night..." Then he thought of something "Hey Captain, where are we heading?" "Well, Sergent, The regiment is going to some place called Xai-Xai, and the other 20,000 guys are gonna go spread out along the river." said the commander.
"What about the Pakistanis and the Shock troopers? Dont they have to go somewhere? "He replied.
The Pakistanis are gonna mop up after us, try and take out the remaining soldiers. The shcok Troopers are gonna stay in the capital and maybe a regiment or two will be sent south to secure the Border with South Africa."
"Ahh, ok."

The advance finally halted at 1:30 in the morning. The regiment was setting up camp near the river. "Oh god," He said to himself. "I really hope i dont get picket duty..."
"Thanks for volunteering, sergent." Said the LT. " You get to be first shift :)"
"Why me..." he said gloomily.

He was stuck with some jumpy Private. He kept talking about sports and his girl back home. He listend to it until finally he diced to tell the Private to shut up. " Thats it son," he said "If you dont shut yer pie hole im gonna through YOU in the river!" he growled. The Boy didnt say anything for a while. Around 3:00, he spotted something. "What in gods name?" He said to himself as he turned on his Nightvision and magnified it 2.5X. He couldnt believe what he saw. There were so many Soldiers and tanks he thought that the Entire country was attacking! "Son, listen to me," He said to the private " want you to go back to command and say that we got around anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 soldiers coming at us, you hear? "
"Y-yessir! Tell the Colonel sir! But what are you gonna do?"
" Im gonna go with you, idiot! But first i gotta go do something, ill catch up you with soon!"
"Ok sir, you can count on me!"

The 76th Infantry Regiment came under attack by a force of 35,000 Mozambiquien Infantry at 3:30 this morning local time. Sergent Steve Ravenhall set up a trap using his ammo that slowed down the advancing soldeirs for 20 minutes, saving the Regiment from complete annhiliation. That gave the colonel enough time to call in the Pakistani Soldiers and create a defence strong enough to defend againt the Enemy forces. Attacks like this happend all over the line, but the attack on the 76th was the worst. That nightover 7,000 Imperial forces were killed, but over 50,000 of the attackers fell attacking their posistions, and then were forced to retreat. Sgt. Ravenhall died during the battle, and for his bravery was Awarded the Imperial Honor Star and was promoted to Captain.

Ok. The CIA Factbook says that Mozambique has 2.5 milion men ready for military service, but im guessing only like 200,000 trained troops.

Ok, I'm moving into Northern Mozambique, the repeated use of colonialism has meant that I have decided to do the same but only for a temporary period of time.

Any resistance or attempt to capture Northern Mozambique by The Lightning Star will justifiably be met with full military action by our own side.

1 Armored Division and 1 Mech. Infantry Division have already landed and annexed Pemba. We are hoping to move as far south as Quelimane.

The army was just preparing to depart when they recieved orders to wait. They were going to be re-inforced by 15,000 more soldiers that afternoon, and after recieving them theyd have maybe 5,000 more troops than when they began the invasion. After they recieved the reinforcements, they army departed to controll all the land south of the Zambezi River, which includes the cities of Malverina, Inhambane, Chimoio, Biera, and Tete. The repors said that the Mozambicans could amass and army of over 2 and a half million, but only aroun 200,000 were trained. Reports also estimated that they would encounter aroudn 1.5 million soldiers on the way, including 100,000 trained ones. First they where going to take Inhambane and Malverina, then they would wait for re-inforcments before they ventured out to attack the other cities.

Um Mr Nazi Virus sir, this is a war between myslef and Mozambique, and i have this territory on the Earth II listing, so you cant take this area over. Ill let you have the teritory north of the Zambezi river, because that constitutes northern Mozambique, and i am invading the middle Mozambique. But i am afraid that eventually i will want to have my full territory as i claimed, and i do have around 7 allies with armies that are very large so engaging in a war against me wouldnt be very smart.I hope our 2 countries dont have to go to war over this.

If you wish to keep the northern lands then im sure that we can reach soem agreement over this. I warn you though, these Mozambicans are nasty litle buggers, and they'll surely slow your men down. They can send at least 1 million men against you.

Neither do I, but I also have the backing of an Alliance with 8 Member Nations - I do not want this to go to War either and I am sure that our nations can come to a collective decision.

I am willing to offer you everything South of Nampula, as my nation has already annexed that city with The 1st Mech. Infantry. We also do not have enough manpower to take everything North of the Zambezi. If we do not cooperate, this could turn into another Vietnam. So I am hoping that we will find middle ground.

My 2nd Mech Infantry, with the support of The 1st 2nd and 3rd Armored Battalions is heading West to capture Lichinga, with the support of Carrier based aircraft.

Resistance has been minimal from Mozambiqui Militiamen but we have sustained 58 Casualties.

Increased resistance around the outskirts of Lichinga has caused us to call up our 1 Light Armored Division and our 1 Infantry Division in reserve. We are landing around the already annexed port of Cidade De Nacala.

20 F/A 18 Superhornets and 20 A-6 Intruders are flying sortees against forces near Lichinga.

Secret: The Christian Martyrs Brigade will step up attacks against NWV interests both in NWV and abroad.

We thank the Lightning Star for thier cooperation and, in time we will have an economic union uniting both North and South.

Lichinga has fallen to the 1st Armored Division, 4 Infantry Regiments and 1 Mech. Infatry Division. It is currently fostering the most anti-nwv sentiment and therefore 10,000 Troops will remain in it. Villages North of Lichinga, also fostering anti-nwv sentiment are being bombed by U-6's and F35-JSF's using JDAMS and JSAMS, the orders from HQ are to simly 'raze the villages to the ground'. This operation will be completed soon.

Villages and Towns North Of Pemba are also being bombed, but in this case strategically.

We now control 79% of land North of Nampula. But resistance within small villages and Hamlets is increasing. Therefore all 10 Infantry Air Support Groups have been ordered to wipe out thier ageing T55's and other outdated armor. We expect The 2nd Mech Infatry Division to control everything North of Nampula within 2 Hours.

Casaulty figures now stand at 71.

The provinces of Northern Zambesia, Nampula and Niassa are now mostly under NWV control, again, All Carrier fleets planes are flying daily sortees to put down any remaining resistance within these areas. 40% of The region of Cabo Delgado now remains. And 3 Armored Battalions, 1 Mech Infantry Regiment and 3 Light Armored Battalions are massing for an attack on this final area along with Air Support from IASG's and The 30 F-35's on the WNN Aristotle.

After operations have finished NWV are deciding whether also to annex Malawi starting with The City of Zomba.

The 12 and 31 Pakistani infantry Regiments were approaching the city of
Malverina, supported by the 42 Imperial Armor Regiment. As the trees and grasslands went by, some of the soldiers looked at the animals out of the windows of their transports. Most of them had never left their Country, let alone visit another continent. After around 3 hours of driving, they finally reached the outskirts of th city. As the men got out of their vehicles, a lot of RPGs started falling on their transport trucks. The men hurridley jumped out and started going towards the city. Some of their very own pakistani Jets started bombing the city, and a few of them got shot down by Stinger missles but they seemed to have destroyed quite a few of the enemies soldiers. As the tanks entered the city streets, they where suddenly under a barrage of bullets. The good thing was, they werent armor piercing. The bad thing was, there were also RPG rockets firing on them. Once the infantry entered the city, ht ereal fightning began. Luckily, the batle was over in 2 hours. The Pakistanis lost 345 men, the armor divison lost 7 tanks, and the Mozambicans lost around 4,000 soldiers.

" Hi, this is Chuck McLaw here with a special war report! Our Brave army has taken the provinces of Maputo Provinca, Gaza, and Inhambane. Over 10,000 of our brave soldiers have been lost, but over 500,000 Mozambican Rebels have been killed! Seeing how they are being destroyed by Nazi Weaponized Virus soldiers and our very own men, they have seemingly retreated to the province of Tete, where they have now more than 1.5 million rebels. This mean that the conquest of the Rest of Lightning Starian Lands will be easier to conquer, but Imperial Command estimates that another 1,000-5,000 men may be lsot, and that there are maybe 200,000 rebels in the other provinces.

OOC: Im controlling the Mozambicnas right now so that this war can move along.

Bishop-General Herman Von Felben, also the spiritual leader of the Christian Martyrs Brigade, has called for 20,000 militants from the CMB and for 50,000 civilian volunteers to take part in a Crusade agains NWV aggression in Mozambique.

Celtayoshi condems the violence in this already war torn area, the nation who first claimed it has rights to rule the land, and, as a result, Celtayoshi is calling an emergancy meeting of parliament to decide wether or not to send aid to help The Lightning Star.

OOC: Jsut to let you guys know im NOT at war with NWV. We have reached a settlement with them, but we arent allies yet so i cant send troops to stop you.

I am pleased to announce that the Imperial Army of WAshibar has reached the Zambezia River. The Zambezia Province itself has also been annexed Unfortunatly, over 20,000 Imperial Soldiers have lost their lives in this war so far. And there are still more deaths to come. Around 1,000,000 of the Mozambican Rebels in the Tete Province have surrendered, but there are still many more! We plan to begin Operation: Rebel Crusher Tommorrow (game Day). We thank the International Community for its help, and we would jsut like to Re-state that NWV and our Nation are friends.

OOC: I think his territories are Nampula Province, Cabo Delgado and Niassa, since thats North of Nampula.

Inside the Tete Province of Mazimbique

As the Imperial armor divison moved towards the camp, all hell broke loose. The rebel soldiers started firing RPGs from every direction, blowing up 10% of the vehicles. As the soldiers started to dismount, they also came under fire. It seemed that the Rebels had the Division surrounded, and that the Imperial Armies only hope was to break through. After about an hour or so of fierce fighting, a gap in the enemies lines appeared. AS soon as it was discovered, the Division tried to escape. Just as the Mozambicans were about to fill the gap, however, the Pakistani Airforce bopmbed their position with Napalm, killing a large precentage of the Men. As the Imperial Army marched into the camp, the last rebel general surrendered, and All fo Mozambique south of Nampula officially became part of the Lightning Star.

The Total War losses were

30,000 Imperial Servicemen.
500,000 Mozambicans.
