Uranium Market

Binthor
28-07-2004, 04:49
In light of the price of uranium hitting a new high because of the increased number of nuclear weapons being built, Binthor has decided to sell uranium from their mines. Since the uranium prices lately have hit up to 18 USD per pound, and since we do not have the budget for weapons of mass destruction and are therefore building none, Jasmire Inc. will be selling off Uranium to governments for 15 USD per pound. If you can find a price lower than ours, we will make our prices lower than theirs.

Note: We will conduct background checks on all nations before selling uranium. No uranium will be sold to private organizations. Buying in bulk may qualify you for reduced prices. All money is due when the uranium arrives. You must be at least an April 2004 nation to purchase. If you have any questions, please ask.

As the Generic Empire have prices at 12 USD per pound, because of Jasmire Inc.'s promise, the new price is currently 11 USD per pound.

Your actions are, to say the least, disturbing. You're exporting the chief ingredient in nuclear weaponry, what safety precautions have you taken against possible theft/hijacking? For our own safety, the MSA (Mestionian Security Agency) would like to request that a few of our field operatives be permitted to inspect your security measures and report back so as to determine, what, if any threat is posed to the Mestionian people.

Be my guest. As Binthor is involed in no conflicts, half of the First Binthorian Army is currently on station at the mines and the storage complex. Security upgrades are currently being installed and the stores are checked every 15 minutes. If any uranium were to be missing, the borders and airports would be shut down and no one would be let in or out of the country. The convoys of uranium are heavily protected.

Three MSA operatives are en route to Binthor at this time. They have been instructed not to interfere in any way with your operations, they exist only as observers. They are armed, but only with what would prove necessary for personal defense. The MSA would greatly appreciate it if one of these operatives could be witness to a long range transfer of Uranium. Though we do not doubt your competance, we simply get a little edgy when nuclear cake mix is being moved from place to place. Is this acceptable?

Yes, this is acceptable. However, to make a long range delivery, I first need a target that is in another counrty. Most important of all, I need a target buyer.

In order to assist the MSA in their observation of the transfer of Uranium, the Mestionian Treasury has allotted 45,000 USD for the purchase of 3,000 pounds of Uranium from the nation of Binthor. This transaction will be completed by Special Agent John Hughes of the MSA, currently en route to Binthor. Once payment is completed, the Uranium is to be transferred by air to Fowler Air Force Base in Cape May, Mestionian. Details will be provided to you by Special Agent Hughes.

Secret IC: This is acceptable. We will first transport the materials via convoy to the military section of Holloway International Airport. The materials will then be transported in a C-5 Galaxy cargo transport on a "humanitarian aid" mission (only key roles are informed of the time and route of the transports. We mainly go on back roads with covoys.). If the destination is far enough, we will have to refuel at either a Binthorian or allied air force base. As soon as we have touched down at the target country's specified airport, we turn the materials over to them. The C-5 is always accompanied by 3 Mirage fighters and has 5 more Mirages in a quick response distance away. If attacked in the air, the crew of the Galaxy are ordered to detonate thermite charges attached to the uranium. The uranium is always kept in a concealed area on the plane. If more than one Galaxys are needed, they will go on different routes to the target.

Mawhaw is doing Uranium for 14.50, but we've only got a skipload handy at the minute. Best of all, the security system is a 26 year old dog (but don't be fooled). He's only got a few weeks left to live, but we may as well put the li'l fella to good use.

Next week we'll be exporting the hair of a dog that bit ya, so everyone can make effective hangover cures to coincide with the aftermath of Mawhaw newyear (which is really my birthday, but hey, I'm a corrupt dictator! Go me!)

Can my inspectors tag along with your inspectors?

If you would like to make a statement that another has lower prices than Jasmire Inc., please post a link confirming this statement.

Bump.
Chellis

Chellis would like to buy as much uranium as binthor can supply, starting with an order for 300,000 pounds of uranium, unless you cant fulfill that large of an order.

Chellis will be supplied with 300,000 lbs. of uranium at 11 USD per pound, in light of the Generic Empire's offer. The uranium would cost 3,300,000 USD, but due to reduced prices for bulk buying, the price will be lowered to 3,000,000 USD. The shipment should be arriving in a few days. Thank you.
