New Product from the Yao-Ming Corporation: Magnetic Fusion Reactor

Industrial Experiment

As its initial globally available product, the Yao-Ming Corporation of the Federation of Industrial Experiment is proud to preview for all you good leaders of the free world a technology that could very well change how we look at power generation. With the initial studies and early development being carried out by Industrial scientist Howard Moven and his core group of Electro-magnetics experts, the rights to the equations Moven developed from the Yang-Mills field equations were bought by the Yao-Ming Corporation, recently formed by the Garthan Business Trust for that very purpose. Over the last five years, and for a period projected to be between one and four more years, the Yao-Ming Corporation has and continues to work with these equations to create the exact type of magnetic field that would be required to compress, and thus heat, a certain hydrogen isotope that is very conducive to nuclear fusion. So far, the Yao-Ming Corporation has been able to create a stable, controlled fusion reactions for experimentally indefinite periods of time, and is currently working on perfecting mass production techniques for the machinery required to generate the needed magnetic field.

This new technology, dubbed pinch-fusion by some of those that worked on it, could lead to breakthroughs in energy production, as the output is seemingly limitless. It is very theoretically possible to power an entire region containing a dozen cities the size of New York for half a human lifetime with only a small farm of these reactors. Also, these reactors present a very attractive, and very safe, alternative to existing fission engines employed in modern naval ships. They require signifigantly less solid radiation shielding, as the magnetic fields themselves are quite sufficient in that area, and they also offer an extended lifetime in great orders of manitude larger than a more contemperary fission reactor.

When one takes into account the simple process by which normal water may be diluted down to the base hydrogen fuel, one would arrive at the conclusion that a sea-ship would no longer be limited by the fuel it can bring with it, but rather the amount of supplies it decides to load the ship with.

The Yao-Ming Corporation is looking forward to releasing this product to the world at large, and will be taking orders from now until release. Expected pre-order prices average 10 billion Isolats (1 Isolat = 2.5 USD) per unit, but this price is negotiable, and will be effected by bulk orders. Upon release, the price shall shift according to production costs. Initial shipments should be expected upon completetion of the industrial complexes needed to produce the reactor equipment, a date estimated to be in about two or three years.

Deposits may be made into the Terenial Banking Corporation's main branch in the capitol city of Industrial Experiment, Isoloti, through direct wire transmission or through telegraph.

All orders will include an AI program designed specifically for assisting in the installation of the new reactors into whatever facilities you may decide upon, and additionally in converting whatever existing facilities that need such conversion to be able to correctly house the reactor. Lastly, it will contain plans on how to build a mass distillery from which the hydrogen fuel may be derived from water. Alternate distillery plans for creating hydrogen fuel from other substances available upon request.
