“Well, how is our patient today” Dr Azmed Modull asked through an intercom.
“The patient is developing an acute fever doctor, he is entering stage one.”
Doctor Azmed was surprised at this. The patient had only been infected for fourteen hours and now the virus was beginning to take hold of the body, the immune system must have been overrun and soon the patients entire body would be as well.
Inside the air tight room a man was being held on a table. Leather straps held his limbs in place while IV lines extended from his arms filling him with crucial dozes of morphine. The patient motioned to an assistant that he needed to go to the toilet and instead an elaborate tube system was lowered and put into place. Slowly the fluids from inside the mans body were now being funnelled away for collection in another laboratory for analysis. However this was not usual Urine, blood and a thick viscous material swamped his exited fluids. The virus had begun its attack upon the Kidneys.
At a microscopic level the Ebola Viruses were attacking the mans cells, starting off with the Kidneys the virus began to assimilate each cell, combining each RNA strand with the Patients DNA in each cell. The very fabric of what made the patient was being obliterated. What came out of the unholy union between the merging of the RNA and DNA strand was a new virus; of course the cell in question is destroyed in the process and if done in a large scale all that will be left is a thick dead organic goo.
Next to the patient who was infected with the Ebola virus Zaire strain was another poor criminal who was infected with a new version of the virus, a much more deadly one. Though slower to take effect this new virus was much more resilient to U.V light and the harsh conditions of the outside world. This virus was airborne.
The new virus labelled Ebola E, was discovered in the tropical province of Meklinth in the Sith nation. It was believed that all strains of Ebola were classified and captured however thankfully they were wrong.
As each patient became a victim of the virus, the scientists were busy working on their next project. The modification of Ebola.
In a laboratory deep in the depths of Sargoth isle the scientists were busy watching the Interaction between Ebola and the Kidney cells of poor animals that were selected for their organs. The kidneys had been removed from over 100 African monkeys, then subsequently the brown liquid was poured into trays in a warm moist room, so the virus could grow while being monitored by every expert available to the Sith military.
The powerful electron microscopes watched as the Viruses consumed the Kidney cells and multiplied, growing in number the Ebola E strain was providing the Sith military with the perfect weapon to use against their enemies.

“Look as I told you, we will be able to modify the RNA sequences if we can monitor the interaction between the DNA strands.”
“Yes we know that, but it takes time and resources. The military wants this weapon completed as soon as possible. If we delay much longer we will lose our funding.”
The two scientists were the lead minds in the construction and progression of the Ebola operation. Dr Azmed Modull sat at the opposite side of a large Oak table peering at his more ambitious rival Dr Markel Soloch. Modull did not know what to make of his rival obvious ambition to modify the Ebola virus it was already the most deadly killer know to man. However his ideas were interesting.
“Look Azmed, we have not always seen eye to eye on many things, however if we can do what I believe is possible then we will have all the funding we will ever need. Imagine being able to change the time in which it takes Ebola to activate and come out of its dormant state. If we can pull this off we can have out own biological time bomb weapon.”
“yes Markell, but we just don’t have the staff.”
“Then recruit more, look go up to the general, he is a smart man. If he realises what could happen here then not only will we get a weapon but we will be bale to get a cure for almost anything and everything.”
“Very well I will attempt it, however Markell if we do pull this off I want duel credit for it.”
“I wouldn’t give you anything less.” And that closed the meeting. Both men sttod up and proceed to leave the room through two different doors. Azmed had his patients to see to while Markell had his trays.
As Markell entered his office after the discussion with Dr Azmed, he decided that it would be prudent to outline his idea if the general did decide to go for the RNA monitoring programme. Markell sat down at his desk and began to outline his proposal.
Once the Virus RNA strand is mapped out and we will assuredly have the DNA strand of the patient fully mapped we will then be able to gain an idea of the mathematical nature if the interaction. If the amino acids have a quantifiable mathematical value then we will be able to find out how they react with the Codon strings. If both the DNA and RNA strands are mapped out then interactions between the two will give us the value of the elements in the polynomial allowing us to determine how the virus replicates and therefore we will be bale to change the viruses nature to suit ourselves or the militaries discression.
Dr Markell looked at this piece of scruff work and decided that it was essentially what he was intending to do, however he scrunched up this bit of paper for incineration and began work on a more formal version, this was not suitable for the general.
