The Imperial Army and Imperial Army have decided that the current logistics situation with camouflage patterns is unacceptable. Each branch currently fields at least three patterns with color pallets that are only slightly similar. Currently a soldier must repaint his own suit for a future deployment using issued painting screens and paints and while that will continue for the foreseeable future the system will be much more redundant and not put as much strain on the various manufacturing industries responsible for making the necessary materials. In the future SIBA suits will come with a molded-on laminate that will enable the soldier with a field laptop or PDA to reprogram his suit to display the proper camo in a matter of minutes, which will totally eliminate one more section of a vulnerable supply chain. Unfortunately, this system will not be ready for deployment for another 15 years at the earliest.

[Only when they're about to deploy to a place that requires a different camo scheme and it's way cheaper than buying six different sets of SIBA (which costs at least 50,000 per suit) for each infantryman. It's kinda why I'm going to adopt the programmable laminate, it's not such a pain in the ass.]

What is SIBA?

[It stands for St. Ives Battle Armour, basically something I cooked up after I read about BLEEX. It's probably bleeding edge 2020 tech, but I've not had any complaints when I've used it.]
