Smoke covered a small area on what had previously been an artillery position for an attack on tindouf, when chellis had liberated Algeria from tyrandis invaders.

The smoke cleared partially. One hundred and twenty or so Antigone 155mm artillery guns sat there, with large amounts of trucks carrying extra ammunition. Soldiers passed ammunition back and forth as the artillery was loaded, fired, then loaded again. It had begun.

"Tank! Fire!" Yelled a Chellian tank commander as he spotted a T-55 in the long distance. The Nilsar tank swivled its barrel toward the tank, and fired. The Polynege skittered away, and after a few seconds, a small explosion was seen in the distance.

Semara and Leeyoune were the first targets. Paratroopers had already jumped into Leeyoune, and taken control of the government officials. Chellian tanks were in viewing distance of Semara, and supporting artillery had already damaged the city, whereas chellian bombers had taken out all known weapons caches and paramilitary holdings in the city.

Chellis had nothing to say internationally.

Chellian forces have made breakthroughs in northern WS. WS resistance is light, and chellian troops presenting unprecedented kindness(not shooting on sight on citizens) have made initial resistance weaker. Semara has been infiltrated by a chellian division already, where chellian troops have come under limited fire, though they have returned fire on them using RPO-A Thermobaric rocket launchers, a tactic very well liked by chellians, as it obliterates the position they were fired at from. Smaller towns have also been taken, though many were just searched for any sizable armaments, then left.

OOC: Just FYI, it was long ago decided that NO territory claims/invasion threads that affect non-player lands (ie, not an invasion as agreed to between two RP'd nations) can be invite-only...otherwise everyone could have an "invite only: I'm seizing the world...oh, and nobody's invited" thread. Actually, mods wouldnt delete for something that minor. They arent stupid, and can realize a desperate attempt for retaliation when they see it. I know a lot of them personally, they really arent idiots like many make them out to be.
