IC: "In a crash programme in search of a new strategic bomber force, the Freethinker Ministry of Defence Procurement Office has placed out the following contract:

The delivery of a combined total of 540 high-performance, high loadout weight strategic bomber aircraft, with an additional option of 216 more aircraft, to be divided over the following delivery periods;

108 Aircraft to be delivered by 3 (NS) years,
A further 108 Aircraft to be delivered by 6 (NS) years,
A further 108 Aircraft to be delivered by 9 (NS) years,
A further 216 Aircraft to be delivered by 12 (NS) years, and
If applicable, A further 216 Aircraft to be delivered by 15 (NS) years"

The contract is open to any and all bidders, and we select goods on quality, not price. There will be a bidding period* in which to make your proposal, lambast the opposition, yell randomly at us, etc, before we make our final decision.

Or, NWI can custom design a plane to your spefications. This option would range in price from 45 M to 65 M depending on your requirements. NWI is a full-service company, but they specialize in planes, and have over 10 Trillion $ profit off they're Z-series alone.

Approximately six months ago the Ministry of Defence Procurement and Export postponed indefinately the Advanced Strategic Bomber (ASB) program in favour of a fleetwide upgrade of existing Tu-160, Tu-22M and B-2 aircraft due to funding constraints. However the ASB project had progressed significantly with a design selected, powerplants developed and a prototpye under construction. The aircraft designated EA-270 is a supersonic, stealth aircraft with long range and state of the art technology.

In order to revive the ASB project and develop production aircraft in the time period given, we would require approximately $45 billion. This would mean that the initial Batch of 108 aircraft would have to be paid for upfront for a total of 420 million each. If for any reason we are unable to meet the contract obligations, we will refund you 75% of that amount limiting your risk. However this is unlikley and the benefit is that you get a brand new type which can be tailored to your specifications. After the first batch of 108 which will cover development costs, the per unit price will likey fall to approximately 280 million each.

The EA-270 is definately a more expensive solution to Freethinker's requirement than competitors but it offers unprecedented levels of performance and technology. We would expect therefore that if this airframe was selected, you would not require as many as 540 aircraft to give the same level of capabiltiy. OOC: I'm still learning Paint. I actully had a whole storefront but decided not to use it do to the fact I didn't want any legal trouble from use of the pictures. If their are any problems with the design, please let me know, its been awhile since I've designed anything.

OOC: Given my complete lack of CAD skills, even in MS Paint, i have no pictures for any of my strategic bombers, but most are (loosely) based on aircraft available today.

IC: The EB-1C Vampire has been the mainstay of the McLeodian Royal Air Force in almost every single conflict McLeod03 has ever been involved in. The wide array of weapons fits available to the EB-1C ensure that a strike force of thses aircraft alone can provide its own escort, SEAD group, and bomber group. It is the finest bomber ever used in the RAF, and is likely to remain in service for man years to come, even with the introduction of the newer cheaper EB-3 and EB-4 series (OOC: Tu-160 and Tu-22M upgrades). To this day, it has never been sold outside of McLeod03, but this could change if enoguh interest is shown in the design.

B-170D model features improved leading-edge wing slats and increased turbofan bypass ratio, and assisted intake. Further modifications to the KAI-210 engine system, coupled with further airframe refinements, have increased the operational ceiling of the new model to 59,000 feet.

Other improvements and additions include:

-GPSAM (Global Positioning Aided Munitions) integration system
-Quadruplex fiber optic FBW system
-New carbon-fiber honeycomb system to reduce RCS
-Increased cold-air bypass intake to reduce IR signature
-Acoustically absorbent engine materials
