Belecus

Jackson City, Belecus

Premier Peter Allen laughed when he saw the new map. Just recently, the colonial nation had aquired the Jefferson Colony, which was now a territorial piece of Belecus. Smiling, he drew with his finger across the map, "Oh how these foolish people think they can stop the great army."

Looking to the West of Belecus, he slammed his fist down. It had been a small time since the first war. Now, the nation was much much more powerful, and much more established. It would be in an even better position for the next war.

Along the RomeW - Belecus Border

For a few days now, troops had been ammassing along the border. Encamped all across the landscape, some 1 Million Troops were preparing, being prepped at the last minute by the Generals and leaders of the great army. After several minutes of speech, a loud cry came from the mass of soldiers. They were fierce, and ready for the next battle. Bloodthirsty from the last war, and coupled with the success of the last, Belecus was sure to come out on top.

As the convoys roared to life, the mass of soldiers and troops crossed the border into the Roman Claim. Under their mighty boots, they would conquer...

From: Peter Allen, Belecus

As you would already know, we have begun the official invasion of your territory. As you also know, we have first rights to this land you claim to be your own. As the first settlers, as the discovering nation of this landmass, we ought to have the first rights. Therefore we are offering you a treaty of comprimisation.

We understand that your intentions to colonise were there to make diplomatic contact with the Lands of Alex, therefore we offer you a diplomatic deal before blood is shed on the Roman Lands.

--------------------------------
Roman - Belecus Treaty of Comprimisation

1. Roman Land to be given to Belecus

2. Belecus to pay TWICE the worth of the land as payment to the Roman Government

3. Romans to keep a small piece of land the size of the Miratha Claim (OOC: See New Map Link HERE (http://www.freewebs.com/colonymaps/newmap.htm))
---------------------------------

If the treaty is not accepted, the Roman Lands WILL be aquired, with or without bloodshed.

The Federation of Morathania codemns in the strongest words possible this invasion of another neutral colony. If Belecus does not cease these attacks Morathania and the Victoria Alliance will be ready to give aid and support to Romanus Eropidus. This time Morathania will not give in to the demands of Belecus and will help any nation that is threatened by this rogue nation. We are ready and we are prepared so stop your invasion now or pay the consequences.

In the Houses of Parliament in the center of Hamilton legislators continued to discuss in a joint sesssion of the Parliament.
"We have to fight and we have to win. We must defend another colony from having to suffer like Jefferson has," said Senator De Winters (CP- Wexford), "We need to take a stand."
"This is a sure sign that we shouldn't have gotten involved in Imperialist Escapades and colonialism," said Senator Deuchamp (MLP- Federales) Leader of the Loyal Opposition, "the MLP said that expansionism and colonialism would be no good for Morathania. Therefore I think it is my opinion and the opinion of most in my party that we should not get anymore involved in Eropid and that we should not help RomeW."
"I can't believe the opposition would let Belecus, an undemocratic totalitarian dictatorship, overrun this Landmass and destroy Liberty, Democracy and Freedom not to mention the colony and colonists that have labored for years as good colonists and loyal Morathanians. Do you have no shame Mr. Deuchamp, do you have no shame," said Rep. Weld (CP- Kracosia).
"I believe that it would be in the best intrests of this country if we just sent economic aid to RomeW and to be more conserned with defending our own colony and building up new infrastructure," said Senator Davies, head of the Christian Democrats.
"Okay we need to come to a descision," said President of the Senate Bill Simpson (CP- Ruthenia), "were going to vote. Three options will be on the ballot. One is military aid and troops to RomeW's colony, Romanus Eropidus, second will be only economic aid and a great investment in our own colonial defense or the third option which will be no aid to Romanus Eropidus. The vote will begin in 30 minutes."
As the vote began many MLP, CD and CP members were swayed toward the economic aid option but in the end the vote was 39% Military 37% Economic 24% No aid.
"With this vote we will send troops to aid Romanus Eropidus but we will also add in a statement saying that we will invest more heavily in colonial defense. This joint session is adjurned."

RomeW moved his colony out of Eropid. He's abandoned that colony. I have no idea what the land is now whether its unclaimed still his or not their but he has definitely moved his colony. Here is a telegram I recieved earlier today about this:

The Democratic Empire of RomeW
Received: 8 hours ago
I pulled out of Eropid and made it as if it didn't happen...I didn't like how the RP was playing out (I don't like being thrown into wars, and I felt the RP was just a ploy for the starters to lull unsuspecting people into conflicts) so I left. Thank you for the help, though, but I won't need it in Eropid as I'm not there.

Their you have it boys and girls. This war is officially over. You should have thought this over a little more Belecus.

The area that was RomeW's colony is now unclaimed territory. It is a legal expansion and you may claim the entire area since RomeW has given up his claim to the territory. Its all yours. You may aquire the area peacefully.

Belecus News Daily - New Territory Claimed in Eropid

With the new news that the Romans had given up the land they had formally owned, Premier Peter Allen claimed the land in the following speech;

"Once again children of Belecus, we have triumphed, adding the entire western sector formally known as Roman land to our land claim. We hearby lay full claim to such land to such lands. We will be updating maps accordingly."

OOC: Heh, I never though imperialism would be so easy, ah well, time to update the maps :)

OOC: You can bet that your imperialism will only get harder and harder from here. The only reason everyone else did give you a one two punch this time was because RomeW gave up that land along time ago. Maybe you should inquire with the nation your going to attack before you actually do.

Dimmimar is pondering whether to launch an attack on Belecus's foolishness...

The Inc. states of kiwipeso offer to assist Dimmimar in the event of Belecus agression to peaceful and free states.
I should note that all kiwipeso seeks is 25 square km of territory near the sea for a new spaceport, I seek this peacefully and hopefully through commerce alone.

I am willing to spend millions of Gold coins on acquiring a small bit of territory so I can reliably launch spacecraft so please no more talk of war unless you are serious.
