CYS Open for Diplomacy

Yugoslavian States
26-07-2004, 06:45
After the successful revolution, the Confederacy of Yugoslavian States is open for diplomatic actions with any nation across the globe. We are willing to exchange embassies, begin trade, enter alliances, etc.

And one more final note, the CYS Military is heavily outdated, our most advanced vehicle being the T-72. We are in dire need of military equipment as the revolution was costly on military equipment. We are open to purchase vehicles, tanks, aircraft, helicopters, and even naval vessels, however, they cannot be too expensive.

We thank any nations out there for their support...

I'm afraid we'll have to decline... That is far too much money than we care to spend, and probably more than we even have. But, we thank you for the offer.

We have looked at the ships specifications, we can not afford its upkeep and a large portion of our navy would have to be devoted to staffing and maintaining just that one vessel. We're more interested in a navy with smaller ships which are easier to maintain and not as expensive.

Yes, I stated that in my revolution thread. We accept your embassy exchange but we inquire about your 'Whittier Pact'... We require more information before making a decision on whether to join or not.

"The Empire would be interested to exchange Embassies with your great confederacy. Our national arms producing company ToxiCorp can provide you with a variety of weapons.

Unfortunatly we no longer produce the T-72 but instead offer T-80s or T-90s.
We also produce BRDMs, Ural trucks, UAZs and BMPs in various types. We can also offer Mi-26 and Mi-28N helicopters as well as the most modern MiGs.

We will consider joining the Whittier Pact (you had asked us), but we must know its beliefs and what it stands for. Then we will make an educated decision.

The CYS would be willing to purchase T-80s but we have enough UAZs, URALs, and BRDMs. We are also willing to purchase a handful of Mi-26 Halos and a few Mi-28 Havocs to update our aging helicopter inventories. We're currently developing a variant of the MiG-21 that will modernize it even more than the latest Yugoslavian upgrades (before the revolution).

Lagash adopted capitalism and was going to leave the alliance, however
the new government was ruthless ousted and the Lagash population
quickly suppressed when the second Brezhnekov dispatched the Whittier

You can consider yourself what I call a "client state", which basically means I give you weapons, economic assistance, etc, and I get trade deals in return. I may also need you to help with embargoes against various nations at various times. But don't think for a second I'll interfere in your elections or something, (unless you have a candidate you want to win who needs a little extra help such as money)

American Heritage definition: client state n. A country that is dependent on the economic or military support of a larger, more powerful country:

Occ- CM is going to be dumping loads of weapons unto the nations of the world. We realize with each weapon we send, we gain a bit of influence.

Also CYS, I'm going to send 400 pilots to help you setup an air force training academy. You may send 5,000 prospective pilots to CM and we will put them through basic piloting and fighter skills in our academies. Soon we'll have your academies up and running.

OOC- Alright, we've just finished delevoping the J-33 Orao II (an updated J-22) but if you have any good avionics for it, we're willing to purchase them. Otherwise, the J-33 is designed to be a cheap, effective multi-role fighter to supplement the larger, more expensive designs.
