Braedd Laeryn stood at the head of a long oaken table. Two Knights in full combat armor stood behind him, but their armor was disabled out of consideration to the other guests, who could not breate gasoline smoke.
Tall-backed wooden chairs, sixteen of them, awaited delegates.

Fenris sat at the opposite end as the Shessaran with General Abdel-Alim and Admiril Hasan Ameen at the corners near him. The room was lined with Halladi Regulars who stood making no sound.

"Who else are we expecting?" Fenris asked.

"Captain Kronner of the Halladi Maxentian Regulars and Lt. Bedwyr of Yr Widdfa. Perhaps a Shildonian commander too." The General said.

"Fenris," said Laeryn, "Get your grunts out of this room or I will take them out of here for you."

"You have your guards," he said motioning to the Shessaran High Guardsmen, "I have mine."

"Believe me when I say this is all for the best. We need all the security we can get so another incident doesn't occur- like with Hattia." The General remarked.

Another Officer entered the room and saluted to Fenris and the Hallad Commanders. "Captain Derkits, commander of the Northlands Regulars."

"Have a seat Captain." Fenris said. The man did as ordered taking a seat near the other Halladi commanders.

"Besides," The Admiril began, "if we wanted you dead, we wouldn't clump a large ammount of men in a room. Especially not ones armed with M41A1 Pulse Rifles. The bullets explode."

"Are you insulting my honor, Fenris? Should we settle this on a field where rigging elections won't change the outcome?"

The door behind Laeryn opened, and the shapes of further Knights and High Guardsmen were visible.

The Halladi men lifted their guns. Captain Derkits had his pistol out.

"Are all Shessarans to uncivilised as to still allow dueling?" Fenris said, not to any one in particular.

"It appears so, Mr. President." The Captain said.

Fenris shook his head.

"How about this, Laeyrn, your men leave this complex. My men leave this room."
Shessara
26-07-2004, 01:43
"Your men leave the room, my men leave the room. Aderyn and Elddar stay. Your generals stay. Otherwise we'll have this out right here." Laeryn didn't bother to hide his dislike of the Halladi leader. "I am a Prince of Shessara, and every bit your equal."

Mustafa looked at Hasan who gave a shrug. Then he glanced at Abdel. He gave a slight nod. Fenris sighed. "Allow two of my men to remain."
Shessara
26-07-2004, 01:49
"This Derkits can remain. No others." Laeryn looked impatient.
Hallad
26-07-2004, 01:52
"Captain Derkits is not a guard, he is a Halladi representative here, he would remain even if you did not want him here." The President repsonded. "You have two guards. We have two guards. Is that a deal? Oh, and I hope you will not mind the next Halladi Commander, because he will stay too."
Shessara

"Bah, if you need puling wretches to speak for you, fine."
Hallad
26-07-2004, 02:01
"I speak on behalf of my men, not for President Fenris. Now, I suggest you show some respect to my Nation's leader."

"Indeed." Admiril Ameen concured.

"Well then, Prince of Shessara, you must learn to agree to our terms on our soil. Otherwise you may find this to be a very unfriendly place." Fenris said the the Prince.

"Shove it up your arsehole, Fenris, where the rest of your crap belongs. Now tell me something useful, like the dispersion of your forces across Hallad and the nearby territories."

Two knights, dressed in fully caprisioned armour, push open the doors. They are totaly uannouced as they call out in a full yell "Heil Adek!" With that, a man in a red tunic and powdered wig sturts in through the door. He is adorned with a fine golden and jewl encrusted crown. "Thank you Shassara. Your invation is much...acceptable?"
Shessara

"Adek. Good, maybe you can get something out of these filthy tyrants."

The Shildonian representatives, Brigadier General Tom Hackworth and Air Commodore George Fentham, arrive at the conference. Hackworth is wearing standard issue desert fatigues, and a maroon beret with the DLI emblem pinned to its front. Fentham is wearing a flight suit and a pair of aviator sunglasses, which he takes off almost immediatly after entering the room. Both men are carrying side-arms, though they aren't loaded, and Tom also has a laptop computer with him.
The General speaks first, "Good evening gentleman, Mr President. I am Brigadier General Tom Hackworth, Commander of Shildonian Joint Forces in Hallad. This is my second-in-command, Air Commodore George Fentham. He's a bit more knowledgable than I am about these new-fangled flying machines". He grins at his joke for a couple of seconds, then clears his throat and continues "I trust the room has been swept for bugs?"

Laeryn looked down at the newcomers and grunted. "I don't know and don't particularly care. Ask these Halladi arses."

Lt. Bedwyr steps into the room, dressed in a forest green dress uniform with a red Hawk on the left breast and a black beret with the celtic knot on the front, a long dirk in his belt. He takes in the situation and nods to his two companions who step to either side of the door and wait outside.
"I think the last comment was unneeded." he says calmly, "In my land the guest shows some respect for his host. President Fenris, good to meet you at last." he says, bowing slightly. Then adds, "I brought half my platoon with me as the defenses in New Dublin are done and I am a bit wary of us all being in the same location." he cuts a glance at the Shessarans, his gray eyes flashing slightly, then bows, "I don't believe I've had the pleasure. Lt. Bedwyr, Yr Widdfa Special Forces."

"Prince Braedd Laeryn of Shessara, N' Dal Cavridoc and Marshal Militaris of the New Roman Empire. Prince of the South." Laeryn looked quite pleased with his list of titles. "Bedwyr, eh?"
Hallad
26-07-2004, 14:18
"Indeed it has been, General Hackworth. Please, sit down."

Kronner soon followed Lt. Bedwyr. He saluted his fellow Halladi's.

"Captain Konner reporting, sir."

"Good, sit."

He sat down.

"I believe we can get started now gentlemen."

Each of the Halladi men brought up a suitcase. Placed a few maps out with troop movements and, in the Admiril's case, Fleet movements. "Now, is this what you want to see Laeryn?" Fenris asked.
Shessara
26-07-2004, 14:43
"No. I want to hear it in your own words. I'm a soldier, not a bureaucrat."
Hallad
26-07-2004, 14:57
"Which would you like to hear about first then? Naval movements? Defense of the Desert, New Dublin, or Erse and the South?" Fenris asked. Himself being a soldier in the Halladi Army at one time he could understand what the maps meant, and he had of course been informed of everything by his Commanders.

"Let's start with concentration of forces, then." Laeryn glanced around the table. "All of you, too."

Bedwyr sat down and glanced around the table, no one spoke for a moment.
"Well, since mine will be the shortest and no one seems to want to start, I will. I have one hundred men supported by a flight of Ten Attack Helicopters and four transport choppers. Half my men are currently spread around the perimeter of this complex as a screen and the other half are in New Dublin awaiting orders. They're Special Forces troops, not regulars so shoving them in the line won't do much but provide a few crack shots in the line. They'll be best used for hit and run attacks, screwing up enemy communication and supply lines and being a general irritant to any invading force. The Helicopters are the same, they've got hellfire missles and chainguns so they're good for much the same thing or for tankbusting." He sat back and looked around.

OOC: so are we actually going to have a council? If not then we might as well leave and go back to the war forum.

"I´m sorry for my late...."

Said Commodore Johan Vikos, the Leader of the 15th AoE2 Regional Armada, that was guarding the Halladian Coasts.

""I´m sorry for my late, noble gentlemen, it is just that I thought I should assist personally, instead of sending someone in the representation of Grunge-France.

Before anything else is said, let me explain you, now that we are in a secure place, what is going on with my Armada: I just gave the order to get deeper into the Halladi waters thus, granting the Hattian blockade to enter deeper and get a better possition. I know that is not a popular decission among you, but this is the trick. The 16th AoE2 Armada and the 17th AoE2 Armada... Well, they set sailed a long time ago (OOC: both IC and OOC, a looong time ago) and as soon as the Hattian blockade forces consolidate their possition... think they have cornered my Armada, de 15th Armada, the 16th and the 17th Armadas will caught those Hattian bastars by the tail, by surprise, and that is when we will not only utterly destroy the attempted blockade, but we will have totally sorrounded the Hattian fleet, thank sto the Gulf-like possition Hallad provide us.""

Laeryn merely blinked after the Commodore was finished. "Do you usually introduce yourself with all this crap? Ambushes? Tricks? Traps? Bah."

He looked the Commodore up and down. "You'd better fight better than you talk. Let's hear your other force deployments."

After receiving a tramsission from his 2nd Captain at charge of the fleet, Commodore Vikos continued listening Laeryn. When he finished talking, Vikos muttered to himself:

"I can´t belive I have to work with such a prick... where the hell is Shessara anyway? Bah, I was kicking asses before his little nation was born..."

Then, out loud:

"Oh, yes, well, they have just informed me that the operations have started. I think we all just need to sit tight and watch the strongest navy in NS, the AoE2 Navy, do its magic"

The door opens and one of Bedwyr's men steps in and hands a note to Bedwyr, then steps back out. He scans the transmission and a huge grin breaks over his face.
"The Duke is deploying the rest of the division I'm in. The whole 19th is coming. President, you should be getting a similar transmision soon enough with details. Well, it seems that about 9900 more Celts are marching this way." he smiles.
Hallad
28-07-2004, 14:29
"Very good, Lt. Bedwyr."

"And, don't worry about the French fleet. The Hattians are out matched. And if they should prove to be to defiant then there is Halladi fleet which should have arrived there." Admiril Ameen said.

Laeryn shook his head. "What are we doing? We outnumber the Hattian allies about two to one! We could attack them at their borders, and crush them!"
Hallad
28-07-2004, 15:16
"If we did that we would loose support. Haven would get involved. And they are a large region. Simply, we don't need to be seen as agessors." Fenris responded.
Shessara
28-07-2004, 15:58
"How would we be seen as aggressors? They attacked us, not the other way around!"
Hallad
28-07-2004, 17:53
"Because there isn't a need to attack them. We will loose support if we do such an action. You may if you feel nessicery, but we shall not aid you in actions against the Hattian mainland.

Commodore Johan Vikos, after receiving the information of his 2nd Captain at charge, said:

"The Hattians managed to put of a fight, however, our biggest problem was that they got luck and managed to destroy one of our oil suppliers, which caused some damages in one of the Armadas. However, the damage we have caused them cannot be compared (OOC.: No other way to put it since Hattia has not posted its cassualities)."

I´m being informed that the Hattians have been offered the chance to surrender. According to their answer, we will take into custody the Hattian survivors and will sink whatever it is left in the Hattian fleet, or we will sink whatever it is left in the Hattian fleet ALONG with the Hattian survivors, it is really up to them."

"The Armored Division and the Artillery Division that were in the transports along with the Armadas are now heading to Hallad and will unload there along with 20,000 marines."

"Intelligence reports us that our numeric advantage will not last forever, for DPUO and Hattia istelf has reinforcements en route. We will keep though the technological advantage... but I could not guarantee you that will be enough, bu tdon´t worry, I will come up with something. There are 3 more Armadas heading to here to support us, although they are still far away and will take some time until we can effectively count on them"

After saying that, Commodore Vikos pulled out one of his Cuban imported cigars, prepared it, and started to smoke it in a ver relaxed way.
