The NAS has annexed part of South America, due to it's rapidly increasing population. Vast tracts of land will be cleared for housing and commercial development.
Troops have been deployed to the area to enforce NAS law until such time as a regular police force can be assembled.

Actually- the Falkland Islands are a UK possession (here, part of the British Federation)

Of course, since I play as the UK, I also claim the Falklands, but I'm happy to let others do the same in this big multiverse.

French Guiana is now renamed "Guiana". We will now teach them the wonders of the English language, and about the problems that come with France.

(I hope that won't mean the end of the European Space Agency, Sevaris! Oh, uh, plus some finger wagging about the French being our friends now, blah blah :) )

The ESA does use French Guiana for launches, due to its proximity to the equator, right? I haven't slept for two nights running and might be making things up, heh.

The Dominion controls- and has military facilities upon- several islands historically related to your recent acquisitions. The Juan Fernandez Islands, Isla de la Pascua (also known as Easter Island), and Sala y Gomez. His Omniferocity's government also has good relations with the current owners of the Galapagos Islands.

So long as your military adventures are restricted to the South American mainland, Evil Overlord Enterprises is not terribly interested in what you do.

Do not engage in military ventures in the Pacific. The eastern and southern regions of the Pacific Ocean are the primary trading routes for Evil Overlord Enterprises. Military action there will be ruthlessly and permanently discouraged.

OOC: Thankyoumuchly for recognising (And not opposing) my interests in S America in the event that Ruhr doesn't mind.

Brit Fed: How about an invasion of the Falklands? Both our countries are around the same size, and the islands have strategic value.

Just to let you know, in case someone wants to claim Mexico, it has already been claimed.
Not by me though, I only have some regional troops there. its owner is The Kahaile Family, which RPs as Mexico.

OOC: All right, I'll RP a conflict over the islands, if you're up for it. Feel free to post a thread indicating the approach of your forces, or your intent or whatever the heck (we have modest defences on hand which shall react, but the chances are that the main conflict will occur weeks later after we assemble a task force at home). I RP with the UK at roughly its real-life population, so would prefer that it not be a huge conflict, with thousands rather than millions of personel -after all, the islands are tiny and not worth killing divisions over (plus the logistics give me a headache :).

That's brilliant. I was actually going to suggest using smaller-scale stuff myself. Besides, it's not as if the Falklands are that big, anyway.
