After a short and bloody scandal in the expanded Naval Guard, which ended with roughly 75% of the Weyrean Naval Guard officers doing hard labor for massive fraud and embezzlement, Weyr once again is trying to bring its Navy up to modern standards.

The comment from Weyr’s High king Alicia was that “they [Weyr Shipyards] have shown an amazing capacity for both incompetence and fraud. They’ve managed to supply us with ships that broke down before they were even delivered…”

After forcing the Weyr Shipyards Inc to pay US$60billion in fines and damages, the new Naval Guard is now looking for various non-Weyr-based corporations and nations who will be able to supply Weyr with littoral combat ships.

Price ceiling: US$50billion
Looking for: Corvettes, patrol boats, ASW vessels, mine warfare vessels, coast guard vessels.
Considering: frigates, cruisers, destroyers.
_Not_ looking for: battleships, carriers, dreadnaughts, ballistic submarines.
