Vendi

He straightened his tie and adjusted his microphone. The air in the pressroom stood still and all eyes were on the Prime Minister of Vendi. The countdown began and he prepared to make a speech that would either destroy his country, or save it.
"Greetings fellow nations. It has been long since the way of organized field battle. The history of warfare is one of nobility and honour, but most of all it is a history governed by rules that no longer apply. Long gone are the days of muskets and organized rows. Replacing them are suicide bombs, and attacks on civilian targets. It is an ugly future that we are confronted with, but too long have we watched nations be ravaged by terrorism and stood idly by. I do not propose a return to old ways. I do propose that we as nations adapt to this future and stand together in the face of a common enemy. That is why Vendi proposes the Terrorism Defense Coalition or TDC. This is a non-discriminatory organization that wishes to combat terrorism wherever it may be. The path that member nations follow may be one filled with obstacles, but with international cooperation, they will be overcome. I propose members of the TDC exchange embassies as well as intelligence. I propose that they create watch lists of known terrorists and their activities. Only through international friendship can terrorism be combated not only successfully, but efficiently as well. As our ranks grow, more and more intelligence will come to us. And with our combined forces we will be able to combat terrorism with actual results. The main component of the TDC is by-partisan cooperation, extending beyond race, religion and political affiliation. I would warn nations that this road may not be easy, but history is made by those who survive difficulty. Only through brotherhood can the international community hope to survive. So I ask nations to join together and embrace the dawn of tomorrow or fall victim to a darkness so deep that no light may penetrate it. Thank you for your time."
The telecast ended and Nigel Rightly took a deep breath and answered questions from his press, and awaited whatever future ahead.
"Mister Prime Minister."
"Yes, you on the right.."
