Within the hour, our forces will launch "Operation: Kiwi Freedom". It is our plan for invasion of New Zealand.

Step I: Launch a coordinated bombing campaign to take out military installations.

Step II: Send troops ashore to secure beacheads.

Step III: Actual invasion. 150,000 troops will land on North Island, and encircle Wellington. Force their surrender.

Step IV: Occupy the rest of the country. Mop up any NZ resistance.

The British embassy in Sevaris (assuming you allowed construction of one, if not then contact to be made via another nation's embassy) has conveyed to that nation's government the fact of London's absolute opposition to this unjustified act of war. PM John Bull has already stated that, in the event of New Zealand's attack by Sevaris, his government shall seek the support of the international community in dislodging the invaders and subduing the apparently rogue state responsible. Her Majesty has sent of her personal support for her subjects in New Zealand, and promised that they shall not be abandoned. Her Majesty's Government in London hopes that there has been a misunderstanding, and that the Sevaris leadership intends to peacefully dissolve the situation before mistakes are made.

Secretly, the Vanguard Class nuclear submarine HMS Vigilant, operating near New Guinea since the "war games" with the Roycelandians, has received new orders to make for waters closer to NZ.

Actually, we do not own NZ. That is Nianicio. We merely selected it because it seems other nations are taking chunks of the world. However, we would like to buy the Falklands.

(OOC: Well, so far as I'm concerned NZ is a sovereign nation, and part of The Commonwealth of Nations, but never mind that, this is a multiverse, after all. Now, you can always choose to operate in a different universe than either myself of Nianaco, I suppose, and there is also the possibility that we could RP your invasion of the Falklands if you really want (though we all know what happened last time somebody invaded that part of the UK's territory). Like when Argentina tried it, we're approaching a weak-point in Navy terms after agreeing to sell five Type 42 destroyers to Ynys before the completion of their Type 45 replacements.)

Of course, IC: The UK government has flatly rejected any negotiation pertaining to the possible sale of the Falklands Islands, the British residents where upon have expressed a clear desire to remain British, and to remain Falklanders.

If it is the wish of the locals, then we shall not intervene. If it is their wish to remain British, so be it.

You might want to look at the many threads that list what RL territories are controlled by NS nations. This will help reduce the chances of unintentionally treading on the toes of some far too powerful for you to take on.

His Omniferocity's government takes the position that the free and open passage of trade through international waters and airspace is the cornerstone of prosperity and freedom. Evil Overlord Enterprises has extensive trade routes throughout the Pacific Ocean, and most of the nations along the Pacific Rim are the Dominion's trading partners- whether or not a formal diplomatic relationship exists.

Accordingly, His Omniferocity views any military action which disrupts trade or otherwise prevents the free passage through international waters as a deliberate attack on EOE trade. This will not be permitted to pass unchallenged.

The Dominion in no way disputes or wishes to impede the rights of sovereign nations to defend themselves against their neighbors- nor their right to wage war upon whomsoever they wish. However, any such military action must respect the right of free passage for all neutral shipping.

His Omniferocity recognizes that military action may disrupt trade temporarily in the immediate combat area. This is considered acceptable provided:
A) Neutral shipping/aircraft are warned away when combat is imminent
B) All involved parties respect neutral shipping and aircraft whenever feasible within the combat area.
C) The disruption of free trade is temporary, localized, and limited.

The Dominion advises all nations that certain actions are unacceptable. Among these are:

- Using neutral shipping as shields against enemy attack
- Flying flags of neutral nations to avoid detection by the enemy
- Commandeering or otherwise seizing neutral shipping
- Deliberately attacking neutral shipping
- Disrupting, destroying, or otherwise preventing the function of navigational aids and other space assets of non-belligerent nations
- Blockading or interdicting neutral ports or critical waterways (such as the Panama or Suez Canals)

This list is far from all-inclusive. His Omniferocity has ordered the Ministry for Pre-Subjugation External Affairs to closely monitor all military activity affecting the Pacific Rim. Nations appearing to interdict or disrupt neutral shipping will be contacted and formally warned to desist. Nations failing to heed the warning will face more stringent measures.

The Dominion will act alone, if necessary, but His Omniferocity is confident that many nations will gladly agree to these rules- the same rules under which the Dominion's military always operates.
