Nazguul Launches First Orbital Weapon Into Space
It is the pleasure of the Ministry of War to announce the completion of it's first Orbital Weapon, Der Fürsprecher Des Teufels. The satellite uses an infrared sensor to detect heat from missile and booster plumes against the earth's backround for defense against missiles. It's weapon is a two thousand pound Ion cannon capable of firing blasts so hot that they're capable of turning solid rock into molten lava. It is also capable of damaging ground to the point of anything blasted in the 1/2 kilometer range is virtually inhabitable.

Sensor Officer Gregor Nietsche noticed a blip rising into space from the nation of Nazguul. "Captain, there's a satelite coming into orbit, preliminary analysis indicates it to be a beam weapon of some kind."
"Notify Ground Control, I'm sure the government will want to know about this."

OOC: You do know that most people will be ignoring this, right? Energy-based weapons from space are dodgy at best, and using them is usually considered godmodding. Hell, the only orbital weapons I have are standard tungsten-coated Rods From God and a few anti-satellite platforms.

Railguns are much more efficient if you're doing it modern, but welcome to your first major step towards being a Space Nation. ^_^

If anyone wants to guide me through the "Non-Godmodding" way to create a space platform weapon, I'll gladly comply and modify it accordingly. I'm going to be creating a space community and a space fleet too quite soon, and I'd appreciate all the help I can get. If anyone wants to help, just TG me or point me to a sticky or board somewhere where I can get some info.
