ANN Special Report - New Fleet Flagship Launched

Nelson Naval Yards, Magna Casa, Aequatio - After twenty-two months of around the clock work, the pride of the Aequatian Navy, the Vanguard Class Battleship, was completed today and launched during a ceremony where President Schaeffer christened the vessel. The warship is scheduled to visit several cities around the country in the surrounding continents, with the President being present for the trip between Nelson Naval Yards in Magna Casa to Scheer Naval Base in Arrio, home to the Aequatian Battleship fleet.

The RNS Vanguard is the first vessel to be named fleet flagship since the retirement of the Devastation Class Battleships earlier this month. The new design of the Vanguard has the largest armament an Aequatian vessel has ever been given and is expected to lead Aequatian warship design for many years to come.

The crew of the Vanguard hastily prepared the ship for the arrival of the delegates from both Estados Unidos Mexican and Whittier for the negotiations that would see the withdrawl of Whittier armed forces from the battered and unstable nation of E.U.M. President Schaeffer stood on the bridge, overlooking the ocean as the large vessel plowed through the waves, we awaited the arrival so the peace process could begin.
