Earlier today a man, who's name has not been released yet, from a foreign nation, was proven guilty of raping a woman while on vaction in Celdrone. No nation has yet to claim him.

OOC: Nobody claim him if you have a population of 1.5 billion or greater.

We claim him as our own. We request that you send him back to us so we can punish him for his crime. The standard punishment for such a crime is life in jail.

That would be the normal policy, yes, but there is a problem. The girl he raped was sixteen, one year under the legal age. The punishment for such a crime is lifetime enslavement on a government work team. Government Work Team (GWT) slaves are forbidden to leave Celdrone upon pain of death. So we will not be sending him back.

We don't believe in slavery since thats cruel and unusual punishment. Is there a way we may propose a trade?

We will trade him to you if you can provide us with a young girl's innocence.

Celdrone, as you well know if you were reading the "woman for sale!!" topic, The Burnsian Desert condemns fiercely the enslavement and trading of human lives. (OOC: You aren't a slave trader, I know, but that's just an outline of my policies.) We will have to ask you to let the man go under a prison sentence in your country for a few years.

I see. You will have no more intervention from us, as AIDS is one of the most disgusting diseases on Earth, a wrath from the gods.

Would like to take this oppurtunity to explain our views on slavery.
We believe that it should only be used as a punishment.
We believe that selling or buying people is not only immoral but profoundly stupid (Spartacus, anyone?).
Only the perpatrators of horrifc crimes, or multiple counts of the same crime, such as four counts of assault, qualify for this punishment.
We do not permit slaves ships or planes to land or dock in Celdrone, if they do the slaves are freed.
