The Premier was a bit worried, his spies had been reporting that Malatoses forces were issuing maps of Coastal CM. Also CM moles around the world were reporting major Malatose movements. Combined with earlier threats, they decided that it would be prudent to go to Defense Level 2 (Def-con 2) and mobilize all armed forces.

Also CM is respectfully requesting that whoever owns the Panama canal denies Malatose the use of it. (We'll pay you to turn him back)


CM is sending a large amount of naval forces steaming towards the southern coast of Argentina because Malatose will have to go around South America to get to CM. Also large forces will stand ready in the event that the Panama canal is not closed to Malatose.

Also CM is activating all of its alliances, the Jackson City Pact, the secret defense agreement with Yerffej, and other defense agreements. CM would also call on other nations to help. Also CM will communicate to Communist Louisiana that it would be bad for CL if CM was hurt by war (enemies could use CM as a base to attack CL) so CL may likely back CM.



But CM won't worry, we're calm, cool, and collected, and we've begun mobilizing our armed forces.

I want to avert any conflict as it simply causes troubles for the civilians who get caught up in the middle of it.

You know what a compromise is? It's where both sides give something and get something. If I just caved to any and all demands, I'd be a sovereign nation in theory only.

I'll agree to #1 and I'll agree to let all natives that were kicked out of the lands to be brought into their lands. We will pay to resettle them back into their lands.

We cannot withdraw our forces as they are needed to protect our colonists.

Bonstocknian Special Services Report on Soviet Malatose Mobilization

According to BSS ground agents operating in Soviet Malatose, the Soviet military has initiated a mobilization process which BSS planners believe is a direct threat to Bonstocknian security. In the first call up, 7 Motorized Rifle Divisions and 5 Armored Divisions have been called up. Composition of those units are currently unknown to the BSS.

In the second call up, 3 Airborne Divisions, Spetnaz units, and aerial bomber forces were called up, the bombers including 1 Tu-160 BLACKJACK regiment and 3 Tu-22 BACKFIRE regiments. Composition of bomber regiments still in question to BSS informants. In addition, 3 more Motorized Rifle Divisions and 4 Armored Divisions were called up.

However, according to sources within the Soviet Malatose military command apparatus, this force does not in anyway threaten Bonstocknian security, and is instead designed to threaten Communist Mississippi, no friend of Bonstock.

The BSS reccommends that the Federal Republic wait and see what develops. We believe that the Soviet Malatose, which have Bonstock's suspicion for aiding the Rebel government during the Great Civil War, is not out to threaten Bonstock, and may be elidgable for Bonstocknian aid in the event of a war with Communist Mississippi, which has on its record numerous civil rights abuses and has no diplomatic relations with the Federal Republic. In the event of a Soviet-Mississippian conflict, the BSS reccomends offering full support to the Soviet Malatose, despite the minor Soviet interferance with the Great Civil War.

Iron blood, matich wont let malatose through gibraltar. Malatose has made it perfectly clear he wants to liberate africa, and matich has extensive holdings in it.

The chellian military has recently mobilized. Large deployments to chellian west africa and mobica are taking place.

OOC:About 600 divisions to each. We recently upped the military, havnt spread them out yet. These were awaiting shipment to torres, or africa anyways.

Premier Fabus's two son-in-laws Gregory Fabus (husband of Eleanor Fabus) and Edward Fabus (husband of Victoria Fabus) are defecting to Malatose. (Note, about their names, the Premier made them change their names as a condition for letting them marry his daughters)

Their wives are staying in CM because they remain loyal to their father.

Gregory and Edward were both involved in the Republican Guard Internal Security Army and they were also both invovled in CM's biological and chemical weapons program. They are arriving via airplane at the main Malatose airport and are declaring their desire to defect and requesting asylum. (I'll RP what information they give you if you accept them)

Parthia is preparing forces in Parthian Egypt, Persia, and Iraq.

CM governor-general Westcott has announced that the muslim insurgents in Libya will be permitted to disarm and return to their homes in peace. Also the 21 million arabs that were kicked out of Libya will be allowed to return to Libya. CM will pay for all of the 21 million libyans to return home, and they will be compensated for their ordeal. (I know real Libya doesn't have nearly this many, but this libya did)

Malatose only has interesting in liberating Communist Mississippi Africa.I have no grudge towards you chellis.

We are most willing to support a Malatose operation against Communist Mississippi. We hear, with great dismay, however, that your ships may not be able to get to Communist Mississippi because of Matich's restrictions on Gibralter and the Suez Canal.

However, we will be most willing to allow Malatose troops to travel on Bonstocknian ships. Bonstock has favorable relations with Matich, and your troops would certainly be allowed in Gibralter flying our flag. If we are attacked for doing so, then we will enter the war on your side.

Premier Fabus issued orders to all CM forces not to provoke a war but to maintain their readiness and keep on the alert. He was talking with Paul Stahlecker (Foreign minister) and telling him "I hope this war business can be avoided, it'd be a ghastly war, awful for both sides."

I said that if we know they're going, there is no risk. If you go unannounced there might be risks. If you go announced we guarantee safety.
