I posted this in the Libyan occupation thread because it relates to Libya because Libya borders Mississippian Egypt.

But I felt that because this was something that might matter internationally, it deserved its own thread. CM is currently looking into what it is calling the "Battleship training accident".
The BB-04 "Curtis Fabus" the first of the Curtis Fabus class battleships built steamed into Alexandria as part of the ongoing process of bullying the local into obeying CM authorities and accepting CM rule. The commander of the ship was captain Gunther Lindemann, however an admiral was also onboard as part of the ceremony and pomp. The admiral was Admiral Ernst Raeder. The ship was basically just to sit a few miles offshore and pummel empty desert just outside of Alexandria with shells to demonstrate to the Egyptian peoples that they were conquered and should obey, or else.
(occ- if somebody wants to try to attack the ship with terrorists, make it realistic or message me first to tell me your idea)
Admiral Raeder wanting to show the Egyptians just how conquered they were decided that the 36 inch guns should be put to the test against the main mosque in Alexandria. There were 5,000 Egyptians praying in the mosque, the clerics were reciting prayers when suddenly nine shells from the 36 inch guns of the Curtis Fabus came crashing into the mosque. What was left was a pile of twisted and burned steel and shattered bricks. There were only 291 survivors.
When Governor Westcott of Libya heard about the incident he was reported to have said, "I'm just glad we've deported our arabs to Ottoman Kaif, or they'd be up in arms about the mosque incident over here as well. I bet Governor Burkhard Rechberg of Missisippian Egypt will have his hands full now." (Mississippian Egypt encompasses Alexandria, Marsa Matruh, Siwah, Damiette, and Tanta, and the lands around them to the Libyan border)
About the people involved:
Captain Gunther Lindemann (36) The captain of the MKM (Mississippian Kriegs Marine) Curtis Fabus, the first of the line of the super battleships of the “Curtis Fabus” class. The captain is a very honorable man, he is a throwback to the old days of chivalry, and he is also reputed to be a womanizer. He is very skilled in naval warfare and is a friend of Premier Fabus and Field Marshal Reginald Smith. He can be reckless at times
Admiral Ernst Raedar (42) Admiral in the MKM. He is a handsome and skilled if somewhat reckless naval officer. He likes to arbitrarily assert his authority and let people know he is in control of them. He had been known to commit terrible atrocities just because in his words, “I could.”
Governor-General Franklin Westcott (32) The governor-general of Libya, friends with Hans Kaltenbrunner. Like Hans he is also very rich, handsome, but he is not very corrupt. He is not as efficient as Kaltenbrunner but he is very hard working.
Governor-General Burkhard Rechberg (51) The governor-general of Mississippian Egypt (Alexandria, Marsa Matruh, Siwah, Damiette, and Tanta) He is a cruel and oppressive man, but he is an economical genius and he is a very well skilled orator.
