I am addressing my fellow nations today because of a cause that I think many of us can relate to: Slavery. Slavery is a practice that is an offense against society itself- treating people as property. It is a heinous act that must be abolished. I realize that the UN has already passed a ban on slavery, and many of our fellow nations have not adopted. I believe we, meaning the culturally advanced nations of the world, should work together to see that this practice is ended once and for all.
