The Republic of Austar Union
Anatoba City, Anatoban International Airport

The Secretary of State had been planning such a tour for a while, and over time, he had gathered many invitations of which he could use to establish and build relations with nations globally. Some nations he was already in relations with, and some, he had never even heard of.

Bidding his family goodbye, Robert Julan turned around to his private diplomatic aircraft. The first stop was the Republic's ally, Hamptonshire. The Hamptonians had been a friend of the Union for some time, but nevertheless, he was willing to open talks with them, to strengthen relations.

Boarding the Jet, he waved at his family from the window. Ten Secret Service Agents also boarded the Jet. Because the Austar Union was of reasonable profile, there would be some out there who would want the Secretary of State dead. Nevertheless, he was joined by his private security team, which would only be an addition to each national security team.

As the Jet taxied to the runway, the Julan family watched, the mother and wife smiling in comfort. This was a regular occurance for the family. It was one thing about Robert which they had to accept. It had caused minor fights in the past, but nevertheless, Heather and the children loved Robert for everything he was. They were sad to see him leave again, but they were also proud of him. He was representing over 1.7 Billion Austarians on the tour, and he would be gone for a while. They were confident in his abilities.

The Jet started down the runway after gaining clearence, and took off with frightening speed. As the aircraft lifted off, it turned and entered air traffic. It would be a reasonable flight to Hamptonshire, but that didnt matter. The Jet was of maximum luxury, and the Secretary of State would be comfortable.

OOC: There are some 20 plus nations to tour, so if you also want a visit from an Austarian Diplomat, please TG me and dont post here. Also, have note that you probably wont get the Secretary of State, but some other diplomat to represent the Union.

---Prince Elector Fredrick IV Royal Air Force Base---
25 miles west of Hamptonshire City

Prime Minister Cessar, Foreign Minister Lord Easton, Congressmembers, an Honor Guard, and HNN television cameras are all waiting to receive the Austarian Secretary of State.

"Are you sure Central Air Command has been notified of his flight plan and pre-authorization?" Lord Easton asked the Prime Minister.

"Of course, his plane has already entered our Airspace. He'll be landing very shortly. Then we can greet him, get him on the chopper, fly him to the Capital, and get him to meet the Grand Duke."

Once Secretary Julan arrived he would be greated at the Base, flown to Hampton Palace, and would join the Grand Duke for a small military review. Then the Secretary would give a short address to the Royal Senate, after which he would begin the private meetings with the Grand Duke and his close advisors. If time would allow, and it almost certainly would, the Secretary would be shown the the best the Capital has to offer.

The diplomatic aircraft touched down successfully, and after several minutes. Robert Julan looked out the port, and he saw the Hamptonian welcoming party as the plane pulled to a halt. Standing to his feet, he prepared to set foot in Hamptonshire.

The doors opened, and five agents exited before him. Stepping out, the light was a slight shock to Mr. Julan's eyes, but soon the adjusted, and he walked out down the walkway to greet the men standing ready.

When Secretary Julan and his five agents left the plane and stepped on the ground, the military band played the anthem of The Republic of Austar Union and the anthem of the Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire.

"Secretary Julan, welcome to Hamptonshire. If you would please join me we'll enter the limos and go off to the Helicopter Pad." the Prime Minister said while motioning to the black limos perfectly lined up along side the Austarian plane.

Once they all entered into the VIP TC-2000 "Madison" Heavy Assault Transport Helicopters, the Foreign Minister began to speak to his Austarian counterpart.

"Mr. Secretary, we'll be arriving at Hampton Palace where you will join the Grand Duke. You will then attend a small military review after which you will join the Grand Duke in a open-carriage ride from the Royal Ducal Palace Complex to the Royal Senate. Then you'll be able to take in the sights of the captial, after which you have a private meeting with the Grand Duke and his advisors." Lord Easton said.

"Secreary Julan, before we land at the Palace, we'll be giving you a fly over of the capital. You'll get to see what life at 17,000 feet is like." the helicopter's pilot said over the intercom.

Robert Julan smiled, looking out the port window, "I have heard much about Hamptonshire, It seems only more beautiful than I have heard, which I would think is virtually impossible. Yet, before my eyes, I see this as true. You Hamptonians never cease to amaze me."

Turning to Lord Easton, he smiled, "You know, we have always had good relations, yet I have not had the privilage to visit Hamptonshire."

"That's not surprising Mr. Secretary. For all our opennness in foreign policy, we are a fundamentally paranoid people. The security of the capital and of the homeland is the first duty of every Hamptonian. If you notice," Prime Minister Cessar says while pointing to the city through a window, "Hamptonshire City itself is walled off, split into eight different sections, and has very little civilian activity. While the city has a population of 1.3 million, only 400,000 of those people are civilians, and most of those work for the various Ministries. At any single moment, 525,000 Royal Army soldiers and Royal Marines guard the capital.[i]"

[i]"Forgive my friend," Lord Easton interjects, "he's had to fight the Royal House of Representatives tooth and nail for the security policies in the capital. I rather like to point out the solid granite cliffs that encircle the city and the large Capital Parks."

"This is your captain speaking, we'll be touching down just outside Hampton Palace in five minutes. Please place all valuable in your overhead compartments..." the chopper pilot says with a laugh.

Just before the aircraft touched down, Mr. Julan pulled the seatbelt across him, clicking it in place. Bracing himself for a possibly rough-like landing, he gulped. He wasnt generally nervouse of flying, but for some reason the landings got to him. Nevertheless, he managed to keep his calm as the plane touched down.

OOC; Ok, now I finally got to post.

The helicopter landed. Waiting for Secretary Julan was the Grand Duke and the Chief of Staff of the Royal Navy, Fleet Admiral Lord Phillip Rosecrans. Meeting the exiting Austarian Secretary of State, the Grand Duke bowed and shook Mr. Julan's hand.

Along with the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, all six men stood rigid while the national anthems of Hamptonshire and Austar Union played before a 21 gun salute.

"If you would join me Mr. Secretary," the Grand Duke said as he motioned to the reviewing stand, "we can review the troops. You are about to see 1,000 people from each of the six branches of the Royal Armed Forces. Afterward we shall get down to business."
