Slaves of the Queen

Queen Aceratzu sat at her throne, mildly amused as she watched several slaves dancing. “You know, eventually, this all gets sameish,” she said, leaning over to one side of her throne, long golden locks falling over her shoulder, “Can’t we bring some in from outside?”

Her advisor, Intracel, son of Imrazel, nodded slightly, “I’m certain that many people would be willing to sell milady, what precisely would you like to get?”

“Something… exotic Intra,” she said, using her clipped form of her name, “we’ve had much the same slave-caste for generations now. So try some other nations…”

“Milady, that could prove to be… dangerous, some peoples have new ideas that would cause them to take objection,” he said, cut off by her interjection.

“Oh just do it, ideals be dammed.”

Shortly later a message was sent out, by radio no less, an imported contraption that they’d begun to understand, a little. The radio made electrickery from sound, and then beamed it through the ether, where it was converted back. Truly a magical marvel.

“Her Greatness Queen Aceratzu, chosen of the Star Gods, requests that those with exotic slaves come to the great city of Sul-town, with a sample of their wares, that new merchandise may be chosen and purchased to entertain her court.”

Jurgen Rosmann, Minister for Criminal Labour finished reading the printout.

"Slaves?" he mused, "I suppose we could supply some...Koer!"

"Herr Rosmann?" replied the secretary.

"Send a fax to the State Prison, and request a hundred mid-level security prisoners to be prepared for long-distance transport"

"Ja, Herr Rosmann"

OOC: A hundred slaves for her majesty. Mid-level being a collection of murderers, rapists and deserters. Perfect for combat games! It's not like anyone will miss them...

Two Days Later

Anáriel nos Menelmehn, MISSION operative, had arrived in Sul-town the day before. Her Elven nature concealed by a low-level polymorph spell (essentially just the ears and eyes, leaving the rest of her appearing a very tall, slender, astoundingly beautiful human), and dressed in local fashions, she wandered the marketplaces and the harborfront watching for any who might take Aceratzu up on her little offer. She had made some effort to blend in, at least for now, reading about local customs on the flight and concealing the technology of her homeland in her shoulder-bag and in various locations on her person... this would, most certainly, be at the very least a very amusing assignment.

Steve looked at the lights of the city of Sul-town from a distance. Why did the Emperor send him to this backwater country? Why not some unworthy servant? If he didnt get a good deal, then he'd be put into a cyborg body and become a slave like those he was guarding. "Hurry up with those crates, boys," he said," or else i'll sell YOU on the slave market!"

The Emperor has sent a trader to sell to the Queen:

300 NS-4 Robot Models
20 NS-5 Robot overseers
1 NS-6 Robot overseer of the overseers.

The Entire package is worth about $1,000,000,000 or 345,000 Norvingtons.
If the Queen doesnt have the money, however, 500,000 of her citizens would suffice.

Encrypted Imperial Communique-

To Her Most Respected Majesty, Queen Aceratzu-
Some important people in the Generian government think they have a solution to your slave problem. However, we have had trouble with such dealings in the past, and we believe that if you keep these dealings in public view, you will encounter the same trouble, for there are many nations who do not take kindly to people willing to deal in this fashion. I think we can make arrangements if we conduct business in a more discreet fashion, out of the eye of those who look down on our trade. The officials who will make dealings with you will operate through a private third party, a smuggler by the name of Igor Slavenska. He will travel to your nation with a small portion of his wares, left-overs from the Generian slave trade that was closed down. Remember, for your own sake, keep your requests discreet.

The four transport choppers touched down four miles from Sul-Town. They each lowered a van to the ground before landing themselves. The armed SS troopers herded the manacled, blue-jacketed convicts into the trucks, and they began the drive.
-------------------------
The column approached a great sandstone arch, covered with glyphs and decorations. HauptSturmführer Obrecht, the commander of the expedition radioed an order to halt before it.
As the leading truck slowed to a hald Obrecht opened his door and lowered himself to the ground. Leaving his troops to see to the prisoners, Obrecht and his translator strode towards the gate.

When word reached the Queendom of the slaves from The New Arayan State, Intracel breathed a sigh of relief, the queen wouldn’t have him executed at least. He had them send a message back to these merchants that they’d accept, and directing them to the open area of ground where foreign metal-birds occasionally landed. The rider went out to the hut where the radios were kept, lest the spirits escape in the palace it was half an hour’s ride away.

Anáriel found, much to her surprise, that she could in fact buy anything she wanted, indeed, she was probably as rich as Intracel himself, though such information was not freely available. Meanwhile, outside the city, her majesty’s guards were busy attempting to understand this strange trader’s prices. Such money was more than they’d ever heard of, and indeed, almost fully a fourth of her majesty’s treasury. Never would the queen agree to that, but they sent a rider to tell Intracel about it anyway.

“Aah! There’s something wrong here!” screamed an operator inside the hut containing the radios.

“What?”

“Listen for yourself,” the radio operator gave the ‘hedsit’ to his superior. The superior tore the hedsit off and looked at the radio operator, and both bolted from the shack, terrified of the wrath of the angry radio spirits. Encryption was far beyond them.

"Ahhh, yes... I do like these primitive nations," Anáriel mused to herself, wandering the bazaars. "The hideously low consumer price index makes for such wonderful bargain shopping." Humming a little tune to herself, she wandered along, spreading a little cash around.

"Hail traveller," someone called out from the gate, and four men, soldiers, carrying ancient firearms much like muskets, strode down from steps to the left. The gate was open, but no one could be seen at first, until eventually, sheepishly, they followed the soldier's lead. The lead soldier, dressed in black, with white trim on his clothes spoke, obviously he was the one who had spoken before, "You're expected. I shall lead you to the palace," he said. If the translator knew enough of the locals, he would recognise this man as the local equivalent of a corpral.

A horsebox sized vehicle pulled up behind the small van convoy and noisily honked its horn. In side a loud hissing could be heard, etched along the side of the black vehicle where etched the words "Dangerous Cargo" The huge sealed doors at the back showd that this was the cas and the walls looked to be over 2ft thick. The Vehicle itself hissed as hydrolics released. A tall blond woman jumped out of the front of the vehicle dressed in ornate purple robes. Closing the door behind her the blacked out windows concealed the driver. She began to pace past the vans snarling at various guards as she moved towards the gates.

"More foreigners..." said the 'corporal,' "I fear two of my men," he gestured, "Must guide you while I see to these."

He walked over to the purple robed woman, "Hail Mistress," he said, rather defferently, the fine clothes had that effect, "Have you too come to answer her majesty's request?"

She smiled curtiously at him analysing his speach.
*Friendly, respecful, timid yet with authority*
With a breif nod of acknowledgement she began her voice like silk, almost elf like.
"I am Avatar Baenre of the hive, we bring creatures to entertain your queen in an arena of combat. We insist that this rabbel is moved out of our way," she indicated the vans "that we may safly transport the creatures housed in our transport." As if to emphasise her point the horsebox shook violently from side to side. "It cannot be unloaded the entire 'contraption' must be moved into the city."
She smiled at him her purple eyes ofsetting nicly against the diamonds hewn into the purple robe she wore.

Obrecht bowed as his translator had instructed him, "Your majesty, I am HauptSturmführer Obrecht of the NAS Schutzstaffel" The translator hurriedly garbled something in the native tounge, "And I bring the greetings of Reichschancellor Holst, and a selection of slaves, which we offer at very competative price"
Obrecht grasped the radio on his shoulder, saying "OberSturmführer Irig?"

"Ja, Herr Obrecht?" crackled the reply, prompting whispers among the surrounding courtiers.

"You may bring our cargo inside the walls"
-------------------------
The natives scattered from the path of the NAS trucks as they rumbled through the streets of Sul-Town.
When they stopped at the gates of Queen Aceratzu's palace, they found a group of confused guards and stablemen stood huddled together.
Irig leapt from the leading truck and walked towards them, lighting a cigarette at the same time. He relished the stares of wonderment that his lighter provoked.

"Feed them oats twice an hour, or they'll bite your legs off" he said to a man, who just smiled back, not understanding a word. Irig held out his lighter, and slowly lit it, extinguished it, and handed it to him. The man stared at the small piece of metal in his hands, then he and his fellows began shouting with one another.

"Stupid tribals" muttered Irig, "Alright! Bring the perps!"

Anáriel tried to hang around the palace... she watched from an alleyway as the NAS trucks rumbled up. "Interesting," she mused, taking notes; she watched carefully as the slaves were unloaded, but did not see any in which Menelmacar would take interest. "Vaguely disappointing," she tought. "But no news is good news, I suppose."

IC:One of the many roving Skaven slave caravans recieved a message of the sale, they had been traveling for a day or two, pushing the warpstone-fueled engines to their limit, when finally, the gates were in sight. when they began to approach, a Master Moulder stood up and addressed the guards
"We are here to-to answer the call for slaves"

OOC: Due to Ratty here being offline, I'll post for him, as I know about his slaves. His race are known as Skaven. Imagine a man, with a rat head, clawed hands, fur, a tail, and ratty feet. Five or so feet tall, 20-25 year life span (That's for healthy ones. Slaves wouldn't live very long) strength and pain barrier around the same as men. Though they are cowardly on their own, numbers make them feel safer, and they become more aggressive if not regularly kicked about. I'm not sure, but he may bring some 'Rat Ogres'. 12 feet tall, ugly as hell versions of normal Skaven. They're barely more intelligent than normal rats, and must be trained to perform any task, save hitting things.

OOC:*makes growling sounds for being responded for*
Oh, there's a muffin man here, now to hunt the ultimate prey....
Oh...sorry, we have more stock than just that....
Skaven:
Life span-20-?, most skaven live to about the time NAS said, but that is for most, not just healthy ones, lords of decay are several hundreds of years old and still tickin
Height-4.5-5.5 is about avverage for skaven.....
Distinguishing features-There rat-men for one, growth rat is almost as fast as normal rats, they have excellent night-vision, have same number of digits on hands and feet as humans, multiply fast, some secret a musk that indicate certain feelings(sad, scared, happy, anger, etc.) while others can control it.....
Psychology-Short version:Paranoid to the extreme, all for number 1, assassination is respected, rear is the honored position, generally untrust-worthy.....
Clanrats Slaves-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/skaven/catalog/images/slaves.gif
Can be armed with..well...whatever is given too them, they lack training, but as NAS said, being in numbers can keep them from retreat, they can do numerous tasks, and are cheap.....

We also have some soldeirs for the regular Skaven Blight armed forces for sale, if interested, just ask....

Giant Rats-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/skaven/catalog/images/giant_rat_pack.gif
Basically, pick up an item, whatever that is, moulder can graft it to an experiment, these are the cheap ones, generally the size of rabbits-wolves, live for 2 years, grow up in a month or two, they sell cheap and in large groups, we also have some females if you want to breed them, but those aren't cheap, custom mutations can be ordered, and will be shipped......

Rat-Ogres-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/skaven/catalog/images/rat_ogres_w_packmasters.gif
These abominations are as diverse as the different things in the world, these critters are generally 6-9 feet tall, can sport even more mutations, grafted items can be placed, these aren't terribly expensive, and can go considerably cheaper(maybe free), if new stock(creature, weapon, etc.) was bartered, live about normal skaven life, usuall a few more years, there are also clan specific Rat-Ogres......

Spawn of Chaos-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/hordesofchaos/catalog/images/spawn_box.gif
Generally a failed experiment, but not without uses, can be an amazing creature if contained properly, these are common, thus cheap......

A fungus that somehow grew into a...walking stomach with teeth, very dangerous, but can be domesticated, specific colors and de-toothing can be orderd.......

Myr-
That little race of robots from MtG aren't safe from the Master race either......

We also sell-
Humans(we recentley got a shipment of 30 million), Dwarves, Lizard Men, Goblins, and more that I currentley can't think of.....

Everything can be custom orderd(mutated, domesticated, come with special stuff(musical equipment, weapons, etc.), colored, etc.)

Sturmann Ferber eyed the Imodian crates. They had been making noises all afternoon.
Cautiously, he approached one, and the rattling stopped. Instead he heard a distinctive clicking sound, obviously made by the animal inside. It was breathing in sharp intakes of air, by the sound. Suddenly, the thing inside launched itself at the side of the crate and Ferber fell backwards over his own feet in surprise. He landed on his rifle, which hurt.
One of the Imodian handlers strode towards him, grabbing Ferber by an arm and hauling him to his feet, all the while berating him in some odd language.
Once Ferber was back on his feet, the Imodian pushed him away and drew a steel rod with several wiry parts from his belt. The man thrust it into a small gap in the top of the offending crate, rewarded by a chittering shriek.
Ferber had seen enough of this, and spent the remainder of the day in a truck.

Tyranids-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tyranids/catalog/images/art/tyrant.gif
Captured from some bio-ships and unleashed on a slave colony, it was a success, all the slaves died and a new hive sprung up, we have only a few of the more evolved organisms, Currentley we are beginning to start cloning them, we have to see if any..unfortunate side effects occur.

Termagaunts-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tyranids/catalog/images/hormie.gif
The most basic organism, usually born with a short ranged weapon, these can be renderd useless(simailar to spading and nuetering) so they are safe, unless they aren't domesticated, then they attack with teeth and claws....

Hormagaunts-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tyranids/catalog/images/termie.gif
Always equipped with a close combat weapon, they can be de-clawed/fanged, and domesticated, very fast, generally animalistic when not within range of a synapse creature.....

Genestealer-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tyranids/catalog/images/genestealers.gif
These creature have an intersting way of reproducing, but I'm too tired to write it all, lets say, they can genes from host and latter on will look more and more like the parent host, their upper claws can peirce adamtanium, while the lower ones, can function doors, or be used to climb.....

Tyranid Warriors-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tyranids/catalog/images/warriors.gif
They act almost like a tyranids version of officers, relaying the Hive Minds commands to the lesser creature unable to pick it up, they are ferocious, usually upper arms are close combat orientated, while lower is ranged, it's not unheard of pure close combat warriors, these are the easiest to train, as they contain enough intelligence to understand orders quickly......

Tau-
Povided from an alliy who is chaos tau, and from an allied region's member.....

Enslaved Fire Warriors-
http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tau/catalog/images/firewarrior_squad.gif
These are the mainstay fighters, good shots, loyal, make good body guards or snipers, can come with custom equipment, or the items shown.....

Slivers-(these are also not in the caravan, but can be ordered)
Another MtG race has been created through experiments with Aliens(from the movie)
Stats:
Toxin Sliver: Toxins secreted in many locations on body, able to eat through all known materials, creatures/objects exposed to toxins dissolve in minutes-1 square foot per 15 seconds
Crypt Sliver: the more slivers, the quicker the regeneration, 1
sliver = 2 square inches regenerated, N/A against poison.
Spectral Sliver: able to become “mist”, basically invinsible to all except heat, wind(vacums or good ol’ breezes)

Heart Sliver: Increase speed up to 80 miles per hour
Magma Sliver: raises local temp., become bullet/laser/heat resistant, able to secret “magma” in small quanities
Hunter Sliver: able to detect non-slivers (regardless of concealment mode, force, pheromones, invisibility, it doesn’t matter)
Blade Sliver: every 20 gives +1 on penetrating strength

Plate Sliver: every 20 gives +1 on skin hardness
Essence Sliver: like Crypt Sliver, only can regenerate corpses, N/A if the body isn’t in this plane, is at atom composition, or scattered more than 5’
Talon Sliver: Able to increase claws length up to 5’ long or shrink it to microscopic sizes

Quick Sliver: Just a regular sliver, doesn’t give abilities
Root Sliver: Able to burrow up to 3 miles underground
Brood Sliver: If a sliver consumes 1 square foot of flesh, it will “crap” out a Quick Sliver
Muscle Sliver: gives +1 to armor penetration and skin strength

Mistform Sliver: Changes shape, fools all scanners except DNA
Shifting Sliver: becomes “ethereal”, it becomes corporeal 15 seconds before/after an attack.
Winged Sliver: Sprout 2 wings(duh)
Synapse Sliver: Turns victim into a “vegetable”, the slivers are able to process all thoughts/memories of victims

Warrior Queen: Field Queen, limited control*
Praetorian Queen: Hive Queen Guard, have control over Warrior Queens*
Hive Queen: Overall commander, second only to the Hive Mind*

Overlord: The elite guard, agents of the Hive Mind, able to override all orders not given by Hive Mind directley.

Hive Mind: like the zerg’s overmind, no real body

*able to lay eggs
Armor table(Armor penetration is the same, only 1 can penetrate steel, etc.)
1-steel
2-titanium
3-diamond
4-space ship metal

"Wait the Skavern? didn't they almost completely vanish after the fall of civilization in that horrid civil war?" The Grand Duke of the United Duchies asked looking up from his morning breifing papers.

"Yes sir, they did...infact some vanished into the Klatch with a traitor. At the same time ZZap finally fell." Nathan Black answered. He was attempting to look inconspicous in the large ornate drawing room. Hard considering his body type, he might have done better in the Old Gallery with it's numerous bronzes but here he just stood out against the white wood paneling and wedgewood trim.

"So where are these creatures from?" The Duke asked...

"Unknown sir, but it appears that there is some slavery going on..." Black replied.

"Find out more now..."

"Yes your Grace..."

Aceratzu watched the Arayan man with some interest. She smiled, and nodded a little, “Excellent,” she said, “I thank both you and your reich’s chancellor for doing me such honour.”

The palace itself was a large ziggurat like structure, without doubt the oldest thing around, and paradoxically, the best designed. Modifications had been made over the centuries, to make it less of a temple and more of a palace, but the highest peak remained a shrine to the Star Gods. Around the base of the ziggurat were a series of beautiful murals depicting the mythology of Tnechat. The first in the series showed life being borne on a falling star from the heavens. Later, images of a god – one of many – walking among them, and then his servants, silver humanoid figures carrying elaborate staffs, until at last there were no more visits.

In driving there, people became less worried about the trucks, eventually figuring that they’d not harmed anyone at the gate, they weren’t exactly dangerous as long as you kept out of the way.

Similarly, the Skaven representatives were waved through to the palace quickly and it was suggested that they read their… apparently long… list of wares to the queen. Her majesty sat on a fairly elaborate gold-leaf throne, below a large icon, depicting a crescent moon above a sun, with assorted lines off it representing rays of light. She was at this moment watching as her lieutenant wrote a reply to the giltherani for her to sign.

“You appear not to understand our ways foreigner, for many generations have the people of tnechat been slaves, all of them, to some degree or other, and you must know that even I am such, though it is my place to direct others, we are all property of the gods, eventually. Quite what you think you will achieve by such measures is beyond me.

As for the prosperity of the nation, what precisely do you think they’re doing now?”

She signed it and let him take it away. Then she blinked at Obrecht, “Fight?” she said, “Why would I want them to fight? It’s always very wasteful.”

She didn’t quite understand the concept of gladiatorial combat, and would have been quite appalled at the barbarism of such things. Tnechati didn’t believe in violence, with the exception of when demanded by religion, or to a lesser extent, in correcting deviant behaviour.

"If your majesty wishes" replied Obrecht, "none of the slaves need die. I suggest a simple exhibition of ability. Surely a competition between our slaves and those of the other traders here would be quite a spectacle?"

The convicts brought by the NAS probably weren't any good for much else.

My nation(plus several allied nations) are true skaven, I was never around to see if other skaven civillizations existed, my region hasn't suffered a civil war, as the Horned Rat has dictated us in a manuscript buried somewhere in my nation.....

@Menelmacar or is it Tnechat, I'm confused over who is running this place
It would probably be a bad idea to have NAS's slaves, and my slaves fight(mine have lots of sharp teeth and bio-stuff)

IC:Master Moulder Iskritt was listening to this, wondering if anything could be sold, maybe.....

After the NAS trader gave his slaves for free, Iskritt tried to think of something that would please her......lacking ideas, he would let her decide...

In the back of the truck, guarded by six SS officers and wearing solid steel shackles, sat a man. His face was hidden by a black bag over his head. "AAAAAAAAAAARGHSHITYOUBASTARDI'MGONNARIPYOURHEADOFFANDPISSDOWNYOURNECK!" yelled 'Butcher' Klinsmann, convicted for ripping apart a business rival with a bread knife, as the skaven's claws dragged across his face. He lunged for the creature, blundering around and blinded by the blood in his eyes. It darted around him, but he didn't notice. A sweeping kick to the backs of Klinsmann's knees felled him, and he was quickly knocked out by an elbow to the back of his head. The skaven merchants smirked at the SS.
The unconcious form of Klinsmann was dragged from the ring of vehicles by two SS officers, to be replaced by another man, shackled and blindfolded. The officer in charge led him into the ring with a pistol drawn, and began unlocking the man's restraints. Once they were off, he quickly removed the blindfold and walked back to his truck, he watched the perp constantly on the way.
The man slowly unbuttoned his jacket, removed it and tied it around his waist. He was not heavily muscled, but there was no fat on him. His head was shaved, and as he began to warm up the onlookers could see a black dragon tattoo over his back.
Taking one final breath, he assumed an oriental fighting pose. The skaven, still high on adrenalin from it's last fight rushed toward him. A fist shot towards his head, only to be caught in a palm. The man twisted, shoving the creature to the ground, then delivered a vicious heelkick to the skaven's elbow. It shrieked in pain as it's arm shattered, the pale bone clear against blood-flecked fur.
He let it's arm drop, then returned to the NAS side without a word. The only sound was the burbling sobs from the crippled rat-man.

At the mentioning of this name the slaves fled for their quarters, a shuffleing noise was heard and a....fuzzy Squig was urgerd foreward by Snikkit.
"Go on, there's some food stupid"
The squig fell upon the skaven sorpses and devoured them.

Looking particularly regal in a long set of dark green robes, the Queen approached the skaven caravan, trying not to look too disgusted at the ratmen guarding the area, and apparently serving as her honour guard. She immediately strutted over to the pack master, her eyebrow raised a little, "So, trader," she said, "What curious and exotic things do you have for me?"

She smiled broardly, "Preferably something pretty or something very unusual," she added hopefully, like a little girl hoping for a treat.

The Emporer looked out of the window of his royal limoseen, the first thing he noticed had been the primitive (Aut is slightly future tech) airfeild, and the second the arcutecture and the way the pesents(SP) gazed at his car. Whats wrong with them? Have they never seen a car before? He guessed not, the roads here where not as smooth as those at home and where odviusly not designed for cars.
His royal robes where being creased, and the journey was taking a long time, in the front there guide chattered to his driver. He switched his translator on and noticed that the guide had his on too.
"How much further?" He incurired.
"A few hundred meters sir." His driver replyied. They rounded a corner and saw it, a town, larger than the village they had passed but smaller than Aust city, ahead of them. There guide told them to stop and unload there slaves. they did so and the Emporer palpatine the fourth waited for the emergence of this nations Emporess and, hopefully his future bride.

@Aust-yes, but captured races may use their own technology, underfunded groups may be useing non-"upgraded" weaponry, but yes, warpstone is used on almost everything. As for tech level, I have 2 halves that don't interact with each other, modern and future(although modern is 2000-2020)

@Tnechat-ok, I was a bit nervous mentioning the last two, as someone was an elf earlier, but yes, we have those also, as for Necrons, now pictures and videos with signs saying coming soon(there's an RP going on currentley deciding this), as for Tau, all the Castes are here, including Ethereals, as my friends Tau don't believe in Ethereals(spelling?)....

Then we have the more animalistic races, Tyranids, Squigs, Slivers, Zombies, some Builders Children(If you played thief, you'd know, a friend sold me some, they're basically robots), and then custom ordering things is at the end" He said while walking up to the first cart, inside were several Tau with their Kroot.

"These Tau, are pretty good artists and poets, while trained can become excellent bodyguards and maeksmen, the Kroot, more of a barbaric race, these creatures are able to evolve through eating the slain, they take on characteristics, color, size, facial features, sometimes wings"

Aceratzu smiled and peered through the bars of the cage at the Tau, the almost avian air-caste Tau appearing to have some difficulty, in the high gravity, as it’s not especially good for a sub-species used to living entirely in air and especially space vehicles, grabbed her eyes almost immediately, and she extended her hand towards the cage, “I want some of them for sure,” she said.

Abruptly, the Queen snatched her hand back as a Kroot reached out to try and tear it off, before being waved aside by the Ethereal in the cage. One of the guards levelled a musket at the offending birdlike creature, and prepared to fire. The queen looked at him and interjected, “No,” she said. Several courtiers gathered a little closer to the cage to observe the Eldar and elves, even as several guards opened the other cage, guns carefully trained on the kroot, who had seemed to be by far the more threatening species, “Out!” barked one of the non-commissioned officers, pointing to the Ethereal,

The Caravan finally reached an area sutible for parking. Steve and 4 others, along with an NS-4 in the trunk, jumped into their Hover-jeep and drove to see the other slaves and to see, if not the queen, then one of here royal advisors. Steve looked at the Slaves from the Horned Rat mostly with disgust. Why would aqueen even THINK about having such hideous creatures in her domain. Besides, goblins died easily, robots lasted for at least 300 years. He also Drove past the Aryan States slaves, and looking at the Swastikas brought even deeper disgust and hatred. But he was forced to contain it. While he and his robots could certainly deal with this small group of soliders, he didnt want the empire to be involved in a great war because of his opinions.

The caravan finally reached the Palace Gates. "Alright Boys" Steve said, lets see if we can introduce the queen to an age of prosperiety."

Realisng that the price may be to high, and because the Empire is going thru an economic boom, the Emperor Decided to lower the robots pirces to 300 NS-4s, 20 NS-5s, and one NS-6, to a price of $450 million, or 10,000 citizens.

One of my fighter aces would like to take part in a gladitorial aerial combat to amuse your queen. He will be in a customized F-16D (with 1000 rounds for the 20mm multibarrel cannon and then 24 AIM-120 AA missiles).

About the fighter ace

Colonel Herman Von Thaller (35) The most well known and the greatest fighter ace in CM. Has 394 aerial kills to his credit and 618 kills if you include aircraft he’s destroyed that were on the ground (224). He is a dashing, daring, adventurous, and handsome “Fly boy”. He has taken part in the war in Egypt, Libya, and other places. His nickname is “Hans” (Nobody really remembers how he got his nickname, but he is friends with Hans Kaltenbrunner, and people always got them mixed up, so now people just call both of them Hans because it is easier) In one battle Thaller shot down 8 MiG-29s, 8 Mirage F1s, 4 F-16s, 4 F-14s and 112 MiG-21s. He is always in his custom F-16D that is painted to look like a threatening shark. His usual armament is 1000 rounds for the 20mm cannon, and 12 or 24 AIM-120 AA missiles.

Keeping synapse creatures is an even bigger mistake - you would attrack the entire hive to attack you - Also the hive mind knows your exact location thus.

"Holy s..."
"Loo..."
Left and right the skaven fell.

The master mould who was a distance away saw this
"Time to die you mother-f*****s"
He pushed a button, detonating the last 2 carts, effectivley killing 2 more skaven boxcars, but more importantley, the enemy carriage was completley covered in warp-fire, shrapnel, acid , and disease from the dead mutants. The rest of the creatures were free, all attacking a common foe, all the squigs died, the tyranids were also killed, but 4 Hdra flak cannons simply shot through the roof of their carriage, unleashing tens of tenthousands of warpstone rounds. A Tau rail Cannon drew a bead on the avatar an prepared to fire..but took a plasma round, reducing it to goo. 20 Stormvermin fired Warpstone/gauss rifles at the avatar, disregarding saftey, non-stop beams were fired. The eldar and elves made a break for it, while their dark opposite pursued them. Tau rail guns fired round after round at what little was left, warp-fire throwers incinerated the area......
(Most guns fireing at the avatar would choose different targets if the blast didn't kill her, oh, those two blasts, have the strength of demolisher shell)

BTW, I think this is future tech, sorry forgot that, you don't even exist, as for tyranids, bugs from warpatone, as for warpstone-meteorites from space(Which is exactley where they come from in warhammer)
EDIT:There are also other people, I don't think this places people would stand Idle while giant bugs attacked on of their queens (visiting, and foreign)merchant...

Well, this was a nice RP, until someone had to go and f*** it up.....

OOC: Hive Fleet Imodius, if you're going to wage war on Horned Rat, please do it in another thread. With regard to this thread, I'm assuming you're going to finish up with the caravan and then fade off into the night again. Tnechat and I have some plans OOCly, and a Tyranid attack will only screw them up.

IC:

Anáriel watched shocked as the carnage unfolded....

 <-- Something like this.

In all the chaos, though, she was completely unnoticed, and taking up a position near her fleeing kin she took cover and drew her plaspistol, firing precisely aimed shots at the Fallen (the dark eldar). There were not many, and she had dispatched them fairly quickly, before beckoning the fleeing elves and eldar behind a fallen carriage and down an alleyway, to safety.
The Horned Rat

uumm Problem, there are less elves and eldar(only 10-20 both grouped together), the dark eldar and dark elves are armed and number 40-60 together. And pretty much all of HFI stuff is meatgrindings now(unless some Planet sized shield appears[end/sarcasm]) then the caravan held, at a heavy cost, but it held.....

Confusion for the small group initial investigations ahd thrown an... unusual spin on the matter of slaves here. All the people seemed to regard themselves as Slaves, a cultural anamoly that had the eight lay low and watch.

They had watched the various caravans arriving laden with 'merchandise' electing to for now simply observe those that would respond to the queens request. After all even if the people of this land had an unusual approach to the matter it seemed likely that those answering her call did not, and it would be those people perhaps that they would turn their attention.

Then chaos erupted fighting and explosions the Eight Elves pulled into cover, and quickly hid under the cover of a Globe of Invisbilty, watching as the fighting erupted. For now there seemed little they could do, as adept as they where they where not an Army, Nor would they have likely altered events armed with the little knowledge they currently had, no for now they simply watched, and slowly realised they might not be the only observers.

"Probably not sir."
"She's pritty though, bring her here."

IC: 40 men of his highness bodyguard took off in there jeeps that had followed the limosean. They rounded a corner bringing them to face the exit of the ally. With the jeeps guns pointing down the ally, one of them shouted at the elf. "Oi, elfgirl, come here. Or we'll shoot you, his highness wants to have a word."

The moans of the dying skaven and their property alike were heard in the market. Many were climbing into defensive position(since HIF hasn't responded, I assume everything there is dead) and destryoing whats little left of the corpses. The master moulder, sporting a broken arm, shuffled up into his private car. opening the door, he startled many little tiny abominations that crawled, slithered, or scampered into the shadows. He smashed the cabinet open, too angry to open it, and grabbed the skalm, rubbing the ointment on his wounds, they were quickly healing. Elsewhere, the caravan weapons were deployed, all ready at a seconds notice. One group of skaven slaves broke for it, while the Hydra Flak cannons made sure nothing got away 25 yards, needless to say, those slaves ceased to be here.
The Fangleader was bellowing at the mouldervermin,
"All right, we have some run aways, we are to hunt them down, you shall be employing some kroot to track them, the elves and eldar are taken care of, their counter parts had them on the run(or so they thought), in the confusion, a large number of humans escaped, are job is to track them down, you shall all be given a peice of paper with their branding mark on it(Its like an upside down triangle on the middle of their chest, as they aren't wearing shirts(some lack the scraps that are called "pants") it would be easy to identify. The cart near the front disgorged its compliment of 40 Mouldervermin, and the hunt was on. 5 groups were sent to ask the other caravans if they had seen them, of the groups, 2 headed to NASs caravan, 3 headed to Austs caravan. 2 Groups headed to the last sighting of the dark ones.(Oh, BTW, a group is 10 Mouldervermin, and two kroot)

Steve was furiously driving back to the Caravan. This carnage was not at ALL good for buisiness. In the cross fire of bullets and stones and other manners of weapons, one of his men had fallen. He also saw how the Skaven were attacking the other caravans, so he assumed that his was soon to be hit. "Caravan, do you read me, over?" He Radioed "Roger, S41" came the reply.
"Whats the situation there? The skaven are attacking people all over the city."
"Skaven? You mean those little rat things?"

ooc> As a titan killer round does not kill a carnifex 2 demolisher rounds will just about scratch it. I also have a barbed heirodule - big nasty buggers - like a carnifex on speed and steroids.
Sorry about lack of reply - I do have a job

ic> The warpstone rounds where simply absorbed by the sheild increasing its strenth and the particles where broken down and became energy. The avatar stood atop the scortched truck and poured fire into the enemy forces. One of the carnifex fell under the fire of warpstone its flesh bubeling under the raw influence of the warp - a second was coverd in the acid and disease from the explosion and so its regenerative structure was working overtime to keep it alive - it had perhaps 30 minutes to cause as much damage as possible - looking over the carnage the avatar activated a deep set synaptic catalyst driving the 2 remaining creatures into overdrive - their movements became blurred as they scythed into a mob of Skaven with their massive rending claws.

OOC:You know the warpstone would mutate them, thus killing them, they wouldn't regenerate, as for the gauss weapons, they can go though shields ya know, and I think the hierodule would have died from over 1,000,000,000 bullets going into it, each a waprstone round, you also have rail cannons(That can easily crack a warpshield, the tau even suggest it), rail rifles, and so many guns all shooting.....

IC:The slaves were being butured left and right, their warpstone mutated bodies releasing more toxic materials on their killers. This time the Mouldervermin utilized a special grenade, set to detonate on impact, these open a temporal rift into the warp, sucking the unfortunate into 1-space, 2-the dominon of the warp-entite(more specifically, the god, The Horned Rat). Over 20 grenades were thrown at the avatar, the rest were hurled into the slave butcher...

OOC:
I however, am Tnechat. (Cue classic Spartacus scene) And from this point forward, Tnechat's 6,000,000 population can be counted as part of the overall count for The C'tan.

@ Communist Mississippi : These people don't have much knowledge or flight, they think it's magic. They're quite primative, 1700s era at best. Arial Combat over the nation is a Bad Idea™. Queen Aceratzu is a human, if however you mean race as in ethnicity, no specific ethnicity dominates Tnechat, and the queen herself is what you would describe as Mediterranean. As for what nationality, one would expect that to be kind of obvious, she's Tnechati. About 19, Aceratzu is quite young, having recently inherited the throne from her father. She's mildly good looking, but not stunning and given that Tnechat has not exactly got a custom of free love, at least not compared to most modern, westernised, nations - compared to that period in RL history, yes they have - he's probably best going elsewhere.

@ Psycotic Drummers : Scruffy guards? Pah. I'll have you know they have very nice uniforms, especially the officers.

@ Hive Fleet Ismodius & The Horned Rat : Err. What the...? Though to be fair, the Dark Elves and Eldar were mentioned beforehand, true.

The Hive Mind might go after a bunch of synapse creatures, but the first thing they'd send is Genestealers.

And, for reference, tyranids can be separated from the hive, as long as it's the genestealer genus. Which is what I'd say these are. Also, a personal shield will not protect you from a railgun. The law of conservation of momentum still applies, the overall momentum after the collision must remain. In other words, the generator module would become a projectile and be punched through the avatar, or the whole Avatar would be shot high into the air. It's dead. Yes. This applies to 40K void shields (AKA warp shields).

As for fighting because the other ones have the nerve to enslave tyranids, if you're doing this because the hive wants you to, do remember that the hive mind considers its individual creatures to be about as valuable as you consider individual cells in your body. I for my part would be quite happy to take nids into the nation knowing that they're acting as a beacon for the hive.

@ Aust : I'm afraid Anáriel is indeed disguised, it would be more logical if your emperor {teenage hormones and all} decided he wanted her based purely on her good looks.

---------------------------------------------

"Gods," the queen muttered as all hell broke loose. It took her about half a second to come to a decision. Run, run quite fast.

She was momentarily put off by her elves running off, and a large group of the far less attractive ones pursuing them. Aceratzu stopped at the gatehouse and panted heavily, trying to catch her breath. A few of the soldiers paused and turned, some snapping off shots. Intracel was there, and after a brief glance at the queen, ordered them to fire on the dark-elves. At the same time, Aceratzu ducked around the corner to avoid any retaliation, and her minister joined her in doing so.

One the simple advantages of having a group such as this was that they could pool skills, and this they did, no words needed to be exchanged, they acted as if it where as natural as breathing.

First striding out of the Field of Invisbility was the Bladesinger, taking a central position in the street he looked towards the fleeing former merchandise and smiled. Speaking simple words of ctivation under his breath his voice boomed across the streets.

'I have been angered End this Fighting NOW. or face my wrath.' His voice reaching unnatural loudness.
As he spoke behind him hidden inside the Globe his comrade worked quickly, casting a spell that plced over their leader an illusion so that to those watching looking it seemed that the formally Elven shape twisted and grew huge claws ripping from what was suddenly no longer hands, a popping sound could be heard as joints where unnaturaly moved, a Growl came from the man, who was suddenly far from elven. Wings Sprouted from his back, as the 'Elf' took on a decidely Golden appearance, where formally stood an Elf to all those looking seemed to stand an Ancient Goldern Dragon towering over most of the surronding buildings...

Of course none of this was real, but observers would find few clues to this fact as the Bladesinger slipped away under the cover of his own invisbilty, nodding in pride at the work of his subordinate.

As for comments on enslaving Tyranids,
1-The player I got them from, doesn't follow WH40K exactley, he says he's a different hive mind all by itself
2-I made a bargin with them, I help spread there organisms, they give me some recources

As for the fleeing elves,
1-Are thr elves that bought fleeing with mine? You didn't by them all, these were ones still in the cart, and I sent the dark space elves(with horrible equipment) after mine

As for the Warp-lightning makeing your Warp shield stronger,
1-You are correct, it does make it stronger, but, it would pass through it, warp energy wouldn't stop other warp energy, mearly make it stronger, so yeah, better shield, but now the energy hitting the avatar is dtronger(despite the rail-cannon killing it as someone said earlier)

Anáriel, meanwhile, led the freed Elves out of the city once more, by another gate. She had called for a dropship, and one had come, landing several kilometers distant, and the MISSION agent guided her charges through the forest towards it. Once they were safely aboard, they would be taken back to Menelmacar, where they would either be considered refugees or repatriated back to their homelands.

Anáriel watched as the dropship lifted off once more, ceasing its ascent just barely above the treetops, before moving quickly away, skimming the landscape so as to minimize the risk of being seen. Anáriel turned and made her way back to the city, grinning... her plan had been accepted, and the dropship commander had relayed the message back, that certain... arrangements had been made for the following day. Joyous, she sang softly to herself as she sauntered back under the ancient trees.

The latter was probably not likely, seeing how the price had been lowered considerably. But the former seemed all to likely. Very few people knew what a car WAS, and even fewer knew how to drive one. Having a mechanised humanoid walk in their streets would probably cause a heart attack for everyone who watched them. Seeing it talked would probably finish off the rest. His mind was made up, he would send one last plea to the queen, and if it wasnt acknowledged, he was going home.

The NS-6 comes equiped with everything you need, and more. With 10 times the strength of a human being, a group of maybe 5 NS-6s is alll that you wil need to do baisically all of you heavy lifting. They are also bulletproof and come with .44 calibur bullet shooting fingers. The ones designed Specifically for Fightning have miniguns build into their hand, and grenade launchers under their arms. They Follow the Three Law of LS Robotics, different from those of Isaac Asimov.
1. A Robot must protect Allied humans at all costs.
2. A robot must never disobey a direct order.
3. A robot must protect itself as long as it doesnt interfere with laws 1 and 2

The missile streaked through the air and into the palace, easily punching through the ornate brickwork and plastering, blasting glass and wood apart in a small firestorm and leaving a deep green metal, glowing softly, at one end of the building. Panic swept through the building at this unprovoked attack.

IC Confusion reigned amongest the group of observers, the fighting seemed to have died down when they saw first the streak of flame and then the explosion Sinestran Cleric of the Seldarine and if the Three in One specifically looked shocked and then looked desperatly at the others with a nod he was off. Follwed by Jarvis and Orin who would protect their friend. The Three of them raced to the palace, the invisibilty had already faded of course. As Thgey neared a group of official looking gentlemen Sinestran shouted out to them 'I'm a Trained Medic I came to help with any wounded.'

It seemed easier than explaining how he healed people.

IC: The Emporer ran out of the palace, secretly happy at the damage and panic that the missile had caused. He ran over to the the Emporess, "How could this happen!" He exclamed, faking shock. "I assure you your Highness that I shall do all I can to stop anything like this happening again, however unfortuntly I do not have any buisness sending Aust troops and machinery to protect a nation Aust has no intrest in. The only way I could do anything to help would be to have some Austian royal relations, through marrage, to your nation. If that happened of course, I could send a lot of men to protect your nation and rebuild. Alas, I only have my bodyguard to help now."

"Unless you take action to stop it whoever is the agressor nation will carry on attacking your nation."

He turned away, running to pretend to help a injured man.

25-07-2004, 22:01
It's probably about a little under a day after the firefight at the slavers' camp, and it's around noon, the sun high in the sky. The queen is, for her part, lounging on the balcony of her palace, sipping some local drink and almost sunning herself, still perplexed by the recent attack on her palace. Mercifully casualties were very few, no one was killed, the ballroom that had been hit was unoccupied at the time, and some minor cuts and bruises were all that had been suffered. There is a low rumble, though a remarkably quiet one for the circumstances, as a vast shadow falls over the city. Aceratzu looks up into the sky, in more than a little surprise, and just about everyone else does likewise. What she sees is incredible, and probably for her almost incomprehensible... a vast thing of some kind hangs in the sky above, not much under a mile long... massive yet elegant and graceful, all reds and blacks and golds in the most vibrant possible hues, decorated with intricate detailing and some sort of flowing script... it must weigh many hundreds of thousands of tons, yet simply hangs there, somehow defying gravity...

She's seen quite a few weird things today, but this is much more incredible than them. Fortunately she does have an explanation, simply that it's a ship of the gods, quite well recorded in their mythology, a similar, though larger, not that she knows that, ship heralded the arrival of a god.

She doesn't have to wait long, though, as a bolt of lightning strikes directly on the balcony itself, lancing down from a cloudless blue sky, leaving nothing resembling a burn in its place, but when the light fades... ...someone is in its place. Aceratzu flinches, and scurries backwards on all fours, utterly terrified. Scared witless in fact.
Before her is what appears to be a woman, tall, graceful, closer to seven feet tall than six, and even still floating a few inches above the ground, seemingly for no reason save that she can. She is astoundingly beautiful, slender, statuesque, her features almost sculpted... if her ship is a work of art, she is a masterpiece.

Beautiful, yet terrible, her eyes glowing with a warm red light, long golden hair flowing down from her head, and out of it pokes a pair of delicately pointed ears. She is dressed in a robe of shining white, with golden trim; her robe and hair wave and blow in an ethereal wind Aceratzu cannot feel, and she is bathed in a glow of light that seems to come from everywhere, and yet nowhere.

Aceratzu peeps up from where she's curled up in a little terrified ball, and a look of awe also crosses her face, and she looks down at the ground by Sirithil's feet respectfully. Sirithil looks around a bit. "So... this is Tnechat," she says; her voice is gentle, yet regal, and seems to have just the right amount of echo to project an impression of great power. The queen replies, but her answer is stuck in her throat for a moment, and when she actually does speak, there's a combination of fear and adoration in her voice, "Yes... Rianah..."

Sirithil nods, the slightest of smiles curling one edge of her lips; she seems to approve. "And what is your name, child?" she asks. "Acerratsu..." she says, her pronunciation a little off, "Rianah," she says, still looking at Sirithil's feet, the quiver in her voice fading a little. Sirithil nods again. "Aceratzu," she repeats. She knew this already, of course, Anáriel had reported it to her. "Sathsarrion told me I would be pleased with the gift of this place and its people," she says. She glances to Aceratzu, looking for any hint of recognition of the name.

She nods a little, the fear fades a little at this claim, as she knows that name as belonging to her god, and doesn't question what Siri says, "Then I hope we can please you Rianah, we shall certainly do so as best we can..." Sirithil nods. "I am glad of this. I am the Star Goddess Sirithil," she says, introducing herself, and knowing her name has an alternate meaning in necrontyr, a language Aceratzu is evidently familiar with. "And I have high expectations of my people, but the rewards are equally great."

She nods a little, uncurling and kneeling up, gaze still lowered though. She knows a little necrontyr, enough to understand that, and nods a little. She's rather glad to have a goddess around again in any case, and isn't much bothered that it's a different one. "Thank you Rianah," she says, "We shall do our best to achieve whatever goals you set your humble servants." Sirithil smiles, bending down a little; she places a finger under Aceratzu's chin and raises her head a little to look up at her, and her touch is a warm and pleasant feeling. "I'm pleased with you," she says gently. "You are a fine and devoted servant, and will lead my people well..."

Her gaze is still lowered for a moment as Siri tilts her chin up, but a moment later she looks up, with an expression of both awe and love, "Thank you Rianah," she says, "I shall try to serve you as best I can."

Sirithil nods. "Very well... I shall hold you to it, but if I am greatly pleased, I will see to it the Tnechati prosper greatly. In fact, there is one thing you can start on right away." She turns to gaze out over the city, towards the slaver camp, then back at Aceratzu. Another flash, though not an outright lightning bolt, and two other women appear, one is Anáriel, her disguise having now been shed, and the other is Fëaelen nos Ancalimë.

"These are two of my servants," she says, "They are of a people known as Elves, who are very dear to me; so much so I have taken their form. Honour the Elves, Aceratzu, and give them every courtesy when they come to you."

Aceratzu nods, a little worried about the fact that she'd tried to buy some very similar looking people before, but she suspects that her Rianah knows this anyway, and the fact that she still breathes is proof of Sirithil's benevolence and forgiveness. "I shall," she says, suppressing the involuntary look of fear that crosses her face.

"People have come to you selling slaves, have they not?" she asks.
Aceratzu nods, "Sa Rianah," she doesn't even think of lying.
Fëaelen smiles at Aceratzu, pleased with her too.

Sirithil nods. "Two have had Elves in stock. One has apparently been punished, though by a chance blessing of fate rather than by me. The other, however, has not. She raises a hand, conjuring a holographic image of the emperor of Aust. "This one, here, I want him seized. Bring him to this palace, but do not let him leave. Fear not, my child, for your people will come to no harm, and my own warriors will support yours."

"Sa Rianah," she says simply, looking at him, she remembers this one, he was in the palace last she heard, "we shall do your will."
"Good," she says. "Now, rise, child, and show me what you have accomplished in the long absence of the Star Gods."
Aceratzu rises, as gracefully as she can manage under the circumstances, and brushes herself off a little.
Sirithil stands where she is, watching Aceratzu patiently, pleased with the young Queen, and indeed pleased with how this is turning out in general. Aceratzu's not entirely sure what to show Siri first. They've actually made quite a lot of progress in the last two thousand years...

Sirithil helps her out. "The palace, perhaps, and the temples. And any part of the city you're particularly proud of."
"Also what advancements you've made."
Aceratzu smiles and gestures, in the most humble way she can, for Siri and elves to follow her. Sirithil follows along, still glowing and floating a little above the floor.
Fëaelen also follows, along with Anáriel. Aceratzu guides Siri around a little, and needless to say, one of the first things is the same reaction from numerous courtiers and servants. Sirithil assumes as imperious an expression as possible for these encounters.

Almost everyone is exceedingly defferent and worshipful, barring Intracel, the chief advisor, who finds this dubious, and secretly, massively annoying. He'd been planning to take over, but this secures Aceratzu's place pretty well...

Sirithil gazes at him, her eyes seeming to pierce through him, to the very depths of his soul. "Aceratzu! Who is this one?"
She blinks a little, "He is my father's chief advisor, Intracel Rianah." Now he begins to have a feeling a bit more appropriate, specifically, terror... Sirithil smirks a bit, and she gazes at Intracel for a time, brushing her mind against his...

He flinches a little, and takes a step back. Sirithil does it again, wanting to see his thoughts... she's not the most powerful of telepaths, but she's fairly sure these people don't have much in the way of psionic ability or training.

He doesn't. He doesn't have exceptional will either. Were he one of the Silvae, he'd probably be quite able to withstand such things, but the Tnechati have indeed not been taught such things.

Inside his mind are numerous plans for overthrow of Aceratzu, a few general feelings of dislike for her and the elves, whom he considers interlopers. Sirithil smiles a little. "Hmm. Fascinating. What sort of poison were you thinking of, Intracel?" she asks, nonchalantly. She's come to be rather fond of Aceratzu, as it happens.

"Pardon?" he asks, "what are you accusing me of?" Aceratzu looks more than a little shocked and appalled.

Sirithil leans down a little. "Your... faith... is lacking. As is your loyalty. And I have no need to accuse you, for I already know." He takes another step back, and says nothing.

Fëaelen meanwhile contemplates teaching Siri a little more aggressive telepathy.
"Hmm," she says, straightening up again. "Nothing to say for yourself. I can't say I'm surprised."
He looks around the room to see how this is going, and looks a little more worried. A rival of his is caressing the handle of a dueling pistol and looks like he wants to shoot him. Sirithil strides meaningfully towards him, still not touching the floor, and she bends down and grabs him by the throat, lifting him off the floor. "Give me one reason why I should spare your miserable life." Electrical discharges crackle across her fingers, not enough to harm Intracel, but enough to leave rather mild burns on his skin later.

He struggles a little, and lets out a long gasp of air, before mumbling, "Because you're a forgiving goddess...?"
"I am a forgiving goddess, yes. But I do not wish to see my blessed servant Aceratzu come to harm. Nor does power belong in the hands of one willing to formulate the plans that you have. Can you purge these seditious thoughts from your mind, forever, and prove your allegiance to your queen and your goddess?" She still hasn't set him down yet. He nods frantically.

"Swear it," she hisses.
"I swear..." he mumbles. It won't much matter, as, at the very least, Aceratzu will fire him now.
Sirithil nods. "Very well, then. You have had your free pass. Should any harm come to Aceratzu, or to any Elf visiting Tnechat, that looks even the slightest bit unnatural, I'm coming to you first, and I will dedicate a substantial part of my efforts to ensuring that within the lifetime of this universe you will never stop screaming. So it is in your very best interests to protect the status quo with your life."
She opens her fingers, dropping him unceremoniously to the floor.
He scurries off on all fours withuot even looking back.
Sirithil returns to Aceratzu's side, smiling reassuringly at her.
The queen smiles a little at Sirithil, and whispers, "Thank you Rianah."
"He was plotting to take your throne, child," she says. "As I said, I will protect Tnechat. Now, lead on."
Aceratzu bows her head a little, and leads Sirithil on, to show a few shrines dedicated to, well, her, now.
Sirithil smiles. "Very nice, very nice," she says, looking around the shrines. Pity the priests aren't about, their reactions would be amusing. A few are, but there aren't that many priests. Religion tends to be so widely practiced by individuals that there's no real need, except for some of the more socially useful functions of clergy, which is what they're off doing. Sirithil nods as this is (presumably) explained to her, and she approves greatly. Aceratzu offers to try and find a bishop or high priest though.

Sirithil nods. "Please do," she says. "I should meet with one, as I have with you."
It doesn't occur to her that Siri should know where they are, as, helpfully, she's not meant to be all seeing, as much as very much seeing. Pantheism is useful that way.
Eventually Aceratzu comes back with a middle-aged man in fairly complex green robes. Sirithil smiles at the fellow, and has taken up a position in front of the altar, looking quite, well, divine and such. He bows a little, having had recent events somewhat explained to him...

He also has some questions about recent, theologically troubling, events at that slave-market. Sirithil smiles a little; Anáriel was there and reported what she had seen, and can therefore fill in any blanks in Siri's explanation, if there are any. "Please, ask, child."

He, Eresir, asks, quite simply, "What was all that?" Sirithil thinks quickly. She knows that Feaelen has an interest in moving these people. "The slavers came, as called," she says, "and they kept as slaves people very dear to me. I came to reveal myself to your people, and to punish the offending slavers, but some of them have already been punished - not by me, yet, but by demons from beyond this world. I will protect your people from these demons."

Eresir nods a little, understanding this explanation. "Is there anything else you wish to know?"
He nods, "Of course, Rianah, but no other questions I can think of need such urgent explanation to the people..." He thinks for a moment longer, "Though you say... elves are to be respected Rianah?"

Sirithil nods. "Yes," she says. "They need not be worshipped, of course, but they must be respected, and given all possible courtesy."
"They are not your masters, so do not confuse this with that. But they are your friends, your dear friends, and beloved of your goddess, and should be treated as such."
He nods a little, "Do you have any other new instructions for us Rianah?"

Sirithil ponders. "Yes," she says after a moment. She whispers briefly, her words unintelligible, and an ornate squarish object appears in her hands, with her eight-pointed star insignia upon it, conjured by her magic; it was actually manufactured in advance, teleported from aboard the ship. She sets it among the holy relics.
"This artefact is not to be tampered with, but it symbolizes my grace. If you have any need of my guidance, my protection, or me you now need only come to this temple and pray. Periodically either I or my servants will come, and will answer your concerns, and if it is protection that is needed, I and my servants will come at all possible speed."

"Hmm... A broccoli attack in Bangladesh? How... very... interesting. Dear gods, what has this world come to Gaivs?"

The Praetor glanced up from his reading.

"Perhaps you should consult with one of the Pontifexes?"

"I was joking, you understand such a word... Right Gaivs?"

"Of course Imperator. But did you happen to read over the incident in Tnechat?"

Siricvs spoke the word "Tnechat" and in about half a second his holographic data brief came to the first mention of the word "Tnechat", he read over the report, ran his hand through his hair, cleared his throat and began to speak.

"Interesting, to say the least. If I'm reading this right, what started as a simple purchase of slaves turned into a war between slavers, a missile exploding into the Tnechat royal palace (thank the gods no one was killed) and the appearance of a god?"

"Correction, goddess."

"Right..."

"We have our doubts about this being a real goddess, we assume it is a member of an advanced race in possession, by means unknown, of highly sophisticated and advanced technology."

"Yes, yes, do we have any slaves to spare?"

"No, slavery is outlawed, however, we do have quite a few citizens, of whom many are professional entertainers, who wish to leave our nation in search of a more relaxed way of life."

"Good... Good... Well in the name of improving diplomatic relations between Novvs Atlantis and Tnechat grant these people passports, hook them up with a flight, and let's see if we can't get in touch with the Tenchatian (?) Empress to arrange some jobs for these people in Her Royal Courts, and possibly engage in a trade agreement of some sort."

The Emnporer saw the Ship hanging above the palace, he saw the lady Siri. He realised that the elves had come for there revenge. "I think" he said slowly, "It's time we left." He rose to his feet and made his way towards the limo.

"Lets go." He climbed in, his men began to load the slaves up. "Leave the slaves. Free them. Just get into our viacles and make to the airport." The convoy of tanks and cars made off, at high speed. Inside the Limo the emporer sipped a glass of wine, trying to relax. He was shaken. He never realised that the elves where so powerful, it was time to end slavery in Aust, he would do so when they got home.

He pondered upon ordering a nuklear strike on Tnechat, but that would only enrage the elves, and Aust was in no persition to have a war with a superior foe.

They reached the airport, a few men tried to stop them, but his bodyguard gunned them down. The Emporer climbed aboard his plane, waved a fist at the ship that had defeated him and the plane left.

Inside the lear jet, he ordered 3 wing, to come and escort him home, he had a feeling that this wasn't going to be a clean escape.

The ship, for her part, did more than simply wave a fist back. Designated a Fëanor-class dreadnought, GDN-10, MIS Olórin, she was one of Menelmacar's greatest ships, and she had more than a few ways of reaching out and touching the Austian motorcade.

Launch bays yawned open, and a squadron of Thoron fighters sallied forth, riding gravitational fields of their own creation in pursuit of the fugitive. They did not attack, yet, but they did shadow him to wherever he had stashed his aircraft...

(Ack = Some time before the Siri post) The elves of Giltheran were greeted at the palace by a rather dashing gentleman dressed in a one shouldered cloak over an ornate officers uniform and holding a partially golden double barrelled flintlock pistol (http://blindkat.hegewisch.net/pirates/dbside.jpg) pointed at Sinestran. He was of course, Intracel’s prominent rival, Atisel, captain of the queen’s guard

Several others were waiting there, muskets at the ready, and more guards rushing down the streets, looking, both cagey and irritated. “Who are you?” he demanded, trigger finger flexing instinctively. They were quite clearly foreigners, and quite clearly unwanted there were plenty of healers in the palace and more importantly, no one had been seriously injured, as far as he’d known mere moments ago when he had been up there. “Armed foreigners appearing from nowhere. Spies I'll wager! Speak quickly lest this itch in my finger triumphs o'er my tolerance!”

He had a mind to arrest them for this, on suspision of somehow being connected to the rocket that recently hit the palace. Meanwhile, the other soldiers marked off their targets and raised their weapons.

It wasn't that he was a suspicious man by nature, it was more that their very reason for being there was so fraudulent and bogus as to be un-believeable, "Why don't you lower your weapons, and follow me into the palace, for questioning?" he said, the tone of his voice clearly inplying that it was not a request.

A few notes on Tnechati beliefs.

Afterlife

Tnechati religious beliefs can be described as rather different from those of most peoples. Firstly, in Tnechati beliefs, there is no afterlife, no reincarnation. As far as Tnechati are concerned, shuffling off this mortal coil is the end of existence. It is perhaps surprising to most of us that this is so, as many of us in the modern world still possess religious beliefs about the afterlife. However, there is no requirement that one believe in any specific afterlife, though some Tnechati believe in re-incarnation.

The Star-Gods

The Star-Gods the Tnechati ‘worship’ are not, in the classical sense, considered gods. They are not believed to have created the universe, nor are they believed to be omnipotent or omniscient, or perfect. While very few of these Star-Gods have ever taken any interest in Tnechat in their mythology, however it is widely believed that many of them exist.

No worship per-se is given to the Star-Gods, as much as a vast about of respect. No sacrifices are demanded, and in their absence the Star Gods are not believed to be watching, with some exceptions. A curious development in recent times, two centuries ago, was the prevalence of the idea that the Star-Gods considered the people slaves. This was largely invented by king Arhitu IV in order to ensure the stability of the feudal system. It is not (officially) supported by the (miniscule) priesthood.

The Star-Gods are believed to be beings of great power and wisdom with a benevolent disposition towards the Tnechati people (as a whole). The only powers that are actually required are levitation and immortality.

Sinhedran turned to face the Captain and looked ready to brook no argument. 'We came here to offer you our aid in helping your wounded. If you expect me, us to answer any questions while people suffer you are very much in for a disapointment.'

This short pointy eared fellow was... annoying. The captain sighed, "What wounded? And no, I don't intend to question you yet," he said briefly, "Now, inside," he twitched his gun slightly, gesturing that they should turn and walk into the cell, "and we'll attend to you later, when we're investigating who fired the rocket, which I might add," he said, "I suspect to be more of your kind."

A collective laugh came from the three at the idea of them being responsible for the rocket and as they stepped into the room they asked him over their backs. 'Captain tell me do we look like the type of people who have access to Rockets?'

Once inside the cell of the men three began to sing a gentle and quiet song, as it appeared they would have a bit of a wait on their hands he settled into the tune and the other two listened enrapt in it.
The Ctan
31-07-2004, 20:20
Unfortunately, for the bard at least, their wait wouldn't be long at all, at least not for them. The Captain wandered over to a plinth at the side of the room containing the cell. He had no idea what some of the things on it did, but he did know how to operate it. The Tnechati lacked advanced technology, but they did not lack intellect.

He waved a hand over the top of the alter, and in a single instant, as far as the prisoners were concerned, he dissapeared, and was replaced with something else. Time stopped for the prisoners. Just as X-rays cannot pass through lead, time cannot penetrate a stasis field. So, although they existed, they no longer existed in time, and for them time itself did not exist. Although they were still masses, they were no longer events in space-time, they were a non-event masses with a quantum probability of zero.

Quietly taking out an object the size of a coin, but square, from the console, one of two, the other of which was kept with the Queen at all times, the Guard Captain wandered off to report to her majesty, as the interloping elves were imprisoned in the only functional artifact left by the Star Gods in Tnechat that the Tnechati knew how to use. He gestured to one of the guards, who pressed a button causing a heavy metal door to slide down a few milimeters over the edge of stasis field, effectively closing the cell.

At the same time as "Fëaelen nos Ancalimë" was receiving her tour, another of the avatars of the same entity, this one identical to the other in every respect, her exceptionally tall figure, her elven grace, walked along a short passage beneath the palace. Wandering into the room she looked around, seemingly unperceived by the two guards. One of them rubbed his stiff neck, and prompted subtly by the C'tan, smiled, "Hey, Irenu, why don't we knock off for a break?" he asked, "It's not as if we've been ordered to guard this place."

Irenu, the one who'd wanted to bayonet the elves nodded at his friend, and smiled briefly as he picked up his weapon and they wandered out, not noticing the elf-woman.

She opened the door to the stasis chamber, and quickly triggered the device that returned the chamber to normal. "Hello children," she said with a wry smile.

OOC I am going to assume Ctan that time has passed between being put in the chamber and the above with that in mind...

IC As time passed and it became apparent that no aid had been required at the Palace, the remaining members of the Road of course began to firstly get nervous and then downright concerned for their friends..

'They should have returned, this has not gone well, no Indeed, can you find them?'

In the corner of the room one of the Elves sat before a Mirror and snarled, 'No They cannot be found they entered the Palace alive that much I know but now, it is as if they are not in existence...'

Fear and determination rose upon the faces of the others... before finnally determination as Tel'varinis broke the seal upon a scroll case, given to him by githras it was only to be used in emergencys, as it carried a cost for the user as well as provided the means to solve their current problem, inside it was an ornate scroll which contained but two spells. Pulling them out he read the first spell, and felt immediatly sick.

As a Circle-of-Protection good arose around him, he started upon the second sweat pouring down his face then it happened... a sliver of light grew into a door way and 'it' stood before them a Deva, an Angel.
'Why have you called me Mageling and what price will you pay for my aid?' It's voice was the clearest note of kindness and goodness imaginable, promising peace and serewnity to it's allies, and swift retribution upon it's foes. Tel'Varinis swolled nervously as he looked upon it but spoke in answer.
'We need you aid great one, our comrades have been taken. They went to render Aid and have now dissapeared, we fear them dead, but hope remains... We need your aid to recover them, either their bodies or their persons... We will pay any price.'

The Deva nodded and smiled Then let us go, and in time I will come to have to fulfill that promise when the time is right I will need your strength to right a grevious wrong that is to come.'

The Remaining members of the road plus one left their bolthole and proceded down the streets of the city no disguise had been used and so in the middle of these travellers was one who was clearly not Mortal, and that seemed to float rather than walk, a look of serenity upon it's face.

A random market street, Sut-town, Tnechat

The appearance of the Deva caused more than a little stir, as it was not every day one saw a winged humanoid surrounded by a holy aura floating along the street. Whispered word about the possibility of this being a Star God, or something alike but evil, was exchanged from person to person behind closed doors, indeed there was no proof of such an entity being benevolent, barring its radiant glow, which fooled no one. Much scholastic thought had been done on such matters since long ago, and in conjunction with occasional teachings by those visitors, organic beings for the most part, sent by the star gods, that not all such creatures were the same, and certainly it would not be wise to trust them without some token – even verbal – of their allegiance and motives.

As usual, Itara was manning the market stall she always did on the fourth day of the week. As usual, she was operating at break even, at best. While others had been whispering for several moments she was merely counting the coins on her counter, and looking at the large selection of vegetables she sold.

She was hardly one for such things, indeed, over the years, her general poor luck and pragmatic demeanour had quite knocked the superstition out of her, and she was not one to heed such talk. As it was however, her faith was suddenly restored by the appearance of a floating being of light nearby, and she wandered over towards it. Unfortunately for her, the same cause of her general but subtle poor luck throughout most of her time, affected this being too, and much like any other being of its kind when in anything akin to an anti-magic field, the Deva winked out, temporarily at least, ceasing to exist. Itara frowned, and observed the short, pointy-eared foreigners that had been with it with curiosity.

AS the Deva disappeared they looked a little shocked but as the woman walked away and it returned they quickly recovered and continued towards the Palace, when they reached guards they stopped and Tel'varinis strode forward sword drawn but not raised towards them.

'Three of our companions where taken inside here, we want them returned to us now.' Hios voice carried a hint of threat while remaining almost conversational.

Meanwhile inside the Palace as the three where brought out of Statis they looked at Feaelen and shrugged, 'We seem to be fine after our captivity.' If they felt any concern or insult at being called Children, it did not show, but then they did not acknowledge the comment either.

Meanwhile at the entrance to the Palace Tel'Varinis looked at the guards again, and got a little more threatening. 'Well where are our companions.'Pausing he pointed at one of them 'You tell me where they are, or tell us where we can find someone who does know.'

His tone did not leave much room for doubt as to how he thought that would turn out.

Slowly he turns to face the gate and he begins to move his free hand, snaking it around before pointing at the door, giving at the end an almighty shout...

As the Gate swings open without a sound, he turns once more to look at the six and looks at them questionly((Assuming no pariah null Rod type tech))

"You are misguided," she said, resisting the urge to add 'lower creature' at the end of that, "I did no such thing, the locals did. I released you. If I were to take such steps, however, my own authority," her voice became deeper and more powerful as she said that, a majestic intonation creeping in for a moment before her voice returned to normal, "Now, answer my question."

((Even easier. The door was already open, so I'll assume that that didn't happen.))

The guards were somewhat confused by this strange fellow. They'd already gotten out of his way, then he demanded to enter, and have his companions brought out. This was just weird, he was quite clearly completely insane, and they started backing off slowly. The Palace observed, and transmitted. Though it was merely as intelligent as a scarab, and alas, its original doors and other devices that would have kept intruders at bay had been replaced with more ornate wooden ones, around the same time as it had been brick-faced, it still had its sensors, and someone to talk to once more.

Meanwhile, aboard the Menelmacari dreadnought, in an empty, austere room, an exceptionally tall elflike being opened its green-brown eyes, despite having been sitting in a cross-legged pose somewhat reminiscent of the Buddha for several hours, his movements weren’t slowed or abnormal in any way as he rose smoothly to his feet and looked around, gloved hand settling around the shaft of a long, steel staff, eldritch runes covering its length.

Though this wasn’t directly part of his mission, his job was to serve certain interests, which Tel’Vanis seemed to be a problem to. Darkness, emerging from nowhere, washed over his body, and he was no longer where he had been.

They bore me.' He gave a chuckle as he spoke and looked at the guard who had spoken earlier, turning all his attention to that man.

'Now If I am forced to enter the Palace, then it will likely get messy, nothing will stop us from our task and people may get harmed, none of us want that over three individuals whose only crime was coming to help your any injured from the attack earlier.' His voice lowered into almost a conversational one.

Inside the Palace the three looked at each other and shrugged, 'Cultural study, into the nature of slaverly here in Tnechat and in other nations that answered the Queens call for slaves trading.' Eventually was offered as their reason for being there.

It seemed to radiate an almost tangible malevolence, its movements calculated. He looked like an elf in some ways, features, ears, but he was taller than even the tallest of the noldor they had seen yet.

He flipped a silver coin like device to the mage, a gauss grenade, though programmed of course to deactivate if too close to himself, given how dangerous it was. Holding the staff the necron lord smiled, "There, you have your money, now, begone, come back next year. Penny for the guy indeed. It doesn't even look remotely like Fawlkes."

The true nature of the creature before it was apparent to the Solar and it acted, carefully, but with a clearly designed target. First it's Sword it's blade easily the size of a human sprung from it's scabbard towards the Reaper. Even as this occured Tel'Varinis acted, chanting a spell that sped up all his comrades making appear to the guards to be blurs. Behnind him his comrades also Moved, two drew Bows and aimed at the guards seeking to knock them out of the conflict, another two began to sing, the first of battle and glorly. Of Corage in adversity and in the face of evil, it's words seemed to inspire the others streghening their resolve. The other singer was far more practical in his song, seeming to catch the coin and throw it towards the open door of the palace, granades not unknown in concept to the Giltheran people.

Behind him the final member of Tel'varninis' comrades acted and began a casting of his own strangely it went of at the same instant as the Solars spell and two doors of light appeared in the air, from the first came a ball of energy, blinking in response to the conflict around it, it moved towards the Reaper sensing one thing only the malevolent intentions of the creature. The second meanwhile appeared very much as a Dog or a Lion standing as tall as a man it dove into the combat with the Reaper also.

Inside Senhedrin shrugged at Feaelen's question. 'Very little the people here where attacked and since then we have been racing around trying to help. Well that is before our arrest.'

The guards wasted no time in running away, surprisingly they seemed to be more afraid of the necron lord than the elves. Herufiriemmolië saw the sword coming. With skill borne of obscene experience and technology, he reached out with his off-hand, and time slowed. He loosed off a few shots from his staff of light at the one who was obviously the leader here, Tel'virinis. A dozen bolts of brilliant light, eclipsing the lantern archon, streaked towards him and the ground around him, enough to turn him merely into a red mist and some crunchy pieces of gore flying out from the centre point.

His other black gloved hand reached out and slapped the blade of the dancing sword, deflecting it a little. His hand shot out and clasped itself around the handle, tightening with a vice like grip about the weapon. He had fought demon-weapons before, and he knew what to expect here. He swung it about in a practiced manouver, pointing the blade away from his body, arm extended. He held it there, and it resisted, but his strength prevailed.

Then he ran from the Hound with inhuman speed, apparently so at least. Not out of fear, for he didn't fear it, but to give him some distance to work with.

Now to be rid of it. Artfully, he activated the phase-shift device for a moment, and plunged it into the ground. Deactivating it, the molecules tried to occupy the same place.

In some science fiction, this would have resulted in a vast explosion, but in reality, the chances of the atoms of both sword and ground occupying the same space were astronomically low, and instead, all it resulted in was the sword and the ground occupying the same space, literally being one object.

((Or if that's too uber for your taste.))

He rammed the sword into the ground with all his might, cracking it slightly, and kicked the handle, bending it slightly. Stepping back once more, he fired a bolt of what looked like, but wasn't, lightning and measured energies played about the sword, fusing it to the ground, melting for just a moment, to make it near impossible to pull itself from the ground.

Then the hound archon was upon him, a physical attack ((Heh, give the next one the greatsword)) the creature attacked in a flurry of bites and slams, raking his flesh with claws, as if the creature truly thought such things would affect him. He twirled the staff elaborately, attempting to bring the singing blade into contact with one of the creature's wrists, before flicking it away, pushing the staff, held horizontally at belly level, away powerfully, in a move designed to cause the opponent to tumble so he could be impaled with the sharpened base.

The Gore spew out and for a second it truly seemed as if Tel'Varinis was dead... then three flashes of light came from the man and he stood seemingly unfased by it all an occasional wound still could be made out across his skin but other than this...

A Slight tip of his blade towards the creature and he charged, his free hand twisting once again, as three Balls of energy sped from his hands towards the monstrosity, he was of course internally nervous yet not a sign of it showed, then he smiled as he neared, as behind him his comrade finished his spell.

And suddenly it was as if Heru was moving through mud, The solar had targeted his spell deliberatly and now along with the hasted foes he would be slowed. The final spell to sing out came from the Mage this one had originally in his game plan been another summons but then an evil grin spred across his face, and he cast as he walked closer to the combatents, then with a last gesture he was gone, appearing behind Tel'varinis a heartbeat later he touched his friend and then was gone again.

Tel'Varinis broke out surronded in flames as he finished his charge, and struck downwards.

((Not sure what you’re talking about there. The Hound Archon’s biting and things? It’s not that much greater than a normal wolf in the bite department, so I can’t really see it being any use against a Necron Lord. ))

The Necron smiled as they tried to use magic to slow his speed. With casual ease he increased the time distortion factor of his chronometron to compensate even as several magic missiles hit him sizzling through clothing and flesh. Then he was off once more, blade singing around to decapitate the dog faced demon, sword suddenly in his hand.

Then darkness rose up from the floor and he disappeared, a shroud of darkness like a black cloth covered his form, and he was gone. A moment later, from a flat roof of a Tnechati building behind them, a rain of devastating blasts of energy, with the speed of an automatic weapon, rang out. The necron had changed his tactic, it was time to winnow the numbers here. He aimed for the general rogues and thieves of the group first, though they were less dangerous in his eyes, they would also be more quickly dealt with.

He had a suspicion that much of this magic would fail when subjected to prolonged combat, then he would be free to take care of the larger demon thing at his leisure.

Fëaelen closed her eyes, hearing explosions in the distance. “Interesting,” she said, extending her senses outward, feeling the necron, understanding. She looked at the remaining three and smiled, “Goodbye,” she said, and suddenly darted forward, a blur of white dress and smooth elven skin, transformed at the hands, sporting large razor sharp claws, which first went straight for the Cleric’s head, at this speed, it would be unlikely that he’d have time to even blink.

Indeed he not, but they did, and they appeared even as the Cleric died under her claws they stepped out of the shadows, and surronded her. Not moving not advancing silent they simply stood there. A blade held in their hands but not pointed at her they simply smiled at her grimly and with a strange look of hate in their eyes. She had been marked had this creature, by the Seldarine as she had revealed herself to their gaze, and they where here to ensure others of their Children would know her.

Outside things had gotten desperate, yet their was no pause, as the shots came raining down on them and they began to fall under the shots, they went to their last option, and Tel'varinis as well as the Mage turned pulling out scrolls once more and reading them before pointing at Heru, a ray leaving both their hands andracing towards him

Disintergration even as Tel'Varinis fell to the floor clutching his head at the might of the spell, blood coming from his nose, he would have died right there had not the Solar came to him and rested it's hands upon his head.

OOC edit Just so that anyone reading this understands Reverend ones showing up is not normal practice for killing a Cleric. Feaelen got them because Feaelen is not Mortal but a Goddess avatar and so beyond Mortal abilities to handle... and so the Seldarine has intervened indirectly. This is how I view the Reverend ones, something that is used only when the Seldarine cannot reasonably expect Mortals to handle the situation.

In a flash the outer layers of the necron were gone, reduced to a shower of fine powder. For a moment, it stood there, naked, silver skeleton glowing, a corona of green around it, surrounded by a corona of lightning. A small crater appeared in its chest, metal burning in an eerie green glow, the crater expanding moment by moment. With what could be described as exceptional annoyance, even as the green glow dissapated to leave a large cavity in his chest, and a legion of small spider like drones skittered across his form.

Had this been a more critical mission, he would never have stopped, never relented, never even entertained the thought of hesitation. But for this, self preservation took preference, and with a resounding clap, he dissapeared.

After a few moments of gazing at the blood across her dress and claws, immediately retracting. She gazed down at the carnage on the floor sadly. It was the first time she'd killed, well, anything, in a while, and it felt indescribably different. Fëaelen looked around, "You want something?" she asked, rather annoyed by this sudden appearance of yet more quasi-elves.

a breath of relief came from the mouths of the remaining members of the rescue party as they looked over the carnage two of their number had died when the 'Thing' had fired upon them. They where beyond all help now, and Tel'Varinis was still uncouncious it would be some days before he recovered from the casting of the scroll, the strain of two such scrolls in the same day had ripped him apart inside his mind, now he needed to recover.

Inside the Reverend ones simply looked at Feaelen unanswering eventually the two survivors looked at her and one managed to whisper in awe, and fear. 'They don't speak, they can't speak here, they are Reverend ones...' The awe continued even as they moved slowly towards their companion and began lifting him up even through he was dead they treated him with a loving care, 'The Seldarine sent them, for some purpose.'

Fëaelen glanced at them and wandered off, up the stairs. She didn't bother to do anything about it all, she seemed to be totally withdrawn, though following her, tall, elegant but bloodstained form one would be lead to the entrance again.

They had lost much and Tel'Varinis was down and unable to help them but they had came to free their friends, and they knew what he'd want, the Survivors therefore of the fight with Heru split into two groups, and prepared to enter the Palace. One would remain outside with Tel'Varinis and the dead. Meanwhile the mage would enter with the Solar and get their freinds out, that was why they'd came after all. They could only hope that the creature that had attacked them was not common for the Palace for if it was they would likely die.

Inside the two looked at each other and shrugged they seemed to have little choice and followed the form of Feaelen at least for now, until they saw something they recognised. The Reverend ones meanwhile mostly departed although one remained as it would for sometime, and walked behind Feaelen as a Shadow.

She looked at them, and sighed, eventually mubling, "Piteous." Corpses, destruction, and at least one of them in some kind of coma. With a little look down at her bloodstained hand she sighed, not that she couldn't get rid of the blood, but that she chose not to. With a flick of her head from side to side in annoyance, she made a bee line for the one in the coma. Annoying they were, but she may as well help them a bit now.

She smiled, just a little as she walked over to them.

At the approach of Feaelen those still standing closed ranks around Tel'Varinis not knowing what she repersented. They looked questonly at their emerging companions who gave a shrug of confusion before eventually and slowly nodding. They didn't understand this strange creature or why the Seldarine had sent Reverend ones but for now it seemed obvious to them that their was little they could do to prevent her doing what ever she intended and so...

The others stood aside, apart from the Solar who now with the emergence of the people they had came to rescue niw sat craddeling Tel'Varinis guarding his uncouncious form but not preventing the approach of Feaelen. Until she neared and then it looked up at her and nodded, 'When he awakens remind him, of his promise, I will have need of this one soon.' Then it looked upon the gathered Elves and nodded For what I was called to do has been done, and so I am freed of the summons, I leave now. as it spoke a gateway opened at it's side, a silver doorway in space and then the Solar was gone.

OOC now to find a suitable 'quest' for Tel'Varinis hmm...

Eventually Fëaelen kneeled down at the side of the comatose one, brushing a cool hand across his forehead, and closing her eyes. It was admittedly a mess in there, but she'd seen far worse. It was rather like putting the books of a library back on the shelves in this case. A moment later she opened her eyes again, and the other took a forced intake of breath. She smiled just a little and stood up, wandering off again.
