OOC: its a good start and a good base to grown from.
My suggestions would be to concentrate on light mobile forces to begin with with plnety of cheap ATGMs and some light SAM systems.
once you get bigger you should start thinking about armoured divisions but would restrict them unless you either have lots of wide open plains/deserts or are planning on having major over seas deployment capability.
