An Introduction to Morvanus
Morvanus

President Harold Lethar looked out over the fledgling nation of Morvanus. Although she was only a speck of dust against the larger nations of the world, she would soon be a major player in the international arms market.
"President Lethar," said one of his aides. Turning from the window, President Lethar sat down at his desk.
"Yes, Jameson?" he replied, looking up at the young enterprising aide. Michael Jameson was the only son of Hank Jameson, one of Harold's oldest colleagues. Hank was the CEO of the largest mechanized assault factory in Morvanus, which was pencilled in as one of the mainstays of Morvanus' burgeoning economy.
"Sir, the invitations that you requested have been printed off," the aide said, his eyes not meeting that of his President. This was how Harold liked things. He had been in the Army in his youth and brought the discipline from that into running his nation.
"Excellent. See to it that every nation who has expressed a desire in arms recently recieves one," Harold said, dismissing the aide with a wave of his hand. Once the aide had left the room, closing the door behind him, Harold settled back into his chair. Morvanus had pulled itself up from scratch, using the combined revenues of its founding fathers to cultivate massive factories capable of producing massive amounts of arms and armour. It was time to make good on their investment. A quick buzz from his elbow alerted him to a call from his secretary.
"Yes, Delores?" Harold asked, pressing the intercom button.
"The Chief of Police has just called. They found some anti-pollution demonstrators chained to the fence of your small arms factory, sir," a pleasant voice said from the other end of the intercom.
"Have him execute them quietly, Delores," Harold ordered coldly. "I don't suffer wasters."

Hi, I'm new to this so this is kind of an introductory post. My nation, Morvanus, is a capitalist state of the worst kind. The people have few civil rights and if they take liberties, tend to disappear into the night.
Harold Lethar was a soldier, but left as it wasn't good enough money. However, he brought his discipline with him and built up a very respectable company that dealt with small arms. Collaborating with other arms dealers and colleagues that he had met in the past, they came together to form Morvanus.
As you can see, he has no qualms with executing innocent people who get in his way, so if you want to kick up a human rights fuss, he'll probably just shrug you off.
;)
The invitations mentioned are an open invitation to come to Morvanus with a proposal for them to make your arms. They do make things to a high standard, and can manufacture any small arm, tank, ship or plane that is in current use today. Note, this does not include prototypes, weapons under development or future tech. Eventually, I will move Morvanus down an R and D path, with their own line in equipment that will be available solely from them. Long time customers will get discount.
;)
Anyway, I'm sure this will be a hoot, so lets get to it!

The Psychotically-Induced State of Dimmimar welcomes the Republic of Morvanus into the world. We are interested in your arms manufacturing , and would like to draft a treaty with you.
We would fund your manufacturing, for the price of say, 5% of the profits?
We await your reply.

"So, Harry, what's this sudden board meeting all about?" Hank Jameson asked, taking a deep draw on his cigar. The portly Texan expelled the smoke from his lungs and lounged in his executive chair.
"If you'd care to open the file in front of you, gentlemen, you will find a copy of a missive that we recieved from Baltus van Tessul, Chancellor of the Exchequer for Dimmimar, at fifteen thirty this afternoon," Harold said flatly, opening his own file.
"Dimmimar," Lucas O'Brady uttered thoughtfully. "They're embroiled in a civil war at the moment, aren't they?"
"Indeed they are," Harold said, looking up at Lucas, CEO of O'Brady Shipyards. "They're looking to fund our manufacturing costs, taking a five percent slice off top." Hank spluttered at this last sentence.
"Five percent?" he roared. "Hell, might as well just let them muscle in on the whole operation!" Harold glanced askance at Hank coldly, putting the big Texan back in his chair.
"This deal works both ways, gentlemen. It'll alleviate the grip on our belts, meaning we can free up resources for... other projects. It'll also mean that we gain some military backing. As you all know, our military is negligible at the moment," Harold said with a sigh. "So, all of those in favour?"
Four of the five board members raised their hand, including Harold. Hank looked around at them and shrugged. "Well, I guess I'm in."
"Excellent," Harold said with a smile. "Gentlemen, Morvanus is on her way to becoming a strong power in the international field."

To Baltus van Tessul,
We have reviewed your offer and have decided to accept your offer. Your government may assist in funding our factories, and in return we shall offer you five percent (5%) of the total net profit.

Just to clue folks in, the members of the board of directors (and also the men I shall be roleplaying) are the following:
Harold Lethar: President of Morvanus, CEO of Lethar Arms Industries. Manufactures small arms (from melee weapons up to rocket launchers, basically all infantry weapons). Harold is a Scotsman.
Hank Jameson: CEO of Jameson Armor Industries. Manufactures all forms of mechanized armour, including APCs, tanks etc. Hank is an American (Texan).
Lucas O'Brady: CEO of O'Brady Shipyards. Manufactures all ships, including battleships, coastline cruisers, submarines etc. Lucas is a third generation Irish-American.
Franz Jurgen: CEO of ZACorp. Manufactures all planes, including fighters, bombers, stealth fighters etc. Franz is a second generation Swiss-German.
Yutoi Wu: Director of Intelligence. Covers all intelligence reports.
At some point in the future, when Morvanus moves into military theatres of operations, Yutoi Wu will become Director of Defence. Morvanus will never become an out and out military power, but will instead rely on covert operations and subterfuge.

To Baltus van Tessul,
The Board of Directors heartily accepts the funds you have put at our disposal. We are about to enter a period of expansion, in order to increase our manufacturing throughput.
Regards the internal issues of Dimmimar, whilst we can't provide any military support in the form of infantry, we can obviously provide arms, ammunition and intelligence expertise. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance.

The GDMO is always on the lookout for ways to enhance its military capabilities. Although you are small and, as of yet, untested, we will give you the benefit of the doubt. The GDMO thus requests attendance for a group of its representatives.
Although we are always seeking new equipment, we are more interested in new technologies and components that can be integrated into existing platforms to make them even more deadly. Whenever Morvanus walks down the R&D path, we hope to be especially close business partners.

"Sir," Delores' voice buzzed through the intercom. President Lethar held down the intercom button.
"Yes, Delores, what is it?" he asked.
"We've got a message from Earl Trammel of Monte Ozarka. They wish to attend the open day, with a view to seeing where R and D will take us," Delores replied, as though she were reading something from a piece of paper.
"Very well, Delores, I shall see to this personally."

To Earl Matthew Trammel,
