The signals themselves were coming from a ship, much unlike those of the federation. These signals were faster even than normal subspace for they were indeed near instantaneous. Aboard the bridge of this ship an apparently young man sat in a silver throne upon a raised dais of marble, addressing an image displayed on a triangular screen at the front of the room.

“And so my Lord, we have completed the sweep of this area, with nothing to report,” at that moment, one of the others aboard the vessel turned to him, “My lord, Sensors detect a ship, approaching the system.”

Lord Shu looked at the screen, and nodded curtly. The screen changed as a minion rapidly manipulated controls. A curious vessel, it looked rather like a dinner plate with prongs on it at the rear. “Curious,” he murmured, “Activate the cloaking device.”
