Massive Military Overhaul :: Trillions to be Spent :: Contractors Wanted

In an amazing announcement given by the Secretary of Defense, Peter Allen, it was announced that the government had began to auction off pieces of its current military, and that it was set to begin the $11.7 Trillion Dollar overhaul, buying top notch military equipment to renew and modernise its current Navy, Airforce, Army, and Special Forces, and even possibly a new addition, a Spaceforce.

A request has gone out for all contractors to take notice, so that they may supply the massive overhaul that will take place over the following years. The current total spending limit has been set at $11.7 Trillion Dollars.

OOC: I am actually a modern-tech nation, looking for mainly modern-tech equipment. I am looking for EVERYTHING, so any contractors will be welcome. Thanks heaps.

The Gorkonian Military has always felt pride in our men and equipment. We're not entirely sure of what it is that you're replacing, or specific items you're looking for, or even if you're looking for a single contractor, or are willing to split the contract bwtween multiple nations.

Well, whether or not it would be of use to you or not is another story, but all prototyping and testing of the Gorkonian G112 'Vandal' Light Tank has been completed; we have already commissioned 20 for ourselves. As a small nation we couldn't possibly hope to supply you with a complete military stockpile, but we can still probe for opportunities. We could possibly produce 200 G112's as an initial batch. Once profit has been made, subsequent batches could number 250 - 350 as we could then afford to import the materials. Of course, all this depends on the time restraints. If we begin immediately, with all factories working at full steam, and if we throw in the 20 we have already completed, we estimate the initial batch could be completed within 6 months, at a cost of $1,100,000 each. The statistics are listed on our regional board here (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/76247/page=display_region). Note, the other military items listed are in varying stages of completion / classification and are not 'up for grabs' as it were.

If you're interested, we'll begin work immediately. If not, no harm done.

Perhaps you'd be interested in our Jupiter Cannon?

Basically an enormous Howitzer mounted on a Satellite and loaded with Depleted Uranium Slugs, the impact of which can level an entire city and render it uninhabitable for years, the Jupiter Cannon is both deadly and affordable.

Current prices run to $2billion Imperial Wibbles, including Launch and setting the Cannon up in Geosynchronous Orbit...

Why would a DU slug make it uninhabitable for years?
Kihameria
15-07-2004, 15:50
Kihameria can produce planes, Migs, B-2s, anything you need, if you want the newest equipment the F-22 would be a good fighter, the F-117 and/or B-2 for stealth bombers, The B-1b for a fast bomber, and the good old B-52 for heavy bombing. for reconissance there is the SR-71 and AWACS for early warning.
these are just a few of what we make, tell us what you need, how many, and what you will pay and we will begin producing right away.

(ooc:Praetonia, you have a point it is depleted, how could it make a town uninhabitable ? i mean, if it was life uranium it might make mroe sense, but it would be a bit impractical due to radiation, but another type of metal would be bad, it needs to be heavy and go fast otehrwise it would get stuck in the aptnosphere[sp?])
Doujin
15-07-2004, 15:53
Doujinshi Corporation is currently looking for contracts - with many of it's shipyards empty now due to foreign trade being forbidden for the past 40 years, we are more than capable of handling any sized order :)

I'm working on a new website with all new updated information on all Doujinshi made ships and information on the Doujin Navy - and I'll have to search for the storefront :P

We would like to announce the making of a $2.8325 Trillian Dollar order at the Praetonian Storefront. Effectively, if the order is recieved and accepted, the spending limit will be reduced to a still whopping $8.8675 Trillion Dollars.

We would like to also announce that we intend to observe the Doujinishi Corporation for its products, but that we are now focusing on the Army, and Airforce aspect of things.

We would like to turn your attention to Arkangel'skie Voennye Sistemy, who is the Imperium's contractor for armoured vehicles. Their storefront can be seen here: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=302483

Also, there is one piece of armour that is not currently shown in their storefront. Here are the stats:

VIV-11 Lineman Fast Attack IFV
Armaments:
30mm ETC Vulcan [1,000]
2 10mm Chain Guns
2 Mini-Missile Launchers
2 Side-Mounted Korento ATGMs [8]
Crew: 2 (Driver, Gunner, plus one space for Comms Officers)
Troops: 12 in MkIII or MkIV SIBA (16 in normal battle dress)
Speed: 150 Mph All Terrain
Range: 750 Miles
Power Source: Scaled-Down VTOL Turbine using Methanol diluted JP4
Height: 12 Feet
Width: 16 Feet
Length: 28 Feet
Weight: 40 tons fully loaded
Cost: 6 Million
Design NOTES: The world's first hover IFV, it uses the same propulsion system as the now infamous Linebacker MBT. The main weapon on this IFV is a turreted 30mm ETC Vulcan that is very similar to the Vulcan mounted on the A-10 Warthog and with the addition of two Korento ATGM launchers it is fully capable of taking on tanks in its own right, although it would never survive a slugging match with any but the most outdated MBTs.

Depleted uranium is still mainly U238, it's just that the original U235 percentage is mainly depleted.

It's still radioactive, but uranium is an alpha emitter and alpha is stopped by a sheet of paper.

However like all heavy metals uranium is toxic, so the most post-blast deaths would be from poisoning from inhaling of uranium dust.

Very true. Also, the actual devastation caused by a DU Slug fired from Orbit would be enough to level buildings, destroy crops, contaminate water supplies, and so on.

We've been experimenting with other slugs- including Plutonium, Mini-Nuke, and Bio-War, but they're in extremely early testing stages and aren't for sale at the moment.

OOC: It's all academic since most Modern-Tech Nations don't recognise Orbital Weapons... but they are useful to have as a deterrent.

You can go to see the products LRR has to offer here (http://s6.invisionfree.com/International_Mall/index.php?showforum=26).

I strongly suggest you look at the Robert Byrd frigate and Halifax-I frigate at the bottom of the LRRN page, and the MBT-5 series of tanks on the LRRA page. The Il-79 on the LRRAF page might also interest you.

While LRR military equipment may be, on the whole, somewhat aging and low tech, it is all extremely reliable and will last much longer than other vehicles.

The Commarchist Nation has had a major reputation for providing 2001 technology aircraft, missles, engines, and LBTs, along with naval defences.

We could easily help with our TF-55 Merlin Hawk Air Superiority Fighter, and the new Mike-7 line of Anti-Shipping, Air to Ground, and Air to Air missles.

Along with our Airforce power, we also include LBTs, like the TA-1 TANTRUM, which can double as a LBT and an Amphibious Tank with a few switching of the buttons.

We can also perform a joint purchase.

Make a list of everything you like and how much of each item you wish, and we can work out a deal (reduced amounts in payment, a heavily reduced)

Chardonay
16-07-2004, 20:59
Chardonay produces two engineering tanks, the Petardier II Assault engineering tank with a 203mm cannon and infantry shelters, along with dozer blades and the Cave Bear Armored Engineering vehicle, which has a powerful minclearing plow, a power driven arm, extendable heavy bridges....

We also produce an excelent MBT, the Ocelot, which is a highly upgraded version of the Merkava IV.

Our 30mm sabot Anti Tank Rifle is perhaps the most powerful AMR in existance.

We have a line of 20 ton tankitas that are completely air-droppable.

Finally, we produce a line of over 10 different kinds of Zeppelins, including a heavy logistical transport capable of supporting two divisions on it's own, an engineering zeppelin, an AEW zeppelin, firefighting zeppelin, ABM zeppelin, C3I zeppelin, Medical zeppelin, and others.
