OOC:
This follows up from my bombing of Sevaris in the "Civil War in Roach-Busters"

I.C:
The nation is now split in two. On one side are those that would see General Jango's reign of terror stop. And the other side wishes to uphold him in power.

The revolutionaries wish to replace the facsist government with a fully democratic government.

The revolutionaries hold the west of Dimmimar, separated from the east by huge deserts and mountains.

The military supports General jango, apart from a legion of defectors that joined the revolutionaries. The Airforce is also in their hands, but the Dimmimaran navy has joined the revolutionaries.

The Fascits have little support with the people, having randomly executed 12,000,000 people for "routine cleansing".

The Fascits also live in splendour and huge mansions, the people live in squalor and poverty.

The revolutionaries promise to change that all. They have the popular support of the people.

As tensions mount a civil war is now brewing on the horizon....

This is most welcome news here in Sevaris, given the fact that our capital, Kalinsburg, was incinerated in the missile attacks. However, we cannot supply soldiers to the effort. We will, however, supply arms and equipment to the rebels from our many arms factories.

Meanwhile, as the first shipments of supplies leave Sevaris, Premier Mannerheim goes to the streets to attract volunteers to a Sevarian Expeditionary Force (SEF) to go to Dimmimar and help the revolutionaries. So far, 21,123 people have signed up. The goal is 100,000.

"So the idiot pokes his head out of his parapet. So it begins..."

General Jango counted on the fact that the Revolutionaries had no allies, or at least he hoped they did'nt.

Although the army and air force was in his control, he would have a hard time beating Dimmimar's collosal navy. The Deserts and Mountain passes were suseptible to ambushes, and with the support of the people wavering it was time for action.

The 23rd tank division was sent on a rountine patrol near the mountain passes. It never returned, being ambushed by the revolutionaries...

Comprised of five 10,000-man divisions, two of which were armored, the rest infantry. They were assembled at Port Vitsburg, ready at a moment's notice to set sail for Dimmimar.

Jida's leadership knew it had to make strong allies. Now was the opportunity. It was up to Jida's Minister of Foreign Affairs now, to negotiate a treaty that would allow the JFS to support the rightful regime of General Jango.

"General Crassus, the situation in Roach-Busters has dissapeared. However, there appears to be a problem in Dimmimar."

The High Council had recalled the General before he could set sail with the 25,000 men of the Expeditionary Force.

"They were scheduled to intervene on behalf of the insurgent government in Roach-Busters, and are now embroiled in their own civil war. The Council is preparing to send you and your men in support of the revolutionaries."

General Crassus raised an eyebrow. "Honoured sirs, Dimmimar is a strong nation. Will a mere five Legions be sufficient?"

There was some grumbling from a few of the more conservative Councilors. "Crassus, you will recall that General Valerian made do with far fewer men as an insertion force. You are only there to support the initial revolutionary cause. Remember that!"

General Crassus bowed and thanked the High Council.

"We must be careful of that Crassus, he is a warmonger and will seek any excuse to draw us into a prolonged conflict. Perhaps we should have sent Valerian?"

"Only time will tell the wisdom of our choices."

As General Crassus briefed the five Legates and two Consuls on the order of battle for the Dimmimar campaign, a pair of black-cloaked men snuck aboard his flagship.

"Remember, do not make our presence known to the Legions or the fleet. We are to watch and record, return to the Council with news of this campaign."

The junior officer nodded, and they were off to find shelter.

"As we near the coast, prepare for insertion of a cohort of Praetorians. We'll need to them to scout out the land and make preliminary engagement with enemy forces. Have the fleet made ready, we don't know what naval force will oppose us."

Missile tubes were loaded and systems activated to track a bubble around the fleet.

"Take a defensive formation. Transports to the back, cruisers to the forefront. If they're going to go for the men, they're going to have to go through us and come back. A crest should be the optimal formation to take. Respond only if they hail us."

General Crassus appeared on the bridge. "Damnit, I knew we should've brought the carrier along."

High Commander El Destrocto sat viewing a vid screen, a military advisor by his right shoulder stood deciphering the numbers that skipped across the screen. El Destrocto thoughtfully stroked his thick beard as he monitored the goings-on. There were a lot of changes occuring throughout Nationstates at the moment. After a number of weeks shying away from international incidents he felt now was the time to once again look outside La Extora's borders and begin to seek new allies.

Suddenly on the bottom right of the screen a red light started to flash. El Destrocto pushed a button on his keypad and a face appeared on the screen. It was his Minister For The Exterior, Mas Toli, a very wise and trusted advisor.

'High Commander it appears that there is a situation developing in Dimmimar that may warrant your attention', he began before explaining the situation there. ‘It seems that many other nations are getting involved, mostly lending support to the revolutionary faction.’

El Destrocto flicked off the screen and sat back in his seat. While he had previously had no relations with Dimmimar he hated to see a democracy come into power anywhere. It was time to get involved and make La Extora’s presence felt on an international scale once more.

Somewhere near Kimanian...

"Quiet, they'll hear us!" He whispered over the intercom.

"With all this static, I'm not so sure..."

"Just shut up!" He sighed in exasperation.

The 67th Tank division was rolling across the plains of Dimmimar. They had passed through the shadow of the mountain un-hindered, and were silently creeping-if such a word could be used for MBTs-forward.

At last they reached their target zone. The tanks came to an abrupt halt, and Commandante Rommolo steeped out of his tank. The lights of Kimanian were visible in the darkness, and if you strained you could make out Port Yangtre and the gently, rolling sea.

Without a command, the men hastily climbed out of their tanks, carrying pieces of artillery turrets.

"Assemble them" The Commandante said, in his rasping voice that stopped him from giving any clear command.

The men started to assemble the parts. It was no easy task, but 1/2 hour later they had made 9 EXOCET-IOP artillery pieces.

"Fire at will!" Commandante Rommolo screamed.

The artillery fired simeltaneously, trailing red streams as they rocketed through the air. Still they went on, until at last they found their target.

1/4 of Kimanian was levelled in that attack and the leader of the rebellion, Jeffery Cray was alas killed....

On board the Omega Class Battleships, the 12 24" guns of each of the two ships were prepared to fire. On board the multiple Land Attack Cruisers the huge Pole-axe LAM VLS batteries were activated and every smaller gun on every ship was prepared. The barrage began, hundreds of mobile artillery pieces firing a long drawn out fir of ordinance. On the ground the men smiled behind their ear muffs, they could be sure that the men in the fortress did not have the same protection.

To the defenders of the Fascist Citadel:

This is a call for your surrender. If you do not abide by this, we will shell your fortress into the ground. If you accept, I promise every man amnesty and humane treatment. I eagerly await your responce.

After a delay, the 25,000 man Sevarian Mountain Corps arrived at the Citadel. These soldiers are specially trained for fighting in mountains and mountain redoubts. Also, SAI-18s (basically improved and modernized A-4 Skyhawks) have been deployed to help shelling the Citadel.

"Come Jerry, I will show you the generator!"

"What generator!?"

"The nuclear one!"

He led Jerry down the steps to the generator. This place was old-but how old?

"The nuclear generator! We will overload it soon and destroy them all!"

"But our soldiers? Us! We will die!"

"All in a good cause Jerry, all in a good cause"

They started the mammoth task of overloading the generator.

"PULL BACK! PULL BACK," Cried an officer, as the Sevarian troops were scattering after the massed artillery strike. Roughly 2,500 had been taken out. They called in their own artillery, and SAI-14s began bombing the compound. Then, after they started firing back, some 1,400 Special Forces arrived for the ultimate task of attacking the fort.

Meanwhile, back at the Command Post....

An intelligence officer handed General Downing a report on the situation at the Citadel. What she read made her turn pale. "They're..going to sacrifice the compound? If that generator blows----anyone within 5 miles will be vaporized. We've not much time. May God help us all..."

The same scene was repeated across the fleet, following standard engagement pattern, 3 missiles were fired at each plane, different ships assigned to different numbers of planes dependant on their AA armament.

Rear Admiral: I almost pity the poor souls who try to attack this fleet.

The 600 Javelin missiles streaked across the sea at mach 2, travelling at supercruise inland and upwards towards the bombers. When they were within 15km they went to terminal velocity, at mach 3 they hurtled towards their targets. Some Praetonian missile scientists believed that the kinetic impact alone was enough to destroy a plane.
