The government is now holding elections for Secretary General.
Platforms:
Brezhnekov=continue working on improving economy, work closely with allies to deter international imperialism and oppose terrorism. Continue reforms of Welfare and healthcare systems, continue support of education system.

Adolph Mussolini Hitler (White Supremacist Party)=ban interracial marriage, legalize segregation, ban blacks and jews from white neighborhoods.

Gregary Killemall (WarHawk Party) =declare war on everyone else even our allies cause we can't trust any of them and it is our destiny to take over the world.

Jefferson Davies (Democratic Party) privatize everything, ban government funded healthcare, ban all education, abolish the entire welfare system. Free all the criminals.

General Ted Snider (Military Party)= impose martial law with a military dictatorship, abolish the Politburo. raise military salaries, give military priority over government assistance and pension plans.

Reverend Tim Dorfenkoff (Christian Fundamentalist Party) = legislate christian morality, force everyone to pay church tax to the Fundamentalist church, even people who not christians or any other religion. Ban all smut like prostitution, strip clubs, nudist beaches, and porn.

Ayatollah Rashid Abdul Caligula (Islamic Fundamentalist Party)= impose Islamic rule. Replace secular law with Sharia law. Behead women who show their legs. Whip and beat children who play video games. Execute couples caught kissing in public. Ban TV, radio, pork, and the internet. Ban all non muslim religions.

lol. It is Whittier's very first open election for Secretary General. Before this, the SG was always appointed by the Politburo.

In a breif statement today, Brezhnekov called on the Politburo to cut taxes.
He stated that Whittier has the highest taxes in the region and at a rate of 100% one of the world's highest.

General Ted Snider noted that the national economy had decreased recently under Brezhnekov's leadership. And that Brezh. never served in the military.

Jefferson Davies at his campaign stop said he would change the constitution to legalize abortion.

We'd hate to have them leaked to the media and you exposed. We suggest you drop out of the race, then the pictures might just magically disappear and the whole matter forgotten. Think it over, you'll still be a general and your imagine will remain intact."

Whittier handled "Killemall's" part, I handled "Young man"


A young man about 20 years old wearing a fancy suit approached Candidate Killemall, he was smiling. He said, "Excuse me, sir, may I have your autograph."

(Killemall) “Are you in support of attacking our enemies too?”

(Young Man) "Of course sir, I'm in favor of all that."

Killemall: “Can I borrow your pen?”

(Young man) "Of course." He reaches into his pocket, but rather than a pen he quickly pulls out a pistol and fires 3 rounds into Killemall, hitting him twice in the chest and once in the head. He screams "Hail Davies" before he turns the gun on himself. (Occ, this is an elaborate ploy to make Davies look bad)

The guards rush to Killemall's side, but he is already dead and in a few hours the media will be in a frenzy accusing Davies of assassinating opponents.

We regret to report the Killemall has just been admitted to Whittier General Hospital with several bullet wounds from what appears to be an attempted assassination. Witnesses says the gun shouted "Hail Davis" and fired three shots at Mr. Killemall before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities are now investigating the Davis campaign.

Note, "The Raven" is a super secretive Department of Internal Security Domestic Intelligence Operative, nobody knows his real name. He walks around shrouded in black, with a raven perched on his shoulder. Nothing much is known about him. He is the best assassin and spy in the CM intelligence services.

Snider heard a loud "caw" come from outside his front door. A raven was sitting near his front door, it dropped a message and flew away. "What happened to Killemall could easily happen to you. And I'm sure the public won't like a child predator and an adulteror, quit the race now or you can be disgraced, your image ruined, and then you can join Killemall in the hospital. Quit now and save your image and you skin."

One of the soldiers arriving looks up into a tree to see a raven and he smiles, then he adjusts his cap and walks along. The uniform is exactly the same sort that the general's officer of the guard would wear. The man adjusts his holster containing his pistol and moves along. He is wearing a lieutenant's uniform, he has excellently forged papers and documentation that could probably fool the president himself, so getting close to the general will be no problem. He will bide his time and wait.

The fundamentalists are now calling for holy war against each other and against the incumbent.

The first exit polls show Davis ahead with Brezhnekov tied with Snider for second place.
If this holds, Davis will become Whittier's first non socialist Secretary General.

The General doesn't show. Instead he stayed inside and with his lover and watched the results on the tv as they came in. His guards watching outside.

WNN reports that 12 hours remain before the poll closes.

General Snider was in his room; his 16-year-old mistress was kneeling down while he was moaning. There was a knock at the door.

(Raven) "Sir this is Lieutenant Johnson, 2nd Guards Platoon. News about the election."

Raven was still outside in the hallway; he was screwing a silencer onto his 9mm pistol.

(Raven) "General, sir. May I come in?"

(General) “No. I'm busy.”

(Raven) "It's about the election, very serious business."

(General) “Well, leave with my secretary.”

(Raven) "Yes sir."

"Raven" walks outside, he gets into his car, he calls a two ravens over to him, he rolls down the car window, he attaches a 4 oz bomb to a string, rigs it so it will go off when he wants it. He points to the general's open window. They fly through the window, he sees them, they land silently; the bomb goes off as "Raven" is driving away and presses the button to set it off.

The explosion kills the girl and throws the general against wall where he suffers injuries from flying debris. He is seriously injured. Having heard the commotion the guards rush into the room. One begins CPR on the general and another calls for paramedics. Seeing the grisly remains of the dead girl they both puke their guts out.

The two ravens had left just after setting the bomb down, the general's own moaning drowned out the sounds of them setting the bomb down and leaving. The ravens rejoin, "Raven" in his car about 1 mile down the road. He will continue on with his missions.

The paramedics rushed to the scene and began emergency first aid.
THey then put the general in an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital.

Brezhnekov has condemned the attacks as the work of ruthless terrorists and said the election will not be canceled but will continue.

Brezhnekov has addressed the nation.
The election will continue until it ends in 11 hours rl.
Meantime, special forces guards and secret service have assigned to guard the remaining candidates from attack.
Each candidate now has his own Secret Service detail. And armed soldiers follow Davis around everywhere he goes.
The nation is now on alert for further terrorist attacks.

For the first time in the election, Brezhnekov has moved ahead of his opponents.

There are just under 6 hours left before the polls close here in Whittier in what has been a very eventful but historic election. As a grim reminder that things can and do go wrong, Whittier's first election has been marred by several assasination attempts and the by kidnapping of the Secretary Generals's only daughter.
The other candidates have voiced solidarity with Brezhnekov in standing against what many whittierites see as an unjust violation of their national soverignty.

The Polls have closed.
All ballots have been counted.
Despite the terrorist attacks, there has been a high turn out.
NNN has received a report 20 minutes ago, that the election results have been certified. Alexander Brezhnekov III has successfully been reelected Secretary General of the United Socialist States of Whittier.
Again, Brezhnekov has won relection. Beating out his closest rival General Snider. With Democratic Party nominee Davis coming in a strong third.
Through out the nation, socialists are retaining their seats. With the Military and Democratic Parties also becoming the first opposition parties to actually win seats on the Polituburo and in the state legislatures. Before this time, it was illegal for non socialists to hold office.
