War?

The Zoogie People

After months of tense and strained diplomatic relations with Lashuga, there have been reports that legislature is considering passing a declaration of war or authorize extensive military action...in any case, it is a credible assumption that most members of legislature would support such an act...

More to follow - stay tuned...

"Sir," A young man with dark brown hair said to the king, "The Navy has just reported that a Zoogie People's supply ship being escorted by two oliver perry class ships has just entered Lashugese waters. The ship is holding guns and amuunintion and also Automobile parts. The ship is. on it's way to Redmire"

The tall aging man in the back of the room turned around and said, "Give them a taste of Lashugese hospitality. Fire MK-48 torpedoes to sink the Oliver Perry's then fire a loen RIM-67 SM-2 LASM at the middle of the tanker to split in half. If it doesn't split then fire MK-54s at the middle 'till it does." The Man then sat down at his chair and turned back toward the window.

The young marine then picked up his nextel i730 and radioed the two closet ships to follow the King's orders.

Thank you for all your offers, but Zoogiedom will put your considerations on hold for the present, save for Anarresa's, due to our nation's proximity. This is a regional problem that we are prepared to handle by ourselves.

(OOC - Sorry...It wasn't planned to incorporate many 3rd parties)

(OOC - The first post was made kind of in the middle...we're going back in time a bit now to supply the...ah...exposition. I think. Whatever the term is exactly...)

-

The supply ship cruised the waters comfortably, flanked by the two Perry frigates on their last voyage before returning home to be honorably retired, completely removing the Perry frigate from operation in Zoogiedom.

This voyage was hardly necessary, except the Navy had insisted a celebratory see-off cruise around the Isles, escorting various supply ships, for the two formerly combat-torn ships, returned fresh from Isla de Palata.

Naturally, the crew were just a bit lax. In the waters of the Isles, what could remotely harm them?

"Look, some surface ships," noted Chief Petty Officer Michael Walsh, looking at the sonar/radar input. "Lashugese...let's say hello to them."

He then prepared for a radio transmission when quite suddenly red alarm lights went off in the control room. Not again, he cursed under his breath. Third time this week...

He picked up the intercom and radioed to the sister ship, "Haven't your tech guys figured out yet what's wrong with that blasted - " he stopped short, thinking the intercom was returning only static. However, he soon realized that wasn't the case - people were shouting.

"Hello...?"

A crewsman rushed down and pulled him aside. "Your Seahawk's ready, sir!"

"Wha--?"

But he wouldn't be given answers. He was literally dragged all the way to a helicopter, and roughly thrown in. The helicopter lifted off at once, and before the thought of asking what the hell was going on even crossed his mind, he looked out the window and saw twin torpedoes blasting holes into his ship's side.

He looked at the other ship, but couldn't see it - black smoke had completely engulfed its hull, with flames licking away at what was left.

"What's happening?" he said sharply to the pilot.

"I wish I could tell you..."

Then he heard a loud whistling the sound, the sound of a high-speed jet engine. He scanned the skies, looking for friendly aircraft, but find none. A second later, a massive explosion diverted his attention: it wasn't an aircraft, it was an anti-ship missile, and it had ripped a devastating hole into the hull of the unprotected supply ship. This export ship weren't designed to be used in combat, and hardly at all prepared for an attack. No chance.

I'll post more when I get back...Nextel...I wonder, Lashuga :P Cingular has less static.

"Sir," The dark haired 20 something man stepped into the room again and turned to the blank expression of King Joshua, "The Perrys and the supply ship were sunk, but the navy saw a single seahawk leaving the ships. What's the next plan of action sir?"

The King's face narrowed, "Why, do you think that we want to further anger them. This was enough. Think of how many innocent lives we just destoryed in the name of national gain. Think about it."

This can't be the same man i just talked to and hour ago it must be a different man, the man thought, This has to be a double. There was a creak at the door and he turned around. It was Admiral Stephen Joesph IV.

"Officer Nils," the admiral addressed the young man,"you must come with me there is something you need to know."

Nils got up and started to walk across the room. At that point the king fell asleep. As Nils and the Admiral walked past the rows of secretaries Niels saw a nurse walk past with a metal pan with a white cloth on top. Underneath it there were shapes that looked oddly like syringes.

"We're here." The admiral said as he swung open two huge french doors. Inside the room their were many people typing furiosly at the keys in front of them. On the walls were Three monstrous screens one showed a brain cross section. Another seemed to monitor the amount of chemicals in something. The third was a live view of the King’s office. The nurse was injecting a redish liquid into the king. “A little known fact is that the king has two main things wrong with him, first off he has manic depression and second he has an even stranger chemical imbalance in his brain which makes him feel one way about something one day and a total different way the next on the same topic. These people here are set up to monitor his health and to see how he’s doing. You must never reveal this to anyone, you are dismissed”

Nils walked out of the room in utter amazement.

Ooh! A bipolar/schizophrenic king...interesting...

Walsh was now communicating to the copilot of the helicopter via walkie talkie. Hmm....nice ring :P

-
Thirty minutes later

"So," radioed the co-pilot, "I think this is a suitable place."

"What?" said Walsh blankly.

"Right," said the pilot. "The wind's picking up, we better do it soon."

"Do what soon?" repeated Walsh, more insistently this time.

The only other passenger, another Chief Petty Officer, answered him. "We took off in a moment's notice. We weren't ready."

"Weren't ready for wha - you're kidding."

"We don't have nearly enough fuel to reach anywhere."

Walsh gulped, and stared at the breaking waves. "Jump!" ordered the co-pilot.

-

Defense minister Brian Dredon was the first to get the news, and was raving mad by the time the secretary finished his sentence.

"Lashuga? You're kidding. They're our allies."

"Apparently not."

"No."

"They sunk three ships, sir, with countless casualties on our side."

"Call Mr. Doe. I need every DENP operative in Lashuga to get to work immediately and every DENP operative we can send there to go ASAP. We need intelligence...we need evidence...solid evidence..."

"This is William Ciel and I deman to kno-" The president was cut off short

"Wait, your who?" Joshua inquired.

"Oh god, this is the President of Zoogiedom. And I demand to know why you destroyed three of our ships!"

"Well you see, our relationship is kinda like the pitcher catcher relationship in baseball. I throw you the ball you throw it back. But it seems that someone kept the ball."

"What are you talking about?!" Ciel Screamed.

"YOU DON'T REMEMBER! You don't remeber when I gave you 23 million dollars for one of the Zoogie Fighters. and you and Luca Brazi shot me. I still have the scar on my leg."

LNN NEWS-Hello this is Peter Rather filling in for Dan Brokaw. Is it just me, or am I the only Miss Pacman Lover around?

Lashuga released a transcript proudly of a phone conversation between President Ciel and the Lashegese king. Zoogiedom would now like to refute this false presentation of the President's temper, and assure you that he was much more diplomatical.

On the other hand, we will not deny the rude remarks by his counterpart in Lashuga.

We would also like to add that we have not had an aircraft so cheap in a long time.

-

Uh-oh.

What's wrong?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh$$$!@!#E??!??!

-

Salvage crews recovered the remains of a SH-60 that apparently crashed into the seas, circumstances unknown but not likely to be solely fuel shortage. There are three confirmed deaths, although the Coast Guard retrieved one crewsman, who is currently under questioning and remains anonymous.

Reconaissance and electronic equipment offer conclusive evidence - particularly in the form of photographs and radar logs - of Lashugese involvement. The Cherub Intelligence Agency released a comprehensive report that confirms this, beyond a reasonable doubt.

Satellite images show a mobilisation of Lashugese military forces. In response Zoogiedom's own have been called up for mobilization and possible deployment, while alert level and elements of the military of Zoogiedom remain on high.

-

Defense minister Dredon slammed his fist on the table. "This has to be sponsored by the Lashugese government. Has to."

"We don't have conclusive - "

"Never mind evidence. We need to extract our ambassador...Mr. Doe."

He acknowledged a rather mysterious man standing in a dark corner of the room. "Mr. Doe, people have doubted your intelligence agency's purpose since its inception. Show them what you were made to do."

The man nodded - he was head of the DENP agency, an acronym that was never disclassified, but in actuality stood for definitely everyday normal people. His name, quite by coincident, we assure you, happens to be John Doe. The DENP was composed of thousands of elite operatives that were able to extract information and inflict damage on their own, through infiltration. This would be their first major operation.

"We have fourteen in Lashuga presently, and thirty more are being flown in," he began. "We can extract the ambassador, I guarentee you. It's getting them back to base I'm worried about."

The only place for the agents to go subsequently would be to a small military outpost, the only one currently in Lashuga and still under construction. Only helicopters and very few army units were there; none that could reach Zoogiedom carriers or other bases.

There was also the question of the moving of military units by Lashuga to areas near the embassy, as satelitte photos have evidenced.

At last, the defense minister spoke again. "What's their deadline?"

"It's in two hours."

"Then let's get back to planning."

-

A single infiltration aircraft, smothered in anti-radar paint and embellished with the latest advanced Kazakh-Zoogie active ECM systems directly ported from another project, streaked across the sky at 35,000 feet over Lashuga. It was a C-240 aircraft, but one of its kind, and so transformed on the inside and out that it resembled the production model in little except overall for - and even that had been modified.

Thirty-two DENP agents and sixty armed paratroopers were located inside. The paratroopers had been dropped minutes earlier in close proximity to the Zoogie military base, and the DENP agents were nearing their drop point.

Their job was to spread throughout the city and try to neutralize Lashugese military units to facilitate an extraction that had already been planned.

"Two hours. Move."

The rear bay of the aircraft opened, and thirty agents dropped from it.

-

Meanwhile, on the next closest base in Lashuga, two F-16D aircraft were being armed and readied for combat - that wasn't the frightening part. The frightening part was that that was all that could be mustered for the time being.

"What is your problem?" The ambassador asked to the terrorist.

"Shutup!" Jermaine Smith, the head terrorist, screamed while pistol whipping Doe, "If you don't shutup, I'm gonna blow your F------ head off!" Smith held the Mauser M2 to the ambassador's head. "I told you! If you don't shutup I'm gonna blow off your head!"

Three men armed with Winchester 1300s walked into the room and steadied their aim on the ambassador.

"Wha-Wha-what are you gonna do to me." The ambassador was shaking in fear.

"If we so much as hear one gunshot downstairs...it's your blood, and now the world knows too."

"Sir, Zoogiedom has sent DENP agents to get the ambassador."

"New objective," Smith said, "Kill Mr. Ambassador over here if the DENP so even just set foot on the Embassy's property. But kill him with this then burn the body.

Smith tossed a PP-90M1 and a lighter to the man in the middle. He then left.

OOC - DENP is supposed to be secret. You aren't supposed to know...ah well. I suppose I can announce my intentions to uh...infiltrate. :P

Minutes before the crack of dawn

A UH-60 began to touch down as quietly as possible on the roof of an embassy, attempting to mask its noise in every way conceivable. Instead of actually touching down, however - it would involve killing the rotor and eliminating the noise before restarting it, and this contrast would be more noticeable than the steady dull hum it currently produced - a side hatch slid open and five figures dropped down from it. All five were down by the next five seconds, having rappeled successfully and releasing the rope. The helicopter quickly climbed to a higher altitude and flew as quickly as possible back to the only Zoogiedom military base in the area.

The five figures were in quasi-military suit; they weren't marines, but were armed and dressed for combat operations. Suits may do for basic intelligence gathering, but were rather inefficient and porous (bullets tend to pierce suits very easily) for infiltration ops.

Johnson. That was the name - or supposed name - of the leader of the operation. He lead the other DENP agents to a ventillation area. Pulling off the iron (lid? I think that's the right word), they peered down, viewing the area through infrared lenses. There was little crawlspace, so the smallest member of the team was selected to enter.

With an array of gadgets, the agent quickly and silently neutralized all the supports holding the ceiling tile in place and slid it aside. Only the relatively thin cement (cement? I think so) layer was left. He did this to a few other ceiling tiles so that there was plenty of space to enter into the building.

Meanwhile, another ventillation space had been found, this one right above the top floor, right above the room where the ambassador was held, according to the best intelligence available. The same work was applied to this area; and in only ten minutes all five agents were preparing their armaments. One of them prepared to drop via rope to hover right outside the room in question.

All agents made silent hand communication, and began their respective duties. The first dropped down and hovered around the window, and electronically signalled for the others to continue.

Johnson and the two men accompanying him activated an aray of explosive devices planted on top of the cement. Then one of them took out a small hand grenade, pulled the link, and tossed it down through a smoothly carved hole in the cement.

A moment later, an explosion rocket the building as a hole was blasted in the ceiling. It wasn't the most stealthy way they could enter the building, but it wasn't necessary to be stealthy.

The three agents dropped in through the roof and landed in a hallway. They navigated toward the ambassador's office, where he was being held, and waited outside the door. No sooner had they done this than another explosion shook the building, this time in the room itself. It was much smaller than the last one, and one agent dropped into the middle of the roof. He was already armed and ready, surveyed the scene in a second's notice, taking advantage of his element of surprise, and shot the lone guard in the forehead.

"Hello, ambassador," he said, and walked over and opened the door. All five agents were now in the room, and had retrieved their object. They could already begin to hear the sound of helicopter rotors that were coming to pick them up.

"We don't have much time," noted Johnson. "If you would, please..."

They led the ambassador to the roof and signalled to the friendly helicopters.

Embassy

"What the hell was that?" Smith screamed and turned around almost in an instant as he heard two explosions on the upper floors. He almost instantly dropped the Berretta 9000S he was holding and grabbed his RPG-7VR and ran out the main entrance of the building.

In the sky he saw two helicopters, one massive rescue helicopter and a smaller attack helicopter. Smith raised the RPG onto his slodier and fired one grenade at the attack helicopter. It almost instantly Crashed to the ground, but smith wasn't wathcing. He was too busy reloading the RPG. When it was he raised it to his shoulder again and fired at the larger rescue helicopter.

This time the grenade only blew off the back of the helicopter causing it to spin out of control.

The pilot made a quick manuveur and landed on the spacious roof of the Grand Muntja Hotel. Everyone got out, except for johnson. His belt was stuck. But the others couldn't see that all they had on their mind were saving the ambassador.

They all ran to the stairs. But when they got to the stairs they were greeted by a Lashugese SUWS, special urban warfare soldier.

"I'm so glad to see you." Said one of the men.

The soldier raised a Sphinx 3000 tactical pistol and shot the man in the neck. He then shot the rest of the people there including the ambassador all in the neck.

Johnson ran over to the stairs from the helicopter as soon as he heard the gunshots and fired four shots into the body of the SUWS.

I hope that's a shoulder-launched SAM and not a rocket-propelled grenade you're using on a helicopter ;)

-

The UH-60 extraction helicopter was escorted by a single AH-1, just in case. At any rate, there wasn't much else to be offered.

"Touching down," radioed the pilot of the UH-60, when alarms began to scream in the cockpit of both of them. They were being tracked by SAMs. But where?

They didn't have time to answer - a shoulder launched missile screamed upwards and slammed into the underbody of the light attack helicopter. The job of the UH-60 suddenly became that much more urgent.

"Hurry!" shouted a soldier, emerging from the inside of the UH-60, now hovering dangerously over the roof by only a few feet. The extraction was quick; everyone was loaded in and the helicopter made its egress at the fastest speeds possible.

However, from the streets, Lashugese anti-air artillery began sending flak into the sky, causing the helicopter to perform dangerous and reckless jink manuevers. Another SAM screeched by, narrowly missing.

"Jink!" called the co-pilot again, but this time, they miscalculated. The helicopter grazed the roof of what appeared to be a hotel, and in a moment's panic, it crashed into it.

"I guess we'll have to take the stairs," muttered the pilot in resignation.

"Arm yourselves!" barked Johnson to the other DENP agents and the single soldier. "Go on!" He tugged at his seatbelt. It was stuck.

The others had already reached the entrance down into the building through the stairs. They opened the door, and halted. A uniformed Lashugese officer stood in their way, but he smiled congenially, beckoning.

Raising a bewildered eyebrow, the soldier began to follow...but he had not yet taken too steps when the man pulled out a pistol and shot him, sending him writhing to the ground. The DENP officials were slightly more cautious, though, and it spared them. With their trained reflexes, they immediately took down the Lashugese officer, only to be met by a stream of heavy arms fire. Several were hit, including the ambassador, although two of the DENP people escaped scratchless. Grenades were tossed up, and then another Lashugese soldier arrived, sealing all of their fates.

All except one.

At a long last, Johnson untangled his seatbelt. Furious, he reached down to his ankle holster and retrieved a Walther. He carefully hopped out of the helicopter, trying to make as little noise as possible, and peered around the side. The lone Lashugese SUWS officer had yet to notice him.

Throwing himself around the helicopter wreck, he began a reckless sprint at the Lashugese man, and by the latter noticed him, he didn't have a chance. Johnson quickly dispensed with the man and salvaged what he could from the bodies strewn on the ground and the helicopter.

He knew that with the military presence, there was no point in calling for aid from Zoogiedom forces. He would have to turn into a civilian. Sighing, he started down the stairs, gun still drawn but ready to be concealed.

Scott Ross siped his coffee. Unlike other mornings he needed it. (Usally he drank it out of habit even while throughly awake) He hadn't slept much the night before. Too many things to think about, someone had sunk a convoy of Zoogie ships. But its was too complicated, why would any isles nation in their right mind attack a convoy from Zoogie? Didn't all the nations of the isles have friendly relations? He turned on ANN, he was tired of thinking about this, it was time to let the media do the thinking and the reporting for a while. At the time it was a small debate about who had been behind the attack, there didn't seem to be any agreement. The depate lept from the little dictatorship Redmire, to Drizzits Army, and finally to Lashuga, in whose waters the attack had occured and where the Zoogie ambassador was being held hostage.

"What a mess," he said to himself

Suddenly, his thoughts were interupted by the ring of his phone. He walked to the phone and lifted it up.

"Hello?"
"Scott its me"
"Whats going on Matt? your using that 'oh crap' tone again"

"What?"

Anarresa urges Redmire not to execute such an attack. We strongly suggest diplomatic actions be taken on the part of every side to avoid a conflict. But we still support Zoogiedom's actions and trust them to make the right decision.

Yeah, bumps detract from the overall look and feel of the thread :P

Militarily, I would like only Anaressa to be involved, aside from me and Lashuga...it wouldn't be fair otherwise, his government went IC-ly insane, nobody in their right mind would go on his side...

in Redmire

It was the absolute dead of the night, and a small network of intelligence officials were infiltrating into the Redmire government regarding concerns of chemical and biological weapons - rumors they had heard.

They had scanned and hacked their way into the inner reaches of the government, and now they only required to locate a document as evidence. That was what the DENP was for.

A single man quietly dropped through roof of the highest security Redmire vaults - cameras and security having been disabled. He had been told everything he needed to know, and within half an hour had located the necessary papers.

He climbed out - simple, effective, and quick.

Maybe so, but we have the resources to deal with everything. Of course, after all is said and done, the tracks can't be wiped clean...but you can't tell whose tracks.

so what your saying is you attacked civilians? (The Civil Defense group guards installations and is made up of civilians with moderate training)

Well...I suppose they would be civilians, but I don't regard any trained, weapon-carrying guy guarding something to be a civilian (if he's on government orders and charged by the government to carry a weapon and trained by the government to use it...well...)

Anywho, we wouldn't have killed any guards. We would have just stupified them for as long as necessary.

We prefer knock-out tear gas...but vodka...interesting.

It was a hellish night for the Zoogies at the military base. They hadn't the resources and manpower to repell the Lashugese takeover, although it wasn't swift and smooth.

A massive batallion of forces rolled in in blitzkrieg-esque style, even as the Zoogies scrambled to prepare a last ditch defense effort. Tens of tanks stormed forward, firing rounds randomly and causing much more chaos than actual effective damage. Howitzers from afar blasted the fortified walls and bunkers, destroying the effective use of the base.

The Zoogiedom response was either valiant or foolish; it's difficult to tell which. Several tanks and APCs were manned, running rampantly and wildly into the enemy ranks and blasting the Lashugese forces with stunning efficiency, as long as they remained alive. However, the overwhelming enemy was quick to dispose of the majority of these vehicles and broke the soldiers' morale.

Ground forces lined up and manned artiller and 50-caliber guns to repel the Lashugese forces, lobbing grenades and firing RPGs at the vehicles fast approaching. This worked; groups of Lashugese soldiers were mowed down; jeeps and other light vehicles were puckered full of holes, and some heavier armoured vehicles lit up like candles.

Yet the Lashugese still had the advantage of sheer brute force. The damage dealt to them was insignificant as one by one the gunners were picked off with the air covered in bullet rounds. Lashugese marines hopped out of the back hatch of the APCs, and returned fire in enormous quantities. A former military base was turned into an urban warfare zone, as Lashugese forces took losses from sniper-esque, door-to-door fighting, but these were light and didn't hamper their overtaking of the base.

Lashugese forces preserved and captured 17 armoured vehicles, including 4 main battle tanks, and numerous artillery pieces and small arms. Additionally, one RAH-66, slightly damaged, was determined to be operational. The spoils of war were rather mangificent strategically speaking, although no sensitive documents/logistical information could be used to their advantage after it had been destroyed in the hours of fighting.

Out-of-context-loss-tally is as follows:

09 M1A2 Abrams MBTs
27 other armoured vehicles
02 MH-53 helicopters
06 Other helicopters

67 of the Army Forces died, 29 marines, and 22 of the paratroopers that had been airdropped. A total of 13 were taken captive.

Colonel Jack Carter sat on the steps of Jornis military base, thinking, thinking of all the things he could've been instead of a killer, a liar, and a Colonel. His happy days right out of high school, graduating as validictorian, wanting to go to Quagil University, the premier college in Lashuga, to be a tort lawyer, but instead heading off to High Point, to serve his nation.

"Sir," A greasy haired kid ran up to him, "Intel back home says that two F-15s are coming."

"Well don't just stand there!" Carter screamed, "Shoot them out of the bloody sky."

Almost immediately, the news of the devastating attack broke through the chain of command, and a quick response was ordered. Two armed F-16s from the nearest Zoogiedom airfield would be sent to scout out the area, and the joint chiefs of staff would formulate a more developed response based on the reconaissance data.

The Falcon squadron made its ingress towards Jornis military base, and dropped five thousand feet in altitude to Angels Eleven. They performed a quick recon sweep, and relayed the information back to command.

Pulling up, the fighters split in two directions for a U-turn and a second sweep over the area.

Without warning, Lashugese air defense sprang into action, and within seconds flak lit up the air. The aircraft performed evasive manuevers quickly, even as several SAM missiles were fired at each of them. The first Falcon was shot down, and the second released its payload in desparation on the Lashugese armoured forces below, before it, too, was taken down by AAA fire.

S'alright, it's only trade. Zoogiedom corporations are only delighted to open up trade with Drako-Eden. Check your TGs, Lashuga.

DDN-101 'Cascader'

Men! You are now at war. Your lives outside the military are absolutely inconsequential. The only thing that matters now is the objectives that we lay out for you in the briefings. Remember! Remember that you are at war!

The resounding cry was broadcast over the entire fleet as it made full steam towards the waters of Lashuga to engage the navy. Four fleets had been dispatched to take care of the brunt of the Lashugese naval resistance and establish air superiority enough to land ground forces on Lashuga in order to topple the order there

Admiral Henry Gately, whose older cousin was joint chief of the Navy, was placed at the head of this operation and in command of the First Fleet. One of the youngest admirals in the history of Zoogiedom, was determined to succeed. His most recent military campaign had been years ago, before he was an admiral, in Isla de Palata; it was where he had earned his stars: when the Zoogie forces returned to the conflict.

He cast his gaze over the deck of the DDN-101 Cascader, a devastatingly large trimaran in its first combat operations. Everything they'd trained for, everything they'd worked for, would come down to this. His face was contorted with determination.

Admiral? A voice interrupted him from his thoughts. He turned around, and saw the lower admiral in charge of the carrier of the fleet.

Yes, he said at last. It is time...commence the attacks!

From the fleet's Peltast-classes (Arsenal) missileslinger, VLS hatches opened and let loose a storm of two hundred sea-launched cruise missiles, designed to strike at Lashuga's military command centers, radar installations, and underlying infrastructure. Screw up their ability to counter, and to respond.

Gately turned his gaze back to the deck of his Doujin-class dreadnought, and watched as fighter squadrons began launching from the decks. It was a sight to be seen...

Jaganda - Capitol City

President Ciel stood in front of a hushed and anxious crowd of reporters, cameras flashing from hundreds of points in the room. He took the podium, cleared his throat, and began.

"I will be brief," he said. "The evil empire of Lashuga has willfully engaged in numerous actions that threaten and have compromised our national security. They have destroyed the lives of ours servicemen, and our civilians. They have launched a fullscale military operation against our forces.

"The time has come to return fire. We did not wish for this time to come, but the situation has been forced upon us. Today, we shall take up arms against the Lashugan forces. Today, we shall drive them back...and tomorrow*, we shall be victorious.

"The Senate and the House have both unanimously passed a declaration of war against Lashuga, and this declaration I have signed. May the Zoogies prevail!"

And so, newspapers around the nation scrambled to headline their afternoon editions - War declared on Lashuga

* : A metaphorical, as opposed to literal, tomorrow.

Scandavian States...oops. Not too good with ship designations...I'll go change it to SDN.

IDF, the Lashugese government attacked a supply ship escorted by two frigates for no good reason at all; then proceeded to support a storming of the unprotected Zoogiedom embassy; and then proceeded to launch an unprovoked massive attack/takeover of a small Zoogiedom military base in Lashuga.

We think this is more than sound reason for war.

Cammmunistika, a fairly small nation at this time (but progressing fairly well) will join sides with Lashuga because of the contributions the Lashugaies government has given Cammunistika.
"Lashuga, my vowed commander, my army and men are at your disposal, dont think the money and training you have given my people will account for nothing! I also have a proposal to make, all nations on Lashuga's side should be admitted into the Lashuga Allience. My country, men, and equiptment are fully at your disposal!"
This was a message TG'd to the Lashugan government by Cammunistikas president.
