With the growing of the Soviet Armed Forces,The Soviet Ministry of Defense has ordered that the entire army be reorganized.The nation of Malatose will be split into 6 Military Districtions and 5 Air Districts.

The Soviet Reservist combat readiness program will be modified.Reservist are ordered to attend combat training 40 times a year to keep combat readiness and Flight time will be increased for Pilots.

SAM systems located around the nation will be placed under control of the Air Defense Ministry,along with some MiG-29SMTs and MiG-31Ms for Air Defense.

The ICBMs will be organized under the Soviet Missile Ministry.The old ICBMs in the country are slowly being fazed out and new ones brought into service.

The Soviet Navy will recieve more funding to support the ever growing force.2 More Aircraft Carriers will be commissioned soon to retire some older ones.

Newly created Director of the Choson People's Republic of Dra-pol (AKA North Korea) Comrade Secretary Hotan expresses the nation's congratulations on and admiration of the Soviet armed forces in their reorganisation. With Kuro Progress driving the CPRD from its long-standing state of absolute isolation, DaKhiem (the capital, east of Pyongyang) wishes an exchange of ambassadors with the Soviets, and as part of the move Hotan has sent to the Soviet premier a diplomatic gift in the form of a traditional Drapoel short sword (short perhaps mainly because the Drapoel are a tiny people), supposedly built more than a century ago.

The first item on the agenda of any Drapoel ambassador to Malatose, incidentally, will be the Republic's great interest in SA-20/S-400 Triumf SAM batteries apparently available to the Soviets...

Four B-52s took off from the base, and started heading for Malatose. Arriving near Soviet airspace, they started circling near Malatose territorial waters.

Meanwhile, Bonstocknian satellites looked in on the distribution of Malatose air defenses, as well as population and production centers.

DaKhiem has invited the Soviets to establish an embassy in Seoul, which is undergoing major reconstruction even now. Of course, even Soviet diplomats will find movement through the CPRD to be severely restricted, partly by the near total lack of infrastructure outside the occupied ROK territories, and partly by one of the world's largest armed forces and most infamous secret police (the Banat). They will find that Seoul's embassy district, near the new local government centre, is quite a swanky affair, being as Seoul is now one of the showcase cities of the Kurosite paradise. Unescorted access to the countryside is a big no-no.

Meanwhile, the Drapoel ambassador sent to Malatose, Sho Sulu, has already sought to convey his government's interest in the SA-2-/S-400 Triumf fielded by Soviet armies. During the recent War for Korean Unification, Dra-pol's three Beth Gellen-built CS-400, an improved version of the system, was about the only really effective defence thrown up against the attackers. Attempts to acquire more have fallen foul of funding problems and political opposition in the vendor nation. Hotan wants anything from six to more than twenty further batteries of comparable systems, such as the S-400, production of which is beyond the capacity of the CPRD's narrow, isolated technological base.
