Euroslavia

"The old ways have come to pass as a new era enters."
Ever since Euroslavia went through its 2nd, devastating civil war, there hasn't been a complete legitimate government in the lead. It was 5 years ago, that Euroslavia sealed itself off from the world in order to right what had been done wrong. Things have changed, and the military came to power, in a respectful manner. There was no military takeover, the old government had gone bankrupt, and had fallen. Things turned bleak for Euroslavia. No one was sure if they would continue to exist as a seperate, sovereign nation. Attacks from other nations were expected by the overwhelming majority of the populace. Thank God it never came to be true. Over the span of 5 years, Euroslavia was majorly influenced by the Far Eastern Powers, governmentally and culturally. Many changes took place.
First Change: Euroslavia was established into four districts/zones, the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Zones. Each zone has a military advisor, called a Kinshi, who governs the zone of his/her own. The leader of the nation, who is still publically elected is the Shogun of the nation of Euroslavia.
Second Change: Each zone is protected completely by the military. Practically every store, marketplace, and bank are guarded by these militiamen who have been trained in modern styles of war, and in old, traditional ways (using a sword, or staff). Each citizen is instilled with a strong sense of pride in their nation, as it still maintains its democratic roots, and true power to the people. There is a cost though. Every citizen is subject to random searches in their belongings. There is a strong bond between the new government and the people, as they allowed the bill to pass by an overwhelming majority (84% voted yes).
Third Change Having to do with the 2nd Change, each citizen is strongly attached to the new government, and having thrown away the old laws of the old Western democracy. If you attack Euroslavia, on its own territory, expect an extreme amount of guerilla warfare.
Fourth Change This is basically a policy change in relations with other nations. Basically, Euroslavia's Shogun is very hesitant in joining in any sort of alliance, or organizations. He doesn't want his nation to get involved in a conflict with any nation it doesnt need to confront. He needs few allies, but the few allies that the Shogun chooses, he sticks by as if they were a brother. Anything they need, will be given to them. Currently, Euroslavia's new government wishes to open new relations with others, as the old alliances have faded away with the old government.
