War games are currently being held by Hard Rock Beyond.
I invite any nation into these games. They are designed to point out a nation's weak points, increase military strength, teach you how to RP without being a godmod, and helps you practice wars without losses on either side.
If you would like to join, please post a message.

I'd like to participate. However, there is currently a civil war going on in my nation, so one of my puppets will have to do it for me, just as soon as I figure out how to fix the damn auto-log in...

The Department of Defense Of Triancia wishs to send a contingent of troops to these wargames, in order to sharpen our skills and demonstrae the Strength of the Triancia Military.
I am assuming that this will be modern tech, because it does not say otherwise. I have been a space tech player for a while and have been interested in getting into modern tech RPing. I figure this would be a good place to start. Since I have not RPed on a modern tech level, I have not organized all of my military technology yet. So, until I get a modern storefront up, I will post the general info on anything that does not explain itself.
With that said, I would like to take part.

The Anime-Otakus Self Defence Forces (AOSDF) would like to send a contingent of observers to the war-games. Is that permissibile?

OOC: Roach-Busters and Triancia, would you like future or modern tech? And, Anime-Otakus, yes it is, and any nation may observe the war games. Anyone else, please telegram me (Hard Rock Beyond) if you wish to join, and I cannot update the first because it will not let me update.

OOC: Although i wouldn't class myself as an NS veteran, i've been here a while RPing modern tech and a little post-modern 2025-2035 tech. But i need to get back into the wars around here, so count me in.

Due to the scale of our armed forces, our troops have lost touch with smaller deployments and their effectiveness, as such, we will only deploy a limited force into the conflict, values of which will be discussed with whom so ever our opponent may be. (OOC2: I'll match the numbers of my opponent)
Oh, so there is a Future tech option? Oh well, I will stick with modern. I need a change. What are the rules for the modern tech War Games?

The hive requests informations regarding limits to force size. Venue of the competition and weapon systems that are allowed.
Gronde agrees with Imodius. Rules of forces and procedure would be greatly appreciated.

Grr... the last post didnt appear... but anyways... not gonna try that again. But anyways, in MT, you are either American or Russian. Or, in FT, you play as Star Wars or Star Trek.

HUH? I thought this was in order to trial our own systems? I dont use star trek / wars tech my nation is 100% organic (except zealots but they are just lupy bastards.)

Actually, these are war games. They are being hosted to teach a newbie or anyone to RP, or RP better, to have a little fun without losing anything, and to raise money for military budgets in a competative manner. For example, you win $10 Billion NSC (NationStates Currency) for getting past your first fights. There are more awards coming, such as a $1 Trillion NSC for winning all your rounds and beating or making your opponet surrender. It is also to stop 'super weapons', such as shields (in MT) and super huge spaceships with cloaking, and warp 10, thousands of lasers, and being like 10 miles long.

Then count me out. I'm not gonna use American technology. War games are primarily used to help teach nations how to deal with differing technology. I have systems that could devastate American and Russian technology easily, so would need different tactics to get around.

I think it would be okay to RP your country in character, so long as you use Modern technology of Eastern or Western Blocs?
I think it would be okay to RP your country in character, so long as you use Modern technology of Eastern or Western Blocs?
We wouldn't need to do that either. Just set a $$ budget limit on the forces we can use. Like if a modern tech player wanted shields, they would need to spend a huge ammount of money and would have a smaller force. If I can't use my own unique military style, then I'm out.

agreeing with gronde (we seam to be getting on for once :) )
agreeing with gronde (we seam to be getting on for once :) )
yay! :D Maybe it's because we are not going to be fighting eachother because you are going future tech and I am trying out my Modern Tech system. Hence why I want to be able to use it and try it out before it goes into real action. I wanted to make sure it was efficient and consistant but not godmoddish. The Corpsac War games was the first RP that I ever took part in and I definantly think that it helped me out.
