The Emperor's bodyguard punched the translator and threw him to the ground.

The other guards and the crowd was shocked that the foreigner had not bowed when he spoke to the Emperor. Only rebels and thugs did such things.

“Well should we hike in or take the hummer?” asked head scientist Donald Kingly. One of the soldiers smiled, a gesture that was lost in the face plate of his protective head piece.
“I like making impressions. Besides, it’d be tactically unsound to needlessly surrender mobility.” Donald looked thoughtful for a moment and then sighed.
“I suppose if we are to build an embassy here to observe the culture of these people then we need to get them use to us. Well let’s hit it, no faster the 65 Kmph, I don’t want these people shitting themselves.” At that the powerful engine of the H1 came to life and the vehicle sped towards the capital.

The men at the chopper touch down point where lifting prefabs into location while hefting sand bags around heavy machine gun emplacements. These were only precautions of course, but the fifty caliber machines gun with their seventy two hours of ammunition was sure to be more than enough to protect this camp. It took merely an hour but the command structure was in place, it’s polymer sides looking strangely out of place a mere ten kilometres from this archaic architecture. With the men busy working away at setting the rest of base camp up the commander of the mission began to dial through the radio channels to see if he could pick up the Liberal John Jacob frequency, it’d be good to talk to them to see what they were doing here.

The WSS Sakura was . . . a peachpit. In fact, it was a very big peachpit. A peachpit the length of a football field and studded with weaponry, amongst other things. Fying gun platforms were not very popular with most nations. Then again, most nations did not take their studies of the unorthodox and the orthodox as far as Weyr did.

"That's a lot of ships," Alchemist Storm commented. He was sitting in his usual chair on the Sakura's bridge -- a large half-circular room with many screens, consoles, and techs.

"Yep," Captain Gerard Squall nodded, watching the navy currently parked off shore on the giant projection screens that filled the bridge of the Sakura. "Take us down, let's see what this whole mess is about," he commanded.

"Down aye," the pilot responded.

"Jo, get a team ready, and make sure one of them knows Ancient Chinese."

"Why?" Lieutenant Josiah Nash asked.

"Call it a hunch?" Gerard grinned, leaning back into his chair as the Sakura inclined its nose downward, angling toward what appeared to be the largest plaza in the city that was now sprawling beneath them.

"Gotcha," Josiah stalked out of the bridge.

The Sakura was landing, if it could be caled a landing. It hovered perhaps fifty meters in the air, its many sails and rotors humming and glinting in the daylight.

The planes flew low over the outskirts of the city. They would be visible too the men at the palace but would still be over the farming area of the city. The soldiers camee down in the farmland surprising the farmers. The heavy weapons specialist paratrooper ran too theeir weapon cases too retrieve their mortars, rocket launchers and light machine guns. Once the soldiers had gotten their weapons they took prisoner the farmers, secureed the perimeter, and began to build a makeshift airstrip.

OOC:When my soldiers go into combat they wear gas masks and wear body armor.

The guards at their posts bristled and looked on as the Red Tide2 soldiers began to round up the indigenous peoples of this country.
“Sir we need to stop this!”
“We are not authorized to fire the first shot. Give me the bull horn.” After a second of fumbling the commanding officer yelled at the Red Tide2 soldiers over the bull horn.
“What the hell do you think your doing!?!?! Are you insane this is not going to fly, who is the commanding officer over there?!?!” Then in a whisper he spoke to his subordinate.
“Contact brass let them know what’s going on.”

A man stepped forward he woree a bullet proof vest AND a flak jacket over that. A large helmet hid his face. In a monotone voice he said. "Meat Puppet Model 2, nubmer 334,123. Commander of the 3rd airborne division, Red Tide Military." Another man who loo exactly the same stepped forward, "Meat Puppet Model 2, number 212,567, commander of the 5th airborne division, Red Tide Military." He said, then both of them spoke in the monotone voice,"What do you want?"

OOC: Should have stated this earlier, but there are no cities in the sense we cities today. Just large villages or towns.
The city around the Palace would have been more like a modern day small town.

The six High Guard kneeled, began firing. Twelve shots, reload, fire again. One Guard dropped his weapon, an arrow sticking out of the shoulder joint of his armor. A second followed.

In the sky, hatches opened on the Sakura. Machine guns armed with depleted uranium shells trained themselves at the Yellow River soldiers, but did not fire. At the same time, the Sakura's football-field-long bulk began to descend into the square.

The second Guard was being hoisted into the Sakura via the ropes that brought down the people from Weyr. He was unfortunate to have gotten an arrow lodged between the two chest joints, a shot that was nearly impossible to make, and he would require the attention of proffessional medics aboard the Sakura.

OOC: I have 1 battleship 30 miles offshore and a carrier about 200 miles out, along with one ohio class nuke sub

IC:The Red Tideans had set up a perimeter consisting of machine gun, mortars, and air-droppable anti tank gun nests. The airfield was almost done... it was obvious that if they completed that airfield they would bring in RAVAGER artillery cannons.

OOC:The B-100 RAVAGER is a mobile artillery cannon equipped with 3 175 MM ETC cannons and a .50 caliber machine gun. It has 2 modes, mobile mode in which it moves around and siege mode in which it shoots its artillery guns. The guns are highly accurate(average miss rate is 5 meters). Their artillery guns minmum range is 1500 yards. A single shell can take out a entire section of the pentagon.

OOC:The MDM-2 is a hand held radar guided SAM... the MDM-1 is a anti-tank rocket launcher, the MDM-3 is a truck mounted SAM, and the MDM-4 is a SAM mounted on a tank chasis and can take out SRBMs and MRBMs.

OOC: the Phoenix Mk-2 is a missile designed to take out targets at up to 150km out, and can go at up to 950m/sec, and uses both an onboard AI package with its own infrared and radar detectors, and the Sakura's own detection systems.
The trebuchet Mk-1 is an interceptor missile designed to take out targets at up to 12km out, and has a max speed of 900m/sec.

I'll assume that the Sakura is sitting in between the Jacobian and the Red Tide forces.

5 men in olive draft uniforms armed with only P-14 .45ACP handguns, head to the capital. The CO says into a radio, "Windwalkers here, heading to friedndly capital." The men began to walk to the Yellow River capital with them is a translator. The men only have handguns, a map, radio, food and water. These men are members of the 1st Light Recon Regiment aka the Windwalkers.

"Mr. President, reports from several countries have indicated that a small country has been form. It seems very primitive, like around 3000BC or so."
"Very well. Send a delegate, but use the dragons, not modern aircraft." President Masaki said.

OOC: Dragons in our country are comparable to Apache Helicopters in firepower, and have armor that can stop most bullets. The creatures are not aggressive, but will flame when provoked.

Some hours later, a flight of about 10 dragons arrived in the area. The lead reptile carries Jakon, a historian and Jedi. The rest carries a diplomatic security force with some gifts.

The pilot of the Sakura sat at the forward console, linked directly to the ship via a myriad of thaumaturgic and mundane connections. As such, he could directly access every sensor and control array onboard the ship, and directly control its every action.

OOC:The RAVAGER artillery systems have a max range of 25 miles.
IC:The airstrip was completed on time. Already K-10s had began too land and unload the B-100s. A entire tank division was also being unloaded. As each RAVAGER rolled out of the airplanes they moved to a pre-determined area and deployed their stabilzers. They did not fire yet as they were waiting for the entire artillery battery too arrive.
OOC:The Main Battle Tank for Red Tide is the T-90SX, This is a T-90 modified too be larger and carry a 140mm ETC cannon.

its extremely hard to fire radar or heatseeking missiles at stealth planes at 40,000 feet.

OOC:the MDM-4 is able too track and shoot stealth airplanes and ones flying at the mid stratosphere or under. Recently deployed MDM-4s opened fire on the falling bombs. Both EMP bombs were hit but a number of cluster bombs got through destroying a line of empty K-10 cargo planes who were loading up on detained Yellow River citizens. Only the pilots and civilians got killed and the K-10s reduced too alunimium rubble. Already bulldozers manned by men in protective gear were pushing away the rubble.

OOC: My emp bombs upon being hit explode and destroy all electrical equipment withing 10000 yards

"Right-o, sir." Captain Conway said. The flight of dragons circled around, looking for a clearing that's not very dangerous. Upon finding one, they landed, near what looks like a small town by modern standards, but is likely the capital.

"We'll be right over you, Jo. You need anything?" Gerard asked over the com.

"2 Marks, 2 Ivies," Josiah sent tersely from the square over which the Sakura now hovered.

A pair of large bay doors opened in the bottom of the Sakura, releasing two pairs of purplish gelatinous blobs, which hit the ground withy a loud splat. Evaporating in mere seconds, they revealed a pair of Ivanova APCs and a pair of Mark III tanks.


"Everybody in," Josiah commanded, without shouting. "Let's find this emperor."

The men reach the capital of Yellow River. The translator starts asking where their leader is .

The last of the Artillery Battery arrived and went into siege mode... and the last tank also arrived. The Artillery began a pounding barrage. 1 by 1 each RAVAGER artillery system fired into the air. Each of the systems 3 cannons also fired one by one. The firing of the 175 mm cannons echoed through out the area.

Also engineers had come and set up SHRIKER-2 Multi-Purpose cannons.

OOC:SHRIKER-2 are a stationary non-artillery defensive gun emplacement which fires Anti-Infantry-Fragmentation Rounds(APF), Anti-Tank Rounds(AT), and Anti Aircraft Rounds(AA). One gun emplacent is armed with two 125 mm ETC cannons, They can rotate 360 degrees and can angle the turret too fire at both air and ground targets.

The WSS Sakura leveled off at 12,000 meters, and continued watching the events unfold from up high.

"Ser, at this rate we'll catch him in an hour, maybe less," the driver commented from inside the Mark III.
