Immediately after receiving the order for the destruction of The Swarms the hivemind assembled a fleet with enough firepower to wipe out the entire planet from which The Swarms came. Once the fleet had emerged from subspace in The Swarms home system a message was sent out from the Lucifer at the head of the fleet: "You are a hinderance to the Shivan Imperium and must be removed. Surrender will not help you. We are here to wipe you out."
