170mph seems kinda low. like a late WWI to early WWII fighter
what sets this apart from a normal F18?

what sets this apart from a normal F18?

the low speed, most likely.

The F-18 USH demonstrated stabilized flight at angles of attack between 80 and 90 degrees using thrust vectoring vanes. It can also fire missiles at angles of 90 degrees and still stay under control. If the plane goes out of control the pilot is ejected by a computer for if the pilot cannot grab the ejection handles.

The speed should be 270 not 170 sorry.

It's still dead. My plane has unleashed it's missile, destroyed the plane, and moved on- the problem is, it is entirely too slow. And the plane would shake apart, even with thrust vectoring, if it attempted to make 80-90 degree instant turns. Remember: Inertia is NOT your friend..
