I will go through a post by post description of all major buildings in the new capital.
El Palacio Real - Royal Palace
It was time the Emperor Jonathan VI, of the Macabee Empire, build himself a new home in his Empire. He chose the site of his new city on a fairly large island owned by the Catalan/Finegold Dynasty (his dynasty) some 50km from the current capital of Macabea.
The Royal Palace would be fairly large - bigger than all others. However, it would be centered around a square building, built in the French Baroque style - some 400 feet tall, with steel support, and five stories (tall stories). The outside would be wholly Baroque, with statues of Roman gods and godesses, and of the old Macabee Empires (Jonathan I through Jonathan V). The outside would also resemble the Roman Colliseum - with each level have a different type of supporting colomn - Corinthian on the bottom, Ionic second floor, Doric, third, Tuscan fourth and finally a butress like column on the final floor. Each floor outside would also have several arch like vaults in which these 'statues' would be placed. The statues, of course, would be of pure marble.
The top of this central building will have a gigantic dome, supported by a pentative, allowing lights to go through small windows, allowing it to seem it was floating on light (for ex. look at Hagia Sophia, Instanbul). This dome was going to be the largest dome ever throughout the world - reknown for ages, for its beauty and regalness. Inside it would be coffered to substract from the weight.
The central building would have a double wing, the outside surface being the same as the center building (to keep it matching)...however, at the ends of each wing (jutting at a 90 degree angle from the main building) wiill be two smaller golden domes, supported by squinches (pure gold).
In the gated courtyard, large at that, some 1,500 sq. meters. will be dominated by a large equistrian statue of current Emperor Jonathan VI. It will be of marble, and gold, with rear gems, and extremely beatiful. All of this will be sorrounded by a fantastic garden.
All in all, the new Royal Palace is destined to attract hundreds of thousands of national and international visitors every year - and once the city is opened there will be sustained tours of some parts of the palace.
Rumors also put it that the palace is going to have over 300 rooms, with golden chandeliers, and several in door waterfalls...also equipped with four heated pools, and several recreational rooms. This is truly for royalty. The palace will be protected at all times by a contigent of one thousand royal guards, equipped with the powerful Macabee H&K '04 Assault Gun.
The Palace will be a main focus for the Praetorian Defense System, and one of the top rooms will be a RADAR station, using the Oculus in the dome (the hole at the top..ex. look at Pantheon) as a ray escape for the wave dish. No, the dome will not be able to be seen from the inside, the palace is too large.
OOC: The explenation would be better..but it's late and I have to go to bed :P
